Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. Will recommend it to everyone I know!

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for an ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review.
Oh no. Just no. I love this author and this pains me to say: one star is too many. There was at least three different plots and the main one, ya know the one blurb that sums up the book, yeah, I'm not sure it should've even counted. There were WAY too many characters. No growth. Just so bad.

This was a stalker thriller that kept me guessing until the shocking ending. The character I really liked was Honor, who was autistic and it was refreshing that she was portrayed as intelligent and very capable. I felt the book was fast paced and satisfyingly creepy!

Holy $hit! What did I just read? I feel like I sprinted through the final chapters of this book!
Mirabel is a somewhat well-known actress recognized for her role as Didi in a show called “Belinda’s World”. While she is no longer young and in the spotlight, she has garnered the attention of a stalker in LA that she has nicknamed “Marker Man” due to the graphic letters and drawings he sends to her written using scented markers. When Mirabel is offered an acting role in Atlanta, she decides this could be a fresh start for her and her daughter, Honor, away from her stalker. Mirabel leaves behind a full life which includes a comfortable home she’s built for Honor, great friends and neighbors, Honor’s beloved stray cats, and a budding relationship with her new boyfriend, Cam. As Honor is on the spectrum, this move was especially hard for her, but she quickly makes friends with her neighbor, Sheila and a homeless teenager nicknamed Xena. Mirabel also makes a quick friend in her neighbor, Cooper, and just as Atlanta is beginning to feel like it could become a home, the Marker Man makes his appearance. As Mirabel and Honor begin to reevaluate the men in their life, they make some shocking discoveries. But the Marker Man is someone they never saw coming . . .
The story is mainly told from the point of view of Mirabel and Honor, but it includes chapters from most of the character’s points-of-view throughout. I really enjoyed this choice! It gave you a chance to get inside everyone’s mind, even the antagonists of the story. I thought that Honor’s perspective was so well done! I enjoyed her chapters so much and it was a wonderful insight into the mind of someone with autism. The story was a little slow to get started as the character building needed to take place but as I continued to read, I could not put this book down. I was surprised several times and the final chapters were intense and amazing! I would have killed for one more chapter ;) I can’t wait to see what Joshilyn Jackson writes next. I’ll be a reader for life!
Thank you to William Morrow and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, where to begin! I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well developed, quirky and interesting. The story follows actress Meribel Mills and her daughter Honor as they relocated from LA to Atlanta to escape her stalker, The Marker Man. They’ve barely settled into the rented condo when things start to go sideways. Such a crazy, twisted tale! When you think you’ve figured things out, another red herring. Short chapters told from different POV keep the story moving and make this a quick read. Great female characters! This would make a great Netflix movie!

I really like Joshilyn Jackson books as the author is semi-local to me and I can relate to so many of the locations. Meribel and her autistic daughter, Honor, move from L.A. to Atlanta to get away from Meribel's stalker. The book, however, is not so much a story about Meribel and her stalker as it is about relationships: Meribel and Honor, Honor and her friends, Meribel and her neighbor, and Meribel and Marker Man (the stalker). Honor is by far my favorite character in the book. It took me a long while to warm up to Meribel, she seemed to just flit about at the beginning of the book. I did enjoy the book as it developed, however, and I'll rate it a solid 4 stars. Thank you NetGalley and William Morrow Book for a copy of the book in return for an honest review. #WithMyLittleEye #NetGalley

Meribel Mills is a former sitcom star who has decamped from LA to Atlanta to escape a scary stalker. She is trying to make the transition easier for her preteen daughter who is on the autism spectrum and does not do well with change. But, has she brought her problems with her or is she just being paranoid? Who can she really trust?
This was a very unpredictable book which made for a very suspenseful read. I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next.
I did find the ending a bit abrupt and would like to have heard about what happened after the final scene in the book.

Not even sure where to start. What a wild ride! Don’t dial in & try to find THE bad guy….there just may be more than one. Joshlyn Jackson is ramping it up a bit more with each book!! Four solid ⭐️

Book: With My Little Eye

I didn’t understand this book at all nor did I like it. I felt like the book had identity issues. At times it felt like a cute romance novel with a little bit of stalking thrown in. It’s described as a hair raising story which I promise you it is not. There was no suspense at all and I couldn’t even care who Marker Man was. The only aspect I liked in this book was the mother/daughter relationship and I really liked Honor. The chapters with Honor and her friends were really good but goodness they weren’t even the main plot of the book. And since I am being so hard on this book the title doesn’t even match the story. Sure she is being stalked but nothing about this book matched any other part. The Marker Man wasn’t even hiding he was out there in plain sight stalker as he pleased. Just a very strange book.
Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for this sneak peak! Publication date is April 25, 2023.

Reviewed for NetGalley:
I have enjoyed many of Jackson’s books, but this one fell a little flat for me.
I enjoyed Meribel’s relationship with her daughter, but sadly that was the most interesting relationship in the book.
I glossed over the Marker Man chapters and didn’t feel the suspense as I would have expected.

Joshlilyn Jackson can do no wrong, and this is evident in spades in With My Little Eye. Stalkers, suspense, and a woman prepared to protect herself and her loved ones make for a thrilling story. Great pacing and characters.

Thanks to William Morrow and NetGalley for the ARC. Joshilyn is one of my favorites. Her writing is always perfectly toned and unique. This book did not disappoint and was so descriptive and in touch with autism.

Meribel Mills is an aging out actress. She has a daughter “Honot” who has autism she also has a stalker.
In an effort to protect herself and her daughter Meribel uproots and heads back home to Georgia.
She meets new neighbors, keeps tabs on her ex and goes on with life. Things may be settling down but then letters from “marker man” are forwarded. Soon after more letters with the post mark much closer to her location pop up.
How do you keep you and your daughter safe when you don’t know who is stalking you? Who do you trust ?
Honor definitely steals the story. Well developed, funny and a joy to follow.
The book is well worth the read with an ending that few if any will see coming.
Thank you NetGalley and William Morrow for the advanced digital copy of theirs e-book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Actress Meribel Mills has been receiving creepy letters from a stalker. When they start to escalate and she doesn’t feel safe, she moves herself and her daughter across the country. Soon the letters start up again, and Meribel must take a look at all the people in her life while trying to figure out who’s been watching her and how to protect her daughter.
I struggled at first getting into this book because acting and that type of lifestyle is so unfamiliar to me. The characters are complex and likeable, and I quickly got more into the story. The plot had me changing my mind several times about who I thought the stalker was, and I was wrong! I like that it was different than a lot of the books I read. Overall I really enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars!!

I was beyond excited to be approved for this book by NetGalley as Joshilyn Jackson is one of my favorite authors and I am very happy to report that this book did not disappoint. In fact, this may be her best book in awhile. While I greatly enjoyed Jackson's past two books there was just something missing for me but that was not the case with this one. I was immediately drawn into the world of Meribel and Honor and cared for them. I physically felt anxious while reading parts of the book as Meribel's stalker pursued her.
Joshilyn Jackson does her best work when she combines mystery with family dynamics and once again she hits it out of the park with With My Little Eye.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
I have read every one of Jackson’s books and here she comes again with a page turner!
Meribel, an actress with a young child moves across the country to escape a stalker, She has received numerous letters as an actress but none like this with creepy letters made with fruit scented markers, and disturbing pictures. So—— why does she feel like she is being watched? Has her stalker found her?
Somehow, someway she must keep her daughter and herself safe!

Seeing great reviews of this book I was excited to get an advanced copy thanks to #netgalley and the publishers. Meribel Mills is an actress that is forced to move across the country because of a stalker. She breaks up with her boyfriend and moves her daughter to Atlanta, where she hopes she can live a normal life. But when she starts feeling someone watching her and the crazed letters start appearing at her door again she knows she hasn’t escaped.
This book had the perfect blend of action and drama that kept me reading page after page. I love the character of her daughter, who the author did an amazing job of portraying what someone with autism goes through. There was a twist in the book that was unexpected and made the story that much better.
Thank you to the publishers and to Netgalley for allowing me to read this advanced copy.

I really liked this one but I was left feeling like it wasn't complete. It needs an epilogue at the least to wrap the subplots up. I loved Meribel and her daughter, Honor. They were highly likeable and I would love to see Honor having her own story in the future. She was truly the star of this. The story was so engrossing and I devoured it, losing many hours of sleep but it was well worth it. That being said, I give this a solid Four Stars even with the abrupt ending.
Thank you Netgalley and William Morrow for this ARC.

Thank you for the opportunity to preview With My Little Eye.
Jocelyn Jackson is a writer that captures a woman’s POV
Meribel is a B actress from TV shows. She has an autistic daughter and oh yea a stalker that is following her across the United States.
Meribel moves to her childhood state, Georgia, where she hopes to start again but soon the Stalker she and her daughter have named Marker Man finds them.
But there are people in Meribels life that have a sketchy background and any of them could be Marker Man. This includes and ex hubby, new beau, and an over friendly neighbor.
Meribel can’t find safety but hopes she will when she moves back home. But…soon she knows HE has found her again and this time he sounds like he will do more than stalk.
Good book. Could have a sequel
3.5 stats

This was a strange book to read. I enjoyed bits of it but also got bored at other points. I liked the daughter’s character the most but not so much the mom. There is a stalker theme and it wasn’t scary to me. I hoped for more from Jackson!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Three stars.
