A heart-wrenching series altogether, Ambrielle and Kir's story adds another entertaining and moving story of love to the line up. Kir "Master" no longer cares if he lives or dies. His role in Torpedo Ink is the expendable one and he's ready for the end. But when his most recent mission uncovers a plot that turns them onto Ambrielle Moore, he's more surprised than anyone that he cares about her outcome.

Ambrielle loves her life. She has a job she loves and great parents. No one could anticipate coming to the attention of a crazy person with too much money and an obsession. Now, her parents have been murdered and her inheritance is the target of greed and a psychopath. Who would have thought that that combination would lead her to the person she would come to cherish the most.

I absolutely love getting each and every member of Torpedo Ink's individual stories. It still surprises me how unique they can be while also continuing to mine the depths of human atrocity. I hope to hell no real person has personal histories like this but with so much greed and corruption in the world it truly wouldn't surprise me either. A wonderful series full of love, redemption, and light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the best Torpedo Ink story to date.

Master thinks he’s not an important member of the club. They only want him to go into prison’s to take care of there business. Every time he losses a little more of himself and his sanity.

“It’s nice not to feel alone. Thank you for giving that to me.”

Ambrielle has been targeted by a evil man. The club and Master come to her rescue. She marries a man she doesn’t know for revenge and safety. She is a tough strong capable woman is her own right.

“I’m pretty sure she used to be a quiet little thing,”

She’d always be his fairy princess.

This series just like any Feehan story is always on my go to list. This one was a huge hit. I’ve always loved Blythe but she shows us just how bad she can be in the story.

“Honey, would you and Master do me a huge favor and take out the trash while I show Ambrielle my gardens?

I really hope this amazing talented author keeps bringing us many more adventures like this for years to come.

I think Ambrielle is my favorite heroine yet from the “Torpedo Ink” series. Christine Feehan has created a woman who is smart, strong, and even when the chips are down will still come out fighting. Early on in the book there is a scene with her parents that is just heartbreaking and yet at the same time you can see where she gets her chutzpah from.

Then shortly thereafter Ambrielle meets Master and I will give you this one spoiler: they meet when she stabs him with a knife. Mind you the knife doesn’t even stab him (lmao). I literally laughed out loud during this scene. Feehan creates action sequences that you shake your head at and hold your breath at the same time.

Feehan mixes up the romance this time around which is a nice change. Anyone who is familiar with Feehan’s writing will know that lately Feehan has added BDSM elements to her romance, but this one has none. I like both, but it is nice to go back to some vanilla every now and again. Though I will say that having the male interest’s name be “Master” and not have any BDSM in it was a little disconcerting (chuckle).

Once again, Feehan adds in a tough subject matter to her story and that is alcoholism and the effects of incarceration. I applaud the delving into matters that are real and usually not talked about in romances. This does not mean that the story drowns in it, but Feehan adds just enough to flavor the story without weighing it down.

I think Master and Ambrielle are my favorite couple of the series. I may say this for every book, I’m not sure I will have to go back and check, but I stand by Master and Ambrielle. I love their evolution of love. Feehan does an outstanding job of not rushing this relationship yet giving us what we need as readers.

Recovery Road might be my favorite book out of the “Torpedo Ink” series. Each book has gotten better in the series and this one is the best…so far.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

In the latest installment of Feehan's Torpedo Ink series, Recovery Road features Master, and new character Ambrielle. Though Master has been with the other members of the club since childhood, he views himself as separate based on the work he is often tasked with on behalf of the club. After his latest stint in prison for club business, Master is released and immediately finds himself drawn to a photo of Ambrielle, and the club's scheme to find out how's after them -- and also Ambrie. Featuring a marriage of convenience, the central couple is quickly thrown together, and she is folded into the club. As is usual with this series, the club members operate on their own set of rules and morals. Master is no exemption, but as he fast becomes enamoured with his wife, he worries that his life may be too much for her to accept. Dealing with the grief and trauma of losing her parents, Ambrie looks to Master for comfort, and security.
I really enjoyed the latest installment in the series, and would recommend to fans of motorcycle romances, and light paranormal romance.

First Impressions
Recovery Road is the eighth installment in the “Torpedo Ink” series and this is “Master”‘s story. I was so excited to get to his story, he is such a man of mystery and throughout the series, I have been wanting to get his character explored more and more. The setup of the romance was definitely my cup of tea, I have always loved seeing the marriage of convenience and I rarely see this in an MC romance, so I was so happy to see how it was done and the ways in which it played out. There is such strength in both characters as they come together and they are just right for each other in the ways that they balance each other out. Christine Feehan definitely delivered on this one and I was so happy that it was done just like this. And I would say it’s also one of my top favorites of the series, Feehan really has outdone herself on this gem.

Summary
Recovery Road begins with our hero, Kir or also known as “Master” Vasiliev who is at his breaking point. He has sacrificed so much for Czar and the club. He has been used in his mind in getting information and using his prison record to get him to get information. But after his recent visit, he knows he can’t do this ever again, even if it means walking away from the only family he has ever known. But then information is received that a young woman is being manipulated, her parents are being murdered in front of her, and the only way to protect her is for one of them to marry her in a marriage of convenience. Master senses that there is something special about this woman and is the first one to volunteer. When Ambrielle, sees her parents murdered in front of her to gain access to their money, and she is kidnapped. She doesn’t know how she will survive but is determined to get justice for what happened to her parents. When she is rescued by Master, she realizes that she will have to marry him to protect her family’s interests, she senses the strong connection between the two and is willing to do whatever it takes. As Master and Ambrielle go on this journey, their bond will only grow but will Ambrielle get the justice she needs for her parents, and will she and Master be able to build a partnership of respect and love?

What I Loved
There was so much to truly be endeared by this story. I just couldn’t seem to get enough of these two and all that they endured. There is so much strength in both of the characters and seeing the way that they build their relationship was so beautiful. I have to say that I was immediately drawn into this story and my heart immediately broke for Master and what he is struggling with. And you see that he is at his breaking point. And then you know what is to happen with the heroine and seeing the way she loses her loving parents was so heartwrenching. I just felt so deeply for both characters but the way in which they come together and are so willing to work on their marriage was so endearing. I loved how mature both characters are, and not petty or selfish in any way. They just see what needs to be done, and embrace what they can have together. It felt so refreshing to see a couple willing to work hard at what they have and see it as an opportunity and blessing. I truly fell hard for both characters and they had such strength and tenacity in what needed to be done. The MC really bonds with the heroine and I loved that they didn’t put her through the wringer of tests, haha I also liked that the heroine battled for the hero even against the club to make sure he was being treated fairly and honestly. She just rocked my world in so many ways. There was such a healthy portrayal of the relationship and such GREAT communication. Like can we have this be a trend in more romances these days? haha, I honestly had such a fun time with this story and was unable to put this one down. Feehan did wonders with this one and I am so happy with how it was written and ended up being a fully satisfying read.

What I Struggled With
I honestly didn’t really struggle with anything on this one, it was such a well-done romance

Overall View
I found Recovery Road to be a tantalizing read from beginning to end. It’s a story that will endear you to the characters, embrace a healthy relationship that is so captivating, balanced out with lots of laugh and family connection, and deliver in every way a heart-melting experience that each reader can embrace!

Recovery Road is the 8th book in the Torpedo Ink and I found this installment very entertaining and loved the male and female leads. The book features Kir “Master” Vasiliev and Ambrielle Moore. Master lives like recklessly because he doesn’t care whether he lives or dies. The things he has had to do for the club have left him at the end of his tether. Ambrielle Moore is an investment banker who was forced to watch the execution of her parents and almost forced to marry a deranged mobster wanna-be.

Christine Feehan did an excellent job providing us with a perfect mix of exciting action, endearing romance and blazing hot intimacy. The book flows really well and is very hard to put down. As usual it was wonderful to be brought back to the Torpedo Ink family. The entire series is based on such a unique premise and the characters from the MC are all damaged in some way. It is always interesting to see who they will be matched with. The special someone that is going to fill the void and put their pieces back together while accepting them for the individual they are.

I would highly recommend this book to people who enjoy the works of Kristen Ashley's Chaos series or Chantal Fernando's Wind Dragon MC series.

I was provided an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.

Such an excellent addition to the Torpedo Ink series! This was a very well written story full of "you-look-at-her/him-I-will-kill=you" vibes and a lot of good twists and turns. If you follow the series, it has excellent insight into the other members and their growing relationships and families and just how far this crew has come and overcome. Excellent read, looking forward to the next one!

Recovery Road is the next book in the Torpedo Ink series and it does not disappoint. Before this book, I didn't have much a sense about Master's character, which help me go in with no expectations. The story did feel like a bit of a reset in a way after the intensity of the steamy scenes in Annihilation Road and Savage Road.
The club wasn't too involved until later in the story and that helped Master and Ambrie establish their characters. Master was definitely more vulnerable throughout the book than the previous heroes of the series were. He is hesitant to let himself fall for Ambrie, but didn't seem to be holding as much rage about his past as they did.
I really liked that in Recovery Road, we see a different perspective of the club from one of the members. Master had a unique experience to them growing up and while he would give his life for anyone in the club, he also has a bit of resentment towards them, especially Czar.
This story will definitely satisfy Feehan fans and be one I can recommend to readers unfamiliar with Feehan's work.

This is my favorite Torpedo Ink novel! It is the story of Master and Ambrielle (Ambrie). It really is a beautiful love story. As with all the T.I. novels, there could be triggers for more sensitive readers, but less than some of the other books.
Readers will learn Master's back story in the brutal prison the children grew up in. He got his road name in a far different way than I had suspected. He is a rough tough member of the club, but Ambrie helps him find the humanity he thought he lost, or never had.
Ambries parents are murdered in front of her and she is determined to seek revenge, I liked the way the author had them come together.
There is also some humor in this book, which really did make me laugh. After reading the entire series so far I feel like I know these characters, and enjoy the humor between them.
Ambrie is by far my favorite wife in the series. She is intelligent, tough and determined. She never waivers or backs down in her choices. She is strong of character, a perfect match for Master. And she proves an asset to the club, as Czar knew she would....
This is really a fantastic love story, I am reading it again, and will definitely purchase it on release day.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this book.
