I enjoyed this story! Donna Grant knows how to create stories that lure you in slowly, tantalize you with the vivid details and well-developed characters, and then gives you an ending that makes you desire more…and she has done no different with this book.
The MCs are Rob Mackenzie and Elin. Elin is a bit of a witch. Yes, the people that used to be hunted and burned on a stake. Elin is recovering from drastic life changes and she finds the perfect isolated, seemingly abandoned cottage - a place she can be safe and comfortable while healing. Rob decides it’s time to find out who is squatting on his family’s land … once these two meet it’s safe to say they will never be the same.
Rob is immediately enamored and attracted to Elin and it doesn’t take too long before the chemistry between them explodes. As Rob attempts to protect his clan he finds out the mysterious illness attacking the clan is the result of a vengeful witch. It couldn’t be Elin, right?
.
I recommend this story to all who enjoy a little magic and mystery with their romance.

Thank you for the opportunity to read/review this book.
A quick easy, paranormal romance and a dash of danger. I would have loved more details but I expect they will come with future books in this series.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me through NetGalley. This book was just absolutely wonderful. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just couldn’t put it down. I just lost myself within this amazing story. I most definitely will read more by this author.
This is the first of the Kindred book that I have read. Witches, nymphs, warlocks, jealousy, revenge and true love. Honestly, I prefer the author's cowboys. But still enjoyed the story and characters.
I read an ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I was new to this world and so this book probably wasn't the best place to start. I was able to keep up for the most part, but felt like I was missing something.
Overall I found this world interesting enough that I would return, but maybe from the beginning next time.
I loved this book. It was one of the best for me. It was very well written and I connected well with the characters. I love a good fantasy romance book and this did it for me. I will definitely recommend this one to friends
This was a very middle-of-the-road book for me. But I do know people I can recommend this book to that will love and enjoy it.
I love a good fantasy novel. Donna Grant did a wonderful job in building a world of a witch in the run after a war. Elin, the witch in hiding, has lived in solitude for months and months until Rob finds her on his quest to find a healer. Elin reluctantly helps, exposing her witchcraft to the angry witch who curse Rob’s family and clan.
I wish the book was longer. This was more like a novella. Maybe the rest of the series will be longer after this introductory book, or maybe this is simply a short series. Either way- I want more. I am already intrigued with what I foresee will be the second story.
Loved Elon and Robs story. Elon is a witch, but she’s decided not to use magic. Rob is out riding when he happens upon her. Is it lover or magic?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
Rage is a welcome return to the Author's historical romance books with magic to the fore

This is another entertaining historical romance full of magical creatures , where our heroine must sacrifice herself to save others .
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Elin is running from the aftereffects of the demise of the Coven. As a witch she’s trying not to use her powers. Elin has found a place that she would like to stay for a while. Rob Mckenzie is part of his brother’s clan. He’s out checking out their territory when he comes across a woman at an abandon cottage. Rob is immediately attracted to the woman. When an illness comes to the clan, Rob will ask for help from the Elin They’ll have to figure out what is happening at the castle when a Rage hits.
Donna Grant’s first book in her Kindred: Fated Mates series is Rage. This story picks up a few years after the demise of the Coven when a witch is trying to stay alive by not using her magic. She finds a place that she could stay forever. She knows if she uses her magic, it could give her away. When a member of a local clan finds her, she thinks that it may be time to reluctantly move on. She can’t refuse a plea to help and soon a romance and love blossom between the couple. Rage is also about a man that doesn’t know anything about witches or the paranormal world. All he wants to a way to help his clan when they become sick. When he falls in love with the woman who saves his clan, and an arranged marriage is asked of him a decision is firmly made. Donna Grant’s first book in her Kindred: The Fated series Rage takes a witch and normal and thrusts them into danger, intrigue with attraction thrown in along the way. They’ll take a journey of trust, love and faith that things will work as they are intended. Donna Grant continues her Kindred series with this story of taking a risk and just maybe finding the person meant for you. She also throws in a mystery of what is to come while bringing back some much-loved characters to help by giving a warning of what just maybe to come. Rage is a must read for all of Ms. Grant’s fans and if you’re looking for action, adventure, love and some magic then this book is for you.
Elin has been in hiding for years. The guilt of her past choices and the blood on her hands have forced her to live in seclusion. She prefers it that way, it keeps everyone safe. The world is not welcoming to those with magic and those who practice the bad kind, just makes things worse for those who don't.
Rob Mackenzie knows that the illness ailing his clan is due to a curse and he's out to find a cure when he stumbles upon a lone woman living in an abandoned cabin deep in the woods. There's something special about her and he is sure that she is the answer to all his problems.
Now he just has to convince her that she has his heart and convince his brothers that not all those with magic are evil.

Rage is another great read from Donna Grant. It has all the passion, suspense and wonderfully written action scenes I've come to love in her books.
We're back to a historical setting and Elin are Rob are great characters. Their story is full of secrets, turmoil and danger and I enjoyed every minute of it. They're a great addition to the already beloved characters DG has created.
Highly recommend!
This was a great read! Although I shouldn’t be surprised, anything I read from this fantastic author is always amazing. I loved the the introduction of paranormal characters I haven’t read before. I enjoyed the uncomplicated energy they had and how the book just flowed seamlessly. I am definitely interested in this series and looking for ward to the next book.
I love Donna Grant's writing and the worlds she builds !
I really liked Elin ,she has gone through some awful things in her past and she has a hard time trusting anyone for good reason but Rob is able to slip past her defenses and show her that not everyone will turn on her ! i loved how their relationship unfolds ,they really get to know each other first as friends that turns into something so sweet and loving and i was so here for it !
Omg Rob sounds freaking hot ! i loved him so much ,he totally knows that something bad happened in Elin's past but he was willing to go slow with her and show her that he isn't like the others ! he never once judged her for being a witch and i was so happy that they were able to find each other !
I really liked this book and i can't wait to read the next book in this series !
Elin is in hiding trying not to use her magic. She knows firsthand how people will turn against you. Rob from the Mackenzie clan needs help with an unexplainable illness. Elin will have to reveal herself can she save the man she has come to love. First in a new romance brings in many versions of witches including Gira, tree nymph and the Varroki. This is a revealing start to a new world where you will wait for new characters with baited breath.
Thank you NetGalley and (publisher) for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Of course, whenever a Donna Grant cover comes up on Netgalley, I have to request it. Rage is the first of a new series. And true to Donna: it is a new treat! This story is set in a different world than her Dark Kings and Reapers, but it still is a magical place. Elin and Rob are wonderful characters and of course I was rooting for them to end up together (and knowing Donna, I knew it would be okay). But true Donna style, the story has twists and turns and has some epic events. Looking forward to another story in this series. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
Perfection…
I loved everything about this first in a new fantasy series by a favourite author. Elin kept herself closed off from everyone. The loss she’d felt, the harsh realities of her life meant it was best she stick to herself. She was who she was though and a healer she would always be. Even if that came, thankfully, with a touch of magic…
Rob was a leader in a clan that depended on him to make the right decisions. To be whom they needed him to be. To sacrifice for them. To put them first. Elin was going to make him question his whole life’s purpose…
From start to finish, this story held me under its spell. Great writing meant I was able to feel the spark of new love and all the feelings (good, bad and otherwise) that went with it. Theirs was not an easy path but one they navigated together to make a full, utterly satisfying story… I can’t wait for more!
*I happily reviewed this story
**Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher

This was kind of a different type of story from this author so I was glad to be offered an ARC. I loved her series with the shifters and vampires but this is a bit different as Elin is a witch. In this time, being a witch is dangerous and she has had to keep moving so that no one catches on.
After finding what Elin believes is an abandoned cottage - really owned by the Mackenzie clan, she settles in and find peace for a change. Until Rob Mackenzie finds her and befriends her.
Instead of taking off and keeping her secret, Elin goes to the clan and helps them with a curse. Along the way, Rob and Elin have fallen for each other and have to work to keep the clan safe and defeat the witch that cursed them. As well as trying to get Rob out of an arranged marriage!
Great HEA and hope this is a series!
I have read this book twice now, and each time it was fantastic. I love all things witches and this was right up my alley.
The FMC is on the run. She has been for years. After the war on witches and hunters happened, she was betrayed by her very own sister. She never forgave her for that. She finally found a nice place to bunker down and have a real life? Maybe.
One day she saw him. He was beautiful, broody and strong. She hid in fear of her past catching up with her. But to her surprise he wasnt with them. He was the brother of the lands Laird.
After months of meeting and seeing each other, there was no doubt love was in the air. Not to mention she cured his clans mysterious illness no healer could get rid of. She knew it was a curse, and she fixed it. The Laird of the land found it curious and questioned her in front of his brother. The MMC of course was upset at the fact that his brother had the audacity considering she CURED the castle.
But her past caught up with her. There was another witch amongst them. She knew she had to help the clan stop her or it would be catastrophic.
Lets just say you need to read the book to figure out who won that battle...
There is a HEA.
