Slow burn thrillers can be good if the ending makes the burn worth it. The ending of With My Little Eye was abrupt and unfinished. This is where an extra chapter or epilogue would bump it up another star. Honor was the star of the show. The main character wasn’t extremely likeable but the writing was well done so that didn’t matter to me. I just needed more at the end!

This book actually surprised me because I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I really did. I was really invested in the characters, particularly the little girl. It was a wild ride and I didn't guess most of the intricacies of the plot.

I had such high hopes for this but the burn was way too slow for me. The ending felt rushed & left room for a second ending or an epilogue that never came. It was frustrating for me.

I have loved Joshilyn Jackson's previous thrillers, but this one was just not up to par with the others, in my opinion. The main character, Maribel, was just unlikeable, so it made it hard to feel sorry for her or empathize with her. It was a good story and exciting with all the twists and turns, so I did enjoy reading it. My favorite characters were Honor and Sheila, and I would have liked to have read what happened to them. The ending was very abrupt, like the author got tired of writing and hurried, just to get finished.

My Little Eye by Joshilyn Jackson is a gripping thriller that follows Meribel Mills, an actress who moves to Atlanta with her daughter to escape a stalker. However, she soon realizes that he may have followed her. The story is full of twists and turns, and Jackson does a great job of building suspense. The characters are well-developed, and the reader is immediately drawn into Meribel's world. The book also deals with some important issues, such as the challenges of raising a child with autism and the dangers of stalking. Overall, My Little Eye is a well-written and suspenseful thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.

This is a slow-burn thriller that unfolds gradually, taking its time to deliver twists and create suspense. I nearly gave up on it, but I’m glad I persevered because the final section was thrilling and included a twist that completely caught me off guard.

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for the complimentary ARC. All opinions are my own.

So many twists and turns....I thought I had it all figured out and I was so wrong! Sometimes it is so fun to have multiple arcs and possible suspects and sometimes it terrifies you. This novel does both! I recommend it.

This book was slow from the beginning. Usually Joshilyn Jackson's books hook from from the start but this one did not capture my attention. Therefore the ended was very lackluster. This was not my favorite by this author

I wound up, borrowing the audio of this book from the library and it was a quick listen in part because I love Jocelyn Jackson’s narration honestly, this book was all over the place. I wanted to like it more but at the end of the soccer was a quick reveal and anticlimactic. The other drama was more of a buildup, but still left me unfulfilled I believe Miss Jackson would be better, served to her roots and lead the thriller genre to others.

With My Little Eye was full of many great things, but seemed to have just as many quirks at the same time! It definitely kept my attention throughout, however, I felt like the ending was abrupt and lacking. We spent the whole story getting a very detailed description of many things, and then the ending just happened without much story!

I have read a couple of books written by Joshilyn Jackson so far, and seem to have about the same ratings/feelings about them! She has an uncanny ability to take the book in the exact opposite direction that you thought it was going to go, which is spectacular! I feel like she has a really great concept surrounding character and plot development, which really help her books come to life! Especially with this book, it really felt like Jackson put a great deal of research into her character’s, especially that of Honor and the fact that she was on the autism spectrum.

Overall, this book was full of suspense, loads of interesting facts, and twists and turns that you will never see coming! I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed for picking up this title!

I would like to thank Joshilyn Jackson, William Morrow, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy of With My Little Eye, which allowed me to contribute this honest and unbiased review.

I tried so hard to get in to this but I honestly just had no clue what was going on and I couldn’t make myself care enough to finish

This is one of those slow burn thrillers with plenty of build up. It takes a while before the twists start to come and the suspense starts to build. I almost stopped reading but am glad I didn’t because the last part of the book was exciting and one of twists I totally did not see coming.

For actress Meribel Mills, disturbing fan mail is part of the price of fame. So when she starts getting creepy letters written in fruit-scented marker she is mostly unphased and diligently files them along with her other messages from unhinged fans. After all, she’s a single mom approaching forty, not the kind of hot young celeb who sparks dangerous obsessions. But there’s something different about Marker Man…

💭 Meribel is running from Marker Man with her 13 year old daughter Honor and moves to Atlanta. A fan stalker thriller that keeps you guessing about who Marker Man really is. This story is filled with characters that will keep you guessing who the culprit could be. She’s left an ex husband, becomes involved with her new neighbor Cooper, and then there is her ex bodyguard Cam.

The story has a ton packed into it, but one character stood out to me. I loved Honor’s character, a 13 year old girl with autism. Loved her perspective on events in the story, how her struggles were presented and how she worked through them, and overall how her character was written. She is unique and just fit perfectly into the story.

This one didn’t do it for me. The stalker plot line was unrealistic and I found myself not wanting to read. I couldn’t get invested in the characters.

ARRRGHHHHHH! Yeah that!!
I love Joshilyn Jackson books - they're all a touch psycho and set in the south, which I love. This one - totally left me hanging!!! I had too many questions at the end!

Like, where did this nut job stalker come from? What happened after Cooper splatted? Exactly HOW did Cooper Splat? What happened after the stalker was apprehended? What happened with Cal? Come on - you can't take us up that freaking roller coaster and just leave us hanging?? Too much left unsaid :(

Thanks to Netgalley and Joshilyn Jackson for a ARC of With My Little Eye in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved other Joshilyn Jackson books, but this wasn’t a favorite. , an actress being stalked, says she never thought she was "famous enough to get murdered." The whole time it felt as if she was excited to be stalked. She even hopes it’s her ex husband, whom SHE is actually stalking while being stalked.
Not enough character development, and the development there is is annoying.
