I did not realize this was a devotional. I found it to be basic and simple. Which if that's what you are looking for then I think it would be perfect. I tend to enjoy things that are a little deeper and richer. But for a new believer or someone new to Jesus it might be an excellent place to start.

This devotional work spans 90 days and offers concise yet uplifting readings. It draws parallels between lessons derived from our everyday experiences, whether they involve household chores, interactions with nature, gardening, or moments spent with family and friends within our homes. The author skillfully links these commonplace occurrences to profound spiritual insights. "The body of Christ is both orderly and planned and a crazy quilt of unexpected joys and blossoms. There's a particular pleasure in witnessing both gardens flourish in their beauty, so keep planting."While I read the ebook version, it is evident that this book would be best enjoyed in a hard copy format, allowing readers to appreciate the accompanying images and providing an inviting layout for perusal, perhaps even for guests to pick up during a visit.

I love the quiet beauty of this 90-day devotional. The theme of meeting Jesus in the little, everyday moments at home speaks directly to my heart. Not only are the Scriptures referenced in each devotion helpful in growing the reader’s relationship with Christ, the devotions themselves are a great reminder to pay attention to all the little things God sprinkles into our daily lives that can bring us joy if we take the time to notice them.

Thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

A 90 day devotional of short thought provoking messages to help you draw closer to God each day. At the end of the devotional, hopefully this time each day will become a firm habit. Each one takes a few minutes to read leaving you with plenty of time to ponder the deeper significance of what you have read.

The concept behind this devotional is great. I love the author's decision to establish a theme and stick with it. This is not a devotional that I would necessarily read but, nevertheless, a good choice for those looking for something outside of the norm.

There is just something about coming to God’s word that leaves you refreshed. Sometimes I just open the Bible and start reading but there are times when I need a little guidance and that’s where Devotionals come in. I will be the first to admit that while I love devotionals and have quite a few I never truly finish them. I do however pick them up when I just want a more guided time with God but this new one by @sandrabyrdbooks was perfect and I finished the whole thing and will likely pick it up and read again. Dwell is a great devotion book! Full of beautiful photographs but best of all Sandra writes in a way that feels like she’s next to you having a cup of coffee and sharing a scrumptious dessert while talking about God. She gives real examples with insights in her life and leaves you with a Bible verse to ponder on.

The devotions are short and sweet so perfect if you just need a refresher throughout your day or morning. I read them during the morning time with my cup of coffee right before I started my day! If you are looking for a devotional I definitely recommend this one and this would make a great gift!!

This was a lovely book of encouraging devotionals with Christian quotations. They were a bit simple, I thought, but provide hope for each day. It's a great coffee table book, or present for a friend. I prefer Sandra Byrd's blog, but I liked the book.

I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Dwell - 90 Days at Home with God by Sandra Byrd is an excellent devotional showing God’s love and guidance in the familiar everyday life. God is often seen in the quiet everyday which this book so aptly reminds the reader. There is something for everyone in this devotional.

Each day’s devotional is short but poignant with a timely Bible verse. They speak to the heart as much as the mind. This is a devotional that one can fit into any day giving one something to think on as they go about their daily chores and work. It would always make a wonderful gift with the full color photographs to go with the thought-provoking devotional.

The publisher through Net Galley provided a complimentary digital copy. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

Amazing Read

I received a copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Sandra Byrd for the opportunity to read your book. This was an incredible read. It was a 90-day devotional, but I read it in 4 days because they taught me about how to live my life building a personal relationship with God and how to always draw near Him. He is the One who will never leave us nor forsake us. This devotional provides insights in how to live for the Lord and to be blessed by the blessings that God has for you. It teaches you how to overcome and persevere through the things that you go through in life. You can do anything with Christ by your side. You just have to surrender and give all him. As James 4:8 says “Draw near to God, and He will draw near you.” I loved it and I am inspired by the lessons in this book. They motivate me to be better and reach out to the world. Overall, an amazing read.

What a marvelous devotional! I loved it! I have read several books by this author, and with the book's description, I knew I would probably enjoy it! Ms. Byrd uses observations of her home and yard to draw the reader' interest, and applies it to spiritual insights and Scripture, for a page a day for 90 days. Her writing flows well and her thoughts are meaningful. One sample page talks about when the author and her family moved to a new place, she was delighted at the previous owner's "playing it forward" gardening. As a result, she was inspired to garden, leaving it for the next person when they rented property. Ms. Byrd observed that such kingdom planting, for long or short periods, results in the Master Gardener causing growth. It is such a please to garden with our brothers and sisters.

I was able to read this e-book compliments of the publisher and author. The opinions expressed are my own.

Dwell is the second devotional I've read by Sandra Byrd and she doesn't disappoint in this one. This devotional is entirely different than Experiencing God, in this devotional she weaves everyday life into encouraging, uplifting yet brief devotions that are perfect for reading with your morning coffee.

This will be a devotional that I will use again and again.

This was a very lovely 90 day devotional that I throughly enjoyed. The devotions centered around home and family with ideas on decorating, gardening and everyday situations. The photos included were beautiful and fit right along with that day’s reading. Included were scriptures at the bottom that gave me food for thought.
Weeds Hiding, Bread Basket, Broken Vessels and Tea for Two were just some of the daily titles. I loved how the author gave a reference to how God works within each devotional. The title is perfect too. We dwell in our homes but the Holy Spirit dwells within us if we are Christians. Bonus: This was published by Our Daily Bread, which I’ve been reading for many years. Sandra Byrd has written other devotional books which I need to check out.
I received a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher/author but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.

I began this devotional during a very difficult season of my life. At first, I disciplined myself to read it to make sure that I was setting aside time to put something good in my day. But soon, I found myself looking forward to the wisdom and faith lesson I would find that day. I truly appreciated these meaningful devotions with fantastic word pictures from nature, home, family and everyday life. Byrd’s illustrations were thought provoking and each day I focused on one thing to take with me. Some days the direct yet encouraging application questions helped open my eyes or spurn me into action. The book itself is the perfect size and easy to hold or transport. The pictures are amazing and enhance the devotionals as they are matched so well. Definitely a great gift idea! I plan to use this devotional again as it will always have a special place in my heart. I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Take ninety days to find refreshment among familiar sights with fresh insights. The author weaves stories from her personal life into devotions that touch the heart and guide the reader closer to God. The book is beautifully illustrated with color photos and decorations to highlight the pages and Bible verses. I appreciated the honesty and empathy shown by the author. I recommend this for personal or family devotions. I received a copy from the author and publisher. All opinions are my own. #Dwell #NetGalley

I highly recommend Sandra Byrd’s “Our Daily Bread”-published devotional, Dwell: 90 Days at Home with God. I received a pre-published copy of this book and must admit, Dwell is hard to put down (though intended to be read daily). Sandra’s captivating vignettes easily plant God’s word in the heart and provide a perfect way to abide closer to Jesus. Though I’ve enjoyed Sandra’s other works like friendships, Dwell makes us sisters in Christ.

Sandra Byrd’s new devotional, Dwell: 90 Days at Home With God is a beautiful book. In it you will find 90 individual devotionals, each one centered around themes such as gardening, family, friendship, and food, all under the umbrella of home. Each day contains a topic, short (and warm) devotional, Scriptures throughout and one focus Scripture that ties it all together.

When I came back to Jesus in my early twenties, I spent most of my time reconnecting with Him through devotions in my women’s Bible, and other materials that were devotional in nature. It was a simple and comforting way to learn. It encourages and edifies the Body of Christ and often provides a word in due season. This devotional reminds me of that time in my life.

As I read, I found one devotional that had the theme of marigolds. I was instantly reminded of my childhood, the smell of marigolds and playing in the dirt. I am sure God was there in that experience; it evokes such joy and comfort in my heart.

Dwell has an overall warm and cozy theme. The pictures are gorgeous and it is just a very beautiful book.

If you are looking for a nugget of encouragement each day, I would recommend Dwell to you. You might just be inspired to become more creative in your home, as you grow in your walk with God. Read it with a cup of tea and a cozy blanket or sitting in your favorite chair. It would make a nice gift for a friend or your mom this Mother’s Day.

Blessings to you as you continue to grow in grace, and allow God to meet you in the quiet spaces of home.

Using real life examples from her own home life and experiences, this author conversationally provides uplifting and encouraging short, daily devotionals to show how God is working through her life. I enjoyed the concrete examples and scripture passages that relate to each day's reading. The photography is beautiful and a joy to study.

This is the first devotional I have read by Sandra Byrd and I absolutely adore it. Dwell is the perfect addition to one's Bible Study time. The practical insights to daily life are refreshing, allowing me to take a simple thought and make an easy application to my life. It also goes well with my personal goal, of allowing/making God part of my every day life, wanting to 'dwell' in HIs presence, but also, wanting Him to 'dwell' within my life and home. Each devotional is presented with a short story of daily occurrences that are so easy to 'see' within my life, as if it was written personally for me.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher through Netgalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
