I absolutely adored this cover, and it was exactly what I needed to get into the Christmas spirit. The highlight for me was the charming banter and the swoon-worthy hero. A truly good man can anticipate what a woman likes and desires, and remembers the little details. This quality in the hero is what truly won me over in this novella. Despite its brevity, it's filled with just enough heartwarming moments to make you smile and feel glad you took the time to read it.
While this was only 89 pages. I wouldn't recommend this. It was a book I definitely had to force myself through. While I love a cheesy love story this wasn't it for me.
I absolutely loved this novel.
Such a great story with defined characters and a great plot.
What drew me in the most was how fleshed out the characters were
The writing style was fluid and relateable.
The cover was fascinating as well.
A reviting read overall
Definitely recommend adding this to your TBR!
This is a good book. The two main characters are Dixie and Max. There is an instant attraction. They meet at the winery where Dixie works. They keep meeting up in town. They each have trust issues but together they work them out fall in love.
I judged a book by its cover…shhh we all do it sometimes! It looked so cute and seemed promising but I didn’t know it was a novella before I started so that’s my fault. Even for a novella this book seems super rushed. It takes place over like 2/3 days and was missing important details that could have helped me relate more to the story or even if it took place over a little bit longer of a time frame but 2/3 days is supper quick to fall in love. The dialogue was weird and jarring, the people seemed super weird, I don’t know it was just off for me.
I loved the idea I just wish there was maybe one more chapter to wrap things up a little more smoothly. Glad I got in a short read to wrap up my 2022 reading goal though.
Unfortunately I was unable to finish this book. Although a novella. It felt long to me and that may be because the chapters were long and I don’t do well with long chapter. I read all the chapters but the last one (no motivation since it’s so long) and I have a feeling that’s where all the action would have been. For this reason I will not be posting about this book on my goodreads or anywhere else.
The book was cute but I don’t really much care for novellas as they are too short. I like longer books. It was a cute Christmas book and it was exactly what I expected for Christmas. It was just too short
This is exactly what I expected after reading the synopsis of the book. It was a cute, albeit predictable, cozy little Christmas novel. Exactly what I wanted it to be! 🎄
Super cute romance novella for a very quick read. It was simple, enjoyable, entertaining, cute. Not much else to say.
Let there be snow is the perfect cozy chrisymas read. Its giving the Holiday and Practical Magic meets in the best way.
I absolutley love the Oregon setting, so different from other xmas books. It really made the book unique in its own magical way.
The cover is goregus, cottage core and christmas at its best!
A story of hope, love and the impossible that truly melted by heart!
I enjoyed this short sweet Christmas read. It was the perfect read to read at a stressful and hectic time of year.
Thank you NetGalley and Charlotte Rains Dixon for accepting my request to read and review Let There Be Snow.
Author: Charlotte Rains Dixon

Genre: General Fiction (Adult) -- Romance
In all fairness romance is not a genre I read more than once a year or so. With that said, I chose this novella more for the adult general fiction and less on the romance. I liked the cover.
The story is set around a winery looking to employ a management position. The couple are textbook romance characters. Both apply, blah blah blah (no spoilers).
There was no profanity.
I'm clueless as to the targeted audience, however, it is an easy read. This took me a little over an hour, a mug of coffee, a rainy morning distracted by wanting a homemade biscuit (not pie or cake -- you will have to read the book).

Let There Be Snow is a Calderwood Grove Christmas novella by Charlotte Rains Dixon. This quick read is a great holiday read with a happy ending.
This book features 2 hurt people who are trying to find their way in a small town and fate brings them together through a series of circumstances. I definitely enjoyed the sweet moments that happened throughout this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thanks to the author and Netgalley for a copy of this novella. I enjoyed this little story and gave it 3 stars. Initially I really disliked the male character and the way he spoke to and thought of women. It was a little over the top and cheesy at times - but it was still a cute story for Christmas.
This is a novella and I was attracted by the blurb. There's potential but I didn't care for the characters and the story fell flat.
Not my cup of tea.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine
This was an enjoyable holiday story with an instant love trope that was kinda corny but all in all it was a feel good story. I enjoyed it.
This book was a cute holiday read. I think with if it was longer it could have been good but it never really got there for me. The middle was good but the beginning and ends felt a bit rushed and too Hallmark-y. Like other reviews have said, Max is the worst and his arc never fully came through. Overall worth it for a quick seasonal book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the copy of this book.

At roughly eighty-nine pages, Let There Be Snow by new to me author Charlotte Rains Dixon is a very short, fast read about two characters who meet, both carrying extensive baggage and keeping secrets. This book didn’t stand out for me in any particular fashion, but I did enjoy the winery setting of Pineview, Oregon.
I thought Max was a very obnoxious character and quite full of himself and I never had time to warm up to Dixie before the story ended. She comes across as bitter, rude and a little obnoxious, herself. The parts of the story I did enjoy in addition to the winery were the parade and Dixie’s desire to have snow at Christmas, instead of rain.
My Final Verdict: If this book had been longer, perhaps there would have been more character development to draw upon, but this story never quite got off the ground for me. Readers looking for short reads with Christmas themes may enjoy it.
Absolutely perfect for the Holliday season. An east quick read to curl up with and take a break from the busy.
I was gifted this to read by NetGalley but all opinions are my own.
This is a cute little Christmas story. A quick read. I really struggled to like Max and I know that’s often a good storyline to hate the hero but his misogynistic comments and calling women ‘dear’ and ‘lass’ made me actually cringe. However I liked Dixie enough to keep reading.
Was it predictable? Yes. But what else do you want to read at Christmas but a predictable, light romance? Definitely add this to your list if you want a quick, cute read but you will need to be able to overlook Max’s misogynistic traits. #lettherebesnow #netgalley
