I love a good fake dating trope, but this one wasn't my favorite. I did like the storyline of a celebrity meeting a small-town girl and ending up falling in love, but I didn't find myself really loving the main characters all that much.

This book is terrific. Cassidy is a small contractor in a tiny town in Maine. She’s currently renovating a large old house for the father of her old teenage school crush and is sharing her love for restoration work with a tiny audience on social media. Jack is a major movie star in L.A. Jack’s personal assistant mistakenly posts something with Cassidy’s social media address instead of his sister’s address. Fans and the paparazzi track Cassidy down, assuming that the post indicates that Jack and Cassidy are having a relationship. To get on top of the ensuing publicity storm, Jack goes to Maine to meet Cassidy in person. They agree to fake a brief, low-key relationship for publicity reasons, and begin to get to know each other. I enjoyed their dual points of view as the attraction between them grows. The plot has multiple interesting people in it, including Jack’s bossy business manager, Cassidy’s friends and the owner of the house where Cassidy is working. Cassidy and Jack are very genuine and likeable characters. I loved this story and their satisfying romantic HEA. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this book a lot. I really want to visit Blink, Maine. It seems like a fun place with great people. I read the previous book based in this town & enjoyed seeing where everyone was & how the town was doing. Cassidy & Jack are a great opposites attract couple & I highly recommend reading this book to see how their story unfolds.

There is so much to like about this book I don't know where to start. It is a continuation of a series, but it is written to be a standalone. Blink, Maine is the true epitome of a classic American small town. As I was reading, I felt that I too was a part of the community. I love all the small-town touches that the author includes in the novel. Blink would be a wonderful place to visit/live in my opinion. Jack Winston is a famous movie star, and his assistant accidentally tags Cassidy James instead of Jack's sister in a social media post. Media journalists quickly descend on Cassidy and Blink. Soon Jack Winston follows in hope of saving innocent Cassidy from the onslaught of the media. Jack begins to like Cassidy and respects her work ethic and love for others. He also appreciates the community spirit that Blink shows on a daily basis. Jack's manager comes up with a plan to help Cassidy and Jack manage the media but like many good plans, it goes astray.

This novel contains fake dating trope and small-town romance. I liked the way the main characters interest in one another developed. I also liked Cassidy's love for her town and her people. This novel is not very spicy so if you are looking for spice this isn't the book for you. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys small town romance, chick lit, women's fiction and romance books without a ton of spice.

Absolutely loved it! Had my all time fave trope: fake dating andddd celeb/non celeb tropes so double wins! Ahh swooning over Jack! Really liked too how different Cassidy was from the usual romcom heroine, breath of fresh air! Wish we had more of them as a couple as always my pet peeve of books.

When Jack's PA's note to his sister goes to Cassidy instead and then goes viral- well, his PR team decides the two of them should become a fake couple for two weeks. Cassidy does home renovation in her small town and posts them on the web, she's just out of a relationship of sorts with the man she thought was the man of her dreams and she's up for a bit of fun. Jack, an action hero in the movies, can use a break and Cassidy is fun. You know what's going to happen. don't you? This is sweet turn on the trope with two likable characters. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Will make you smile.

I was really excited to read this ARC, I am such a sucker for a celebrity/normal person trope but unfortunately this one only ended up being okay for me.

I really loved the small town vibes of the book, I loved how much Cassidy loved her small town. She really had no interest in a world outside of ehat She had. Jack was also a dream man but I just felt as if he lacked depth overall. We hear a lot about his Pat but never dive into any of it and the wnd conflict felt forced and resolved too quickly,

Overall, this was a fun and easy read but it’s not very memorable and I can’t see myself reaching for it again or recommending much. If you love the celebrity trope give it a go, but there are definitely way better options that I’d personally reach for ahead of this.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for sending me a copy of this book to read and review! I thought this was a super sweet small town romance. Blink was such a cute town and I loved coming back there. Cassidy and Jack were so sweet and I thought the fake dating trope worked super well for them. There were some really cute moments and they definitely brought a smile to my face. I would have loved to see more of their relationship after the conflict as I thought the ending came pretty quick. Other than that this book was fun and I enjoyed the characters for sure.

The author has written a wonderful, fairytale romance. Jack represents the fairytale prince, Cassidy is the Cinderella orphan, the PR rep is the evil stepmother, and George and the people of Blink are all the fairy godmothers working to make sure that their dreams come true. This plot has been done before, but the way that the author has presented it is in a fun and delightful way that makes it a wonderful page turner. Jack and Cassidy are total opposites but in the end, they both want the same thing which is to be loved for who they are. The people of Blink are wonderful characters who are fun and exciting. This story will be one that will make your heart smile and resonate with you for a long time to come. The people of Blink work really hard to ensure that Cassidy and Jack get the fairytale happiness that they deserve. It is a wonderful and happy story.

Cassidy hopeless romantic had crush for years and always day dreams about Tristan. Reality not so good, Tristan didnt even recognize her. Cassidy shock that they interaction so different from her imagination. She find that Tristan was a snob. They had zero chemistry.

In this latest addition to the series, we are taken back to Blink, Maine, a tiny town where everyone knows you and where they protect their own.
Cassidy James is one of its residents. For most of her life, this tomboy, construction company owner, has had a crush on Tristan McGuffy . Sadly, he doesn’t even seem to see her.
Meanwhile, hot ticket actor Jack Winston, is in LA, feeling like he’s missing something.
When his PA inadvertently sends a message to Cassidy instead of his sister, the media gets hold of it and life as either knew is no longer the same.
Neither expected feelings would develop when Jack goes to Blink to apologize to the gal that has enchanted him while watching her youtube videos of DYI projects, and his manager decides that they should have a “made up” 2 week fling with an ending.
What happens after the “planned fling”? Even when feelings are involved, their lives are at opposite ends of the continent. One is rich and famous, the other a small town gal. Will they get their HEA or will they end up heartbroken and go their separate ways?
This was a sweet, touching story about finding love when one least expect it . One in which dreams change for the better and where the discovery of “their person” opens their eyes and hearts to a new life.

I loved this book! Jack Winston is a movie star, and is burned out. When his assistant accidentally tags the wrong person on social media, a small town YouTuber, the Paparazzi thinks it his is his new girlfriend. Cassidy James lives in Blink, Maine population 300. Her home renovation YouTube channel had five viewers, her fellow home renovators. When her channel start growing exponentially, and the paparazzi show up, she realizes something is amiss. Jack wants to make things right, when his shark of an agent decides that starting a fake relationship with Cassidy could be good for both of their careers. All of the characters are so much fun, and I love a well written fake romance trope. While this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone (though I suggest you read the first book, it was good as well). I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

I enjoyed this return to Blink, Maine. I do wish the subtitle connected more with Blink. Instead, it was a pleasant surprise to return there.

Regardless, it was great to read Cassidy's love story, and Jack Winston seemed like a wonderfully suitable Prince Charming for her.

Even though this is part of a series, it could easily be read as a standalone.

Thank you to Marissa Clarke, Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

A mistaken tag on an Instagram story leads to a “fail proof” plan to trick the public, with antics along the way that lead to a famous actor and lovely small town girl-next-door questioning whether their “fake romance” could be the real thing!
This book is a predictable, romantic, feel good, fun story for when you need just that!
There are no twists or subplots, just fun relatable engaging characters who you can’t help but cheer for.
Since there is no real suspense or plots to “wrap up” the story could have been shorter, but Author Marissa Clarke’s writing is so enjoyable that I’m glad it wasn’t.
I really enjoy the Author’s articulate, interesting writing style and would read her books for that reason alone.
Thankyou to Author Marissa Clarke, Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read this book!

Five Stars is not enough! Marissa Clarke is now one of my Favorite Authors!!! I was so pleased to see so many returning characters from the first book and many new additions that I hope to hear more about! The characters feel like family and the town of Blink is a place I would love to live in!
The book is magical and absolutely amazing! I can't wait for more!!! A big thanks to Entangled Publishing and #NetGalley for this wonderful ARC.

This was a new to me author.

We follow Jack, a famous super hero type actor. Working with this team - manager, assistant and body guard - in LA. His assistant posting on social media one day and accidentally tags Cassidy in the post. The tabloids go wild.

Cassidy is a home remodeler from a small town in Maine. All the attention she is getting is unnerving. Jack goes to Maine to apologize and romantic blooms.

I didn’t feel invested in this one. There wasn’t much steam and they didn’t really have any struggles to overcome. I’m from Maine so the setting worked for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for the free copy of this book for my honest review. This is completely my opinion.
