When Grace Evans tosses a dartboard at a map and it lands in the middle-of-nowhere Wyoming, she decides thatโ€™s where sheโ€™ll take her next, much needed, vacation.

Told from two different viewpoints, You Shouldnโ€™t Have Come Here is full of mystery and suspense!Grace has never been to Wyoming. Living in New York, Wyoming is the last place sheโ€™d expect to find herself in, but sheโ€™s here for the next ten days and plans on making the best of it.

Calvin has had his eyes on Grace since the moment she stepped out of her car. As Grace gets accommodated with her new home away from home, Calvin begins to grow more and more obsessed with her and her โ€œblue, blue eyes.โ€

Grace begins to feel like the beautiful ranch is hiding something more sinister and the townspeople seem to be hiding things as well.

One word: wow. This book was off the rails crazy during the last 10% or so. I was completely blown away by the ultimate twist, and I loved it. The lead up was great too, if sometimes a bit too repetitive, but otherwise, the characters were absolutely amazing. I had Calvin set up in my mind as a stoic, slightly awkward man, so imagine my surprise at that twist! Seriously, this ending will have you gaping. Pick up a copy ASAP!

This mystery thriller felt cosy and welcoming at the start, but very quickly weaved in small seeds of doubt. I was intrigued and found the story easy to fly through.

A few twists were predictable but the final ending played out in a way I wasnโ€™t expecting, despite knowing something was off throughout.

I loved reading from both Grace and Calvinโ€™s POVโ€™s and piecing together their dynamic.

I almost gave up on this book halfway through because there was some suspense but not a lot of real action. However, it suddenly picked up and the ending was explosive and totally unexpected!!! I'm glad I finished reading this book. I gave it 4 stars only because it took awhile for the author to get to the great ending.

Thanks so much NetGalley and Blackstone.

Grace goes on a random vacation to Wyoming and stays at an Air BNB. She and the host, Calvin, flirt. As things progress, things also get weirder and weirder. Then get worse. Is it too late for her to leave?

This wasn't good. The writing wasn't the best, and I struggled to finish. I kept going to see what and when it would happen. The twist wasn't exactly thought provoking and did not make up for everything that came before it. Grace and Calvin are not likable at all. I kind of knew immediately that this would not be a good read for me based on a meal they share in the begging (beans and bacon). It reminded me of a story I wrote in 4th grade using that week's spelling words. I haven't read this author before, but she is popular. Maybe I"ll read her other works. I wish I liked this and I don't like leaving a negative review, but this was one book that I didn't understand the hype.

I finished this in one sitting! I literally couldnโ€™t put it down. It hooked me from the very beginning and I loved it

I've been going back and forth between 3 and 3.5 stars and leaning closer to 3.5. I looooove the cover - it immediately drew me in. I also find Jeneva Rose's books to be super quick reads that I don't want to put down, which was the case with You Shouldn't Have Come Here. The story describes each day of Grace's solo "vacation" to an isolated Airbnb in Wyoming. To say that things get wild is an understatement. Some reviewers mentioned their dislike with the level of romance in the book, but I was totally fine with it and would still classify this as a thriller. Also, I loved the nod to Colleen Hoover. I had some suspicions in the beginning, and the author did a great job of making me continue to change my mind on what I was thinking. The ending was pretty intense. I sat back and thought about the book for a bit once I finished. For me, there were some things that didn't quite make sense or additional information that maybe would've cleared some things up for me. Overall, I liked this one and look forward to the author's next book.

Traveling alone is something that Iโ€™ve always wanted to do. Me being the person that I am, Iโ€™ve never taken that overseas trip alone. My mind always goes to the ugly side of life and with good reason.

This started a lot differently than I thought it would. We meet Grace, then we meet the handsome Airbnb host, and then things get weird. That's what I thought was going to happen and it kind of did but it also didn't. I know, confusing. Welcome to my life! We eventually get there but there is a lot more romance than I thought. Talk about slow burn. This was my first time reading this author, so I didn't know what to expect.

The story was okay. The mystery was kind of a letdown because most things were obvious. Grace stuck around a lot longer than I would have but there is a reason for that. Talk about a match made in hell. I'm sorry but I would have gotten out of there a long time ago. There's a nice relaxing hotel in the next town over and that's where I'll be. Grace really stuck it out and I was scratching my head in wonder. I kept screaming, "Get the hell out of there!"

Have you noticed all the beer swigging in this book?

You Shouldn't Have Come Here was okay but left it just didn't do it for me. It took too long to get anywhere and I just kind of shrugged when the answers came raining down from the sky. This was a very cookie cutter type of layout and I wanted something a little different. The end piece with Grace was what saved this from being a complete downer.

I will read anything Jeneva Rose writes at this point. I was hooked on this book from page 1. I love being creeped out and having the heebie jeebies while reading and this book did just that.
Both of the main characters are trouble and I loved trying to find out who was going to be the bigger psychopath.
The ending was the only ending that would have worked but I also didn't feel satisfied. It felt very similar to two other very popular books and it almost felt cheap to end it in this way.

This was a bit of a slog. None of the characters were believable or likeable, and worse still, the two main characters' voices--the story is told from both perspectives--were barely discernible.

I reallyyyyy wanted to love this. I think this author just may not be for me. The cover for this book is amazing: creepy and remote. It set the mood for the thriller. But 75% of the book was a cheesy romance with jealous, odd, dumb characters. Where is the thrill? Who is doing what? Where is this going? I was going to not finish the book but due to previous reviews, the ending seems like the best part. And i guess it was. This should be considered a romantic suspense novel and not a thriller.

If you are looking for suspense and a gripping thriller, this book is for you. There are so many twists and turns that had me guessing until the very end. It's fast paced and will grab your attention from the beginning until the end.

4 stars!

you shouldnโ€™t have come here follows our two main characters Grace Evans & Calvin Wells, Grace is looking for an escape from her life & books a trip thatโ€™s a long ways from home to a Airbnb owned by non other then Calivn Wells. However when Grace arrives things seem strange & lies start to form between her & Calvin as the days go by. Something isnโ€™t right in the town of Wyoming & Grace is determined to know whatโ€™s really going on.

this book kept me on my toes almost the entire time, from beginning to end I honestly had so many different ideas to what the ending could of looked like & it was nothing like what I thought in the most messed up way lol. Jeneva has a way of making you sceptical of almost all of the characters & completely throwing you off when the truth comes to light. Itโ€™s safe to say that I will continue to read her books that follow in the future!

I loved Jeneva Rose's first book, and I liked You Shouldn't Have Come Here even better. The author kept me guessing throughout the pages. Was Calvin a good guy or a bad guy? Was Joe really the bad brother? What about annoying Char, who was really in love with Calvin? All I kept thinking is I would have thought of a way to get out the day Grace fell into the ditch filled with dead animals. Ugh. Anyway, Jeneva's ending was brilliant, and I never saw it coming.

You Shouldnโ€™t Have Come Here. By Jeneva Rose publishes April 2023. Grace likes to leave her everyday life to stay at an excluded arnb to become balanced. But is this Wyoming arnb and people a smart choice. This story has a lot of surprises and twists. Stay on your toes with this one

I devour Rose's writing style. Her witty personality comes through her writing - I am a big fan. She is and will continue to be an auto-read author.

That said, this one was a miss for me. It all became too much. Rose delivered on the twists and turns, but the characters became so unlikeable that I found it difficult to stay invested in the story. There were too many extremes, and it felt like some members of the cast of characters took up pages that they didn't deserve.

I wanted to check out of the air b/b, and didn't care if Grace made it out alive or dead.

Iโ€™ll admit romantic suspense isnโ€™t typically my go-to genre, but I made an exception for this book because the premise sounded super creepy โ€ฆ and I love a good isolation thriller. This story moved quickly, had just the right amount of breadcrumbs and red herrings sprinkled throughout, and the ending definitely took me by surprise. Definitely recommend if youโ€™re in the mood for an entertaining read!

Another fast paced read from the contemporary queen of thrillers! I like how this Airbnb thriller had the perspective of both the main girl, Grace, who was staying in this ranch and of Calvin, the presumed psychopath who's rented a room out in his home for people to stay in.

There's definitely a bit of a twist at the end and having both main characters perspectives kept you on your toes not knowing who to trust.

Thank you to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for allowing me an ARC copy of this book.

Grace Evans is looking for time off from the hustle and bustle of New York City. As a certified workaholic, she is ready to exchange her laptop for plane tickets and treat herself to her annual vacation. When she finds Calvin's farm in scenic Wyoming, everything seems picturesque. Grace soon finds out that the hallmark town is anything but picture perfect. The more time she spends with the locals, the more Grace learns that there are secrets deeper than the family recipe at play.

**Spoilers ahead**

I was interested by this book, but not completely sucked in. I did enjoy the split POV. I thought the relationship with Calvin and Grace was a little drawn out and the scenes started to feel a little repetitive. I had a dislike for some of the antagonist characters, but I didn't truly grow to *loathe* any of them. I was surprised by the twist of Grace being a killer herself at the end. I would have thought that if it was going that way that it would have been something like she goes after serial killers to rid the world of them while also scratching her itch. Nope, she just kills people too and happened upon Calvin. Again, I was not completely awed by this book, but it was a good airplane read. For all of it, I give this book a 3.5-3.75.

Let me start by saying I hate to give a bad review. But, this book was just a little too much for me. Grace needs a break from her busy life in NY and decides to go and stay at an AirBnB, totally by chance. It is a ranch in the middle of nowhere but she is looking forward to the peace and quiet and just being able to unwind.
When Calvin, the owner of the ranch, sees Grace for the first time he is struck by her beauty. And, there is where the author lost me.
The instant infatuation/obsession was a little much for me. I don't care how attractive she is, the book takes place over a week and you would think this is the only woman that has ever been in the world. He is trying to do anything to get her to stay like she is his lifeline.
There are some twists and turns but it was too far fetched for me.

You Shouldnt Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose is a thrilling, quick read, perfect for a cozy weekend.
I read this book right after reading The Perfect Marriage, so I tried early on to guess the twist. I enjoyed the Perfect Marriage's set up and twists and turns. This novel after the first felt a little more confused. It was a thriller romance but too predictable for me after reading The Perfect Marriage. I felt untrusting of the main character and was frustrated by her. But it was an entertaining read, and maybe if you did not just read another of the authors books, you might not guess the ending.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of this title.
