Sugar and Spice was a quick read and a great reintroduction to Pine Mountain as Kimberly Kincaid is updating her series. I hadn’t read the original version but I loved this.
Pete Mancuso and Lily Callahan are competing in a cookie competition, as someone who loves watching Holiday Baking Championship and Cookie Challenges on the Food Network I was excited to read this.
Pete and Lily have heard (not all great things) of each other given it’s a small town but had never really spoken prior to the competition. They are immediately paired up for the first challenge and start their relationship. They were certainly a case of opposites attract and were perfect for each other.
Thank you @netgalley for the ARC!

what a wonderful little christmas lovestory.
It was so great to read this. Two competitors who will give their very best, but fell in love.
Heartbreaking story about their differnt childhoods.
It would be grat to get the recipes of the book.
Have fun reading!
Lily and Pete are opposites. She’s organised and methodical and he’s a spur of the moment kind of guy. When they both enter the same competition it’s for very different reasons. She wants the money to open her own bakery, he wants the prestige that comes with the win to get him his dream job. They clash when they meet, but neither of them can deny the attraction between them. Sparks fly in and out of the kitchen and they both realise that there is more to the other than they originally thought. I loved the hallmark Christmas movie feel to this story. This quick read was definitely full of sugar and spice and all things nice. A thoroughly enjoyable quick Christmas read.
