This is a nice field guide to bugs of all kinds. They are arranged by class and have a little information for each and then details like where they are found and what they eat. There are so many kinds of bugs that of course it is incomplete but there are a lot and there’s good variety. I do wish it showed various stages of them, like what a monarch caterpillar looks like as opposed to the butterfly, and that there was some sort of scale representation so kids could visualize the size (it lists the size range). It’s very basic but a good beginner book. The author is the founder of Black in Nature, which sounds like a great organization.

I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.
