I might like King even better than Rome! He’s a dad with one thing on his mind: protecting his daughter and giving her the best in life. But he’s had a bit of a bad run with nannies because, well, he’s a movie star. And then comes Briar. At first, he’s dead set against her. But then he sees just how great she is with Zoe, how genuine she is, and how utterly NOT looking to bag a star she is. And that’s beyond rare for his circles in this life. But as these two get to know each other, painful secrets are shared, attraction grows, and speculation turns into revenge by one who should’ve been in their corner all along. Can their relationship survive it?

Oddly enough, I found myself truly enjoying Nix and King’s mother here. They appear to be looking for real redemption and forgiveness, so maybe new leaves can be a thing for this family. And Nix becomes the savior and support that Briar desperately needs at a pivotal time, which also spurs King into the actions he’s been dying to take for a little while, too. So we get love, some drama that is all too real feeling, new chances, and hope all in one fell swoop. And…..communication! King and Briar actually excel at this, and that makes their story an automatic win to me.

Now I can’t wait to see how things turn out for Nix. He’s earned my interest and he’s definitely earned a chance at happiness now!

The perfect Cinderella love story hollywood style! Briar & Kingston’s story is such a sweet one! And Zoe is icing on the cute cake! This is the 2nd book in the series. It can be read as a stand alone but the first one is definitely worth reading. I’m really looking forward to Phoenix’s book. Hope it will be out soon!

This was a great book full of a slow burn romance that you will cheer for. King and Briar have passion and trust issues but it all ends in love. There is drama, family issues, romance. I enjoyed this book.

Briar has just been through a rough divorce that has gutted her and is in no way, shape, or form in the mood to start a new relationship so she’s the obvious choice to become the new nanny for Kingston Grier’s toddler, right? Kingston, “Captain America” Grier has a huge distrust of women after the shenanigans his mother and ex-wife put him through. His love for his daughter is commendable but initially seems like a bit of a jerk to Briar. He quickly softens toward her after seeing the loving care she shows baby Zoe and sharing close quarters soon brings the simmering heat between the two to a boil. This book is another great read by this author and a nice quick romance with very relatable characters. I love the idea of this hot and lovable movie star being kind of a grump in real life, Briar’s Disney loving parents (“Sleeping Beauty” is my favorite too) are comical, and little Zoe is adorable. The heat intensity is low to medium with some steamy points, but the logistics of ordinary Briar and mega star Kingston forming a relationship is everyone’s childhood dream of their movie star crush. This is book two in the Grier brothers series. You don’t have to have read Roman’s story first to enjoy this one but I highly suggest you you do because it’s really good too. 4.5 stars, must read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

From the first page to the last, packed with action, steam and unexpected twists. Gillian had me stumped! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for some relaxing afternoon story.

3 Stars Fighting for King was a great nanny/single dad trope novel, especially with the added bonus of him being a famous actor. It was fairly predictable, but enjoyable nonetheless. I always adore seeing the dad wrapped around his little daughter’s finger, and Kingston and Zoe were no exception. A satisfying HEA; definitely recommend this one if you love these tropes.

I wasn’t sure if I would fall in love with King, but I did. He redeems himself for me. I love how much he loves his daughter, but boy was he a you know what towards Briar in the beginning! I’m not sure I would have been able to stay at this job if I had been her. I would have wanted to punch him! Lol

Briar needs a higher paying job to pay off her student loans and pay for IVF. Luckily her BFF has found the perfect job for her. Now if only she could resist Hollywood’s hunkiest hunk. And his sweet little girl!

This one can be read completely on its own even though it is book 2 within a series. No cheating and yes a happily ever after for our main characters.
