She finds something wanting in her life. And when she met him, she knew he was the answer to what she is missing.. But they are from different worlds and so their problems seem insurmountable. But when things make sense when you are together, everything else seems insignificant. A short, steamy love story to read for an excellent HEA.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.

Another wonderful read by Ms. Murdoch. We go along an adventure with young Katarina. A young lady who has her head in the clouds and detests all the family get togethers and holiday traditions. She wishes for a husband someday but one that doesn’t include all the fanfare that goes along with the upper class. Katarina is plainly spoken and puts her heart out for all to see. Sadly it’s because of her tender heart that it gets broken easily. So it’s up to Isaac to make things right.

This is the second novella I read in this series and I loved it! The last one (9 ladies dancing) didn’t really appeal to me, but this was such a joy to read and I would highly recommend this little novella.

Katarina doesn’t care about the gentry life and would love to have a simple farm life. She meets Isaac who is a carriage driver for a childhood friend of her.
Sparks fly immediately and she wants nothing more than to be with him, but he isn’t what he seems to be..

Thank you to Netgalley and Dragonblade publishing for providing an ARC in exchange for a review.

She Was an Unexpected Surprise

Katarina was instantly attracted to Isaac, he was Luke’s coachman. She was sick of all the parties and family gathering and would be happy to settle down with a nice man who she loved to distraction and a little house to look after. Isaac was everything she desired but her father would not be happy, a servant who her father would think beneath her.

Things are not always what they seem and as Christmas approaches Kat and Isaac give into each other but will it be smooth sailing once her family find out!

Another beautiful novella from Emily to keep you in the Christmas spirit, I’m loving this series and can’t recommend it enough!

I voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s 1815 & nearing Christmas but Katarina Fitzroy is tired, tired of the Fitzroy Christmas traditions, tired of always doing things the same way, never going anywhere, never meeting anyone. It’s so dull.
Until a family friend Luke Kingsley arrives with a rather dashing coachman driving his horses. Isaac Emmett is everything Katarina is supposed to avoid. A servant, no gentleman, with no name, fortune, or title to boast. But that doesn’t matter, drawn to him in the cowsheds, Katarina finds herself lost in his eyes and desperate for his kisses but Isaac is not all what he seems.
The fifth book in this delightful series, which is counting down to Christmas. It could be read on its own but it takes place within the same timeframe as the previous book, the author very cleverly only gives hints of what happens in that book. Another quick charming read, I really liked both Isaac & Kit , they both fell hard & fast for each other but Isaac had secrets & whilst he didn't tell any lies he didn't tell the whole truth. I did love that Kit was prepared to give everything up for Isaac. A well written novella, which I read in a sitting I'm loving the weekly Fitzroy romances
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Family, Conflict, Surprises:
Katarina is having a boring Christmas holiday. She just can't seem to find anything to be interested in. It's always the same old thing. until a dashing Isaac drives the team of horses at a frantic pace almost knocking her down.
What happens between these two people time will tell along with the eight milking maids who are aware of what happens in the cow barn.
Lots of humor, desirous passion, a challenge, and eye-popping confessions.
A very enjoyable part of the series.
Adult Advisory:
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy for my honest opinion.

𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗔 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 is book 5 of Emily EK Murdoch’s 𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 series and was a quick and easy, read in one sitting regency romance.

Katerina and Isaac were on fire! I enjoyed watching her come to terms with her feelings and position in society and loved how hard she fell for Isaac and didn’t let society’s dictates condition her feelings. He was a bit of a grump, albeit a sexy one and deserved the love of a good woman.

I enjoyed this installment and am looking forward to reading more in this series. TBR and Enjoy!

Sheltered Kat falls inappropriately for the coachman of a family friend who comes to visit for Christmas. However the coachman, Isaac, has secrets of his own. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.
