Loved it!!

Accidentally Famous is book 2 in Hideaway Harbor series following Accidentally Perfect.
We met Cassidy in the previous book but this book can perfectly be read as a standalone novel.

A feel good story with a cute story and interesting characters. This was another happy read. Looking forward to more books by Ms. Clarke.

Fun to be back in Blink, ME. Cassidy is a carpenter who's living a quiet life when her instagram is accidentally tagged by a Hollywood star, Jack Winston. This leads to his fans cyber stalking her and the paparazzi to come to Blink to find out who this woman is in Jack's life. Jack's about to start filming a movie and his manager thinks it's a good idea for him to have a pretend girlfriend. She's ready to line up another actress for the part but when the media gets wind of Cassidy, she decides that's the angle to pursue. Jack and entourage head to Blink where he and Cassidy make a deal to have a fake relationship. Obviously, things don't stay fake and that's where the story begins. Enjoyable read.

4 1/2

When a mis-tagging on social media causes Cassidy James’ normally quiet life to suddenly blowup, Hollywood hero Jack Winston becomes a real one (almost) when he rides in to save the day in Marissa Clarke’s absolutely charming Accidentally Famous.

Accidentally Famous follows Marissa Clarke’s equally lovely Absolutely Perfect that introduced us to the characters of small town Blink, Maine. Cassidy is the Miss Fix-It, taking on the restoration of an old Victorian. She has a sweet personality and is equaled in sweetness by swoony Jack, who says and does all the right things, proving once again that Nice Guys should always finish first.

I loved the way the author chose to throw Cassidy’s teenage crush into the mix at the beginning as a red herring in case you forgot to read the blurb and knew who she ended up with. Of course, you can change those “yous” to “I.” I forgot to read the blurb before starting in and was happy to find that a new man was on the scene.

The only thing that stopped me from giving this a complete five butterflies is that the “break up” felt too contrived, although as well as Cassidy and Jack meshed perhaps nothing else would do.

Clarke’s writing is on point with gentle humor, keen observations, and heartfelt emotion.

Accidentally Famous will put a smile on your face and wrap you up in a heirloom quilted embrace.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this small town fake relationship romance. It is a romantic comedy at its best, giving me a few giggles here and there. Along with some swoon worthy moments. I liked that Jack was never afraid of his feelings and really went after what he wanted. I do wish it had gone a little deeper into his past about why he needed to hire Marion to get him back on track. I feel like that was a missed conversation between him and Cassidy. I liked the way it all played out in the end and recommend to all those who love the fake dating trope.

Thank you NetGalley, Marissa Clarke and Entangled Publishing, LLC for the ARC of Accidentally Famous. This is my personal review. As I was reading, I wanted to know everyone in the story. The chemistry between Cassidy and Jack jumps off the pages with a slow sizzle and this made me love this book so much. Thank you Marissa Clarke for giving me the town of Blink Maine. This is the second book in the series Hideaway Harbor

When I first picked up this book, I didn't have strong feelings about it either way. But then I started reading it, and fell in love with its' quirky characters. I ended up having to get the first book as well, because I wanted more of them when the book was done. I don't usually care for insta-love but Jack and Cassidy just happened to work well together. This was a light hearted, cute read that I could easily recommend to my grandma, or to my sister. I'll be reading the rest of this series.

THIS has been my favorite book written by Marissa Clarke, so far. Book one, Accidentally Perfect, was a great read too. But this book. I absolutely loved Jack and Cassidy, and their story. I'm invested in the town of Blink. I so hope Roger gets his own book. And Lillian, and Dee, and Flex, and Tristan. OMGosh, "this world" could grow huge. Who knows who I'm forgetting. Marissa made me laugh, my heart drop, smile, tear up, swoon. All the emotions. An excellent writer with great storylines and wonderful characters. I can't wait for more.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.

This was a super swoony, small town, fake relationship between the small town girl and a big time celebrity.

Cassidy is accidentally tagged in Instagram by a celebrity's team and suddenly her small YouTube fix it channel blows up and rumors of an affair happening between her and Jack... Has Jack going to the tiny town of Blink, Maine to try and fix it.

I absolutely adored Jack and Cassidy as individuals and as a couple. Cassidy is a wonder woman with restoration who doesn't always get the praise that she should (She has to shut down multiple sexist people). Jack is pretty down to earth for a celebrity. He really knows how to get what he wants but in a nice way.

The town of Blink is somewhere that I could see myself wanting to live. I love that the whole town will show up for a themed party at the drop of a hat. This is a book too but can be right as a standalone. I need to go back and read book one for sure because I adore the town.

“Accidentally Famous” by Marissa Clarke
LOVED this Story!!!
This story is a little bit romantic-comedy with some angst and a whole lot of sweet clean love. A perfect romance story that kept me reading late into the night. Blink, Maine a town where I would love to live. This is book 2 in the Hideaway Harbor series both books are stand-alone reads. “Accidentally Perfect” book 1 in this series is going on my TBR-A (To Be Read Again) List (It has been a year). Happy Reading ! !
NOTE: This review expresses my honest opinion.

Thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I didn't realize that this book was part of a series, so the first bit of good news is that it can totally be read as a standalone! It's a really cute read, very easy to get into. Fake-dating is an easy trope for me to fall into and I love the idea of small town settings. I do however wish that the ending wasn't as rushed - I think a few people have mentioned this as well... I just felt like something was missing there. But other than that... A great read, perfect for the morning commute, the beach or when you're just chilling!

Thank you NetGalley, Marissa Clarke and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of Accidentally Famous. This is my personal review.
This book was so good! A little typo was all it took for Cassidy and Jack to be on a path to romance. They were from two completely different worlds and yet it is all heading in the right direction for the two of them.
This is one of those books that you have to read to the end to see how everything happens and why.
I love the town it is set in and to be back in Maine felt good. Small town books are so much fun for me to read.

Jack is having some "Media issues". So his team dreams up a scam to help him get back on top. When the wrong person is tagged on Social media, he has to go to nowhere Maine to play like he and this girl are in a real relationship. For two weeks they have to play like they are a real couple. This will boost Cassidy's reno business, but will this wreck her heart instead of her business?

Can't get enough of the celebrity meets average Joe trope? When a small-town home restoration guru is accidentally tagged online by an action hero she is forced into the spotlight. The paparazzi flood the small coastal Maine town where she's refinishing a gorgeous Victorian - so to do damage control, our gorgeous Hollywood heartthrob heads to town with his PR team in tow.

The premise is dazzling, but there are so many plots that follow this trope. I wanted more pop and sizzle.

📱Social media brings a real hero to town!🏘

Author Marissa Clarke introduced the small town of Blink, Maine in a previous novel and I'm happy I returned there for this romance between a movie star and local carpenter Cassidy James. The romancing is sweet and the obstacles seem to doom them as a real couple from the start. Clarke has come up with a fun and flirty story, even included some really corny pick-up lines as evidence that Mr. Mega Star does not take himself or his fame too seriously.

Their lifestyles could barely be more different, but once Jack Winston gets a gander at Cassidy's home renovation videos, he knows he has to meet her IRL and try to make up for the headaches his misdirected tweet have brought to her life. Paparazzi, security details, a shark of a business manager and a sweet, readily intimidated assistant, come thundering into Blink and Cassidy has to find a balance between remaining true to herself and facing the publicity generated by her teaming up with Jack Winston.

I thought the length was just right, the plot fun, the characters well-developed and the writing style easy. Just right for a feel-good romance.

Thanks to Entangled:Amara and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this new novel.

I think the plot was great but the characters left me wanting, or should I say I wish they were more flawed and three dimensional. Jack was dreamy but kind of too good to be true and Cassie was boring. I had a hard time believing in them as a couple because I didn't get to know them.

Also, Jack said on at least two occasions that "he loved seeing her smile" and "he loved seeing her animated" and you would think he was talking about Cassie but no, he was talking about his assistant, Dee. I didn't get this at all. Jack was not her father, yet he acted like one, and I found that a little creepy.

Jack didn't do one thing wrong, nor did Cassie, and I got bored. I like when the characters are flawed but still likable. The writing was good though :)

Sometimes a mistake is a good thing!

When Jack’s assistant makes a typo when posting on social media, Cassidy’s life is suddenly front and center. When she finds out that the very famous, attractive actor Jack Winston tagged her she’s both intrigued and confused.

At the same time, Cassidy’s high school crush is back in town but doesn’t remember her. Turns out he’s not as good a person as she built him up to be in her imagination. She’s renovating his Dad’s house but all Tristan cares about is making it modern and selling.

I loved that Cassidy was a contractor, few women are. It was fun to return to Blink, Maine and meet Lillian and Caleb again. Blink is a sweet small town that I would like to visit, if it was real. Jack’s jokes are so bad they’re funny and his manager is stereotypical Hollywood.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Cute, maybe a little predictable and resolution felt a bit rushed.
Mistaken identity leads to fake romance between celebrity and small town girl. Throw an unrequited high school crush in there and mix.
Definitely cute. Jack and Cassidy are both likeable as main characters. Lots of fun supporting characters. Resolution at the end felt a bit rushed but overall HEA so I'll take it.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the e-ARC. Will definitely look for more by the author.

I read the first book from the Hideaway Harbor series, Accidentally Perfect, and truly enjoyed it. So naturally I had to request the second book, Accidentally Famous. Unfortunately, the story did not grab me in the same way. I found the "famous person falls in love with a small town person" to be a bit predictable. However, I will continue to look out for the author's future offerings.

2.5 stars. Typical movie star falls for small town girl book. I enjoyed the banter between the main characters but the last section of the book felt rushed. The major conflict was disappointing predictable and avoidable. It’s apparently part of a series but definitely stands alone fine

Celebrity/small town isn’t usually my jam, and maybe that trope just isn’t for me in general. Overall Accidentally Famous was cute, but just didn’t suck me in like I had hoped
