An interesting book to help with understanding finances, your emotions with money and the why behind our spending. Helpful for sure but kinda fell flat for me.

"The Money & Meaning Journey" by Bernier is a transformative and insightful guide that invites readers to embark on a profound exploration of the intersection between personal wealth and true fulfillment. With a blend of personal anecdotes, practical advice, and thought-provoking exercises, Bernier offers a roadmap for aligning financial success with a deeper sense of purpose and meaning.

One of the book's notable strengths is the author's ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible and relatable manner. Bernier's writing style is engaging and conversational, making it easy for readers to connect with the material and apply it to their own lives. Each chapter is well-structured and offers a blend of theoretical insights and actionable steps, ensuring that readers can put the book's principles into practice.

Throughout the book, Bernier emphasizes the importance of introspection and self-reflection in the pursuit of both financial abundance and personal fulfillment. The author encourages readers to delve into their values, passions, and long-term goals, providing practical exercises and prompts to facilitate this introspective journey. By intertwining financial strategies with the exploration of meaning and purpose, Bernier offers a holistic approach that transcends mere monetary success.

Another strength of "The Money & Meaning Journey" is Bernier's emphasis on the positive impact that individuals can have on the world through their financial choices. The author encourages readers to align their wealth with their values, considering not only their personal financial goals but also the broader impact they can make in areas such as social responsibility and environmental sustainability. This integration of money and meaning provides a refreshing perspective on wealth that goes beyond traditional notions of financial success.

However, some readers may find that the book could benefit from further exploration of certain topics. For instance, while Bernier touches on the challenges that individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds may face in their pursuit of financial freedom and meaning, a more in-depth examination and guidance in this area would enhance the book's relevance and applicability to a wider range of readers.

In summary, "The Money & Meaning Journey" is an inspiring and practical guide that invites readers to redefine their relationship with money and discover a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment. Bernier's approachable writing style, combined with the integration of financial strategies and personal growth exercises, creates a compelling narrative that empowers readers to align their financial goals with their values and make a positive impact in the world. Whether you are seeking financial success, personal growth, or a more meaningful approach to wealth, this book is a valuable companion on the journey to prosperity and fulfillment.

This book is an interesting one not because of it's talking honey and investment but because of the approach to the topic. The unique side is what you will reflect on after you finish reading. The key focus is around purpose in life and how to find it and most likely your life purpose that creates a meaning to your life is not connected to money at all. Money can be earned and lost and purpose is something you can find, enjoy and it can't be taken away.

Backed with years in financial planning as a Financial Advisor, the author shares some key insights on money, purpose and investments. I did not know what to expect when I selected this book to read, all I saw were two words 'money & meaning,' and now in my mid-thirties, it's like money comes and goes and I cannot for the love of numbers decipher where it goes.
This book is written in parts and each segment follows the journey of making meaning of money ( the way I interpreted it)- my favorite came in part three which is "The Wealth Management Toolbox" and has a variety of exercises and practice questions to gain clarity on money and goals.
This book is not for someone who wants to make money, or get rich quick- however, I would recommend it to someone who wishes to understand their relationship with money and how to make the best of it.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
