This book would be a great introduction to crochet! The instructions provided are super clear, and the photos of basic crochet steps and stitches are plentiful and large enough to be very helpful. While the patterns are all for cute little things, there is quite a variety of ideas - food, plants, critters, planets, you name it. The fact that all of them have faces (and seemingly matching personalities) only sweetens the deal.
I've been following this creator for a couple of years now on Reddit so it was super exciting to get to see his patterns in a book. All the patterns were easy to follow that I think that as long as somone with basic crochet knowledge can achieve these cute little amigurumi. I look foward to seeing more of his patterns and how he grows as a pattern designer as time goes by because these adorable creations are very hard to resist.
I love Vincent and his creations. I followed him from his early days on Instagram and have enjoyed following him on his journey. This book is a fabulous collection of his patterns. Love seeing young men promoting yarn craft!!

This book had a good combination of stuff, but I had a timed copy of it. I could not try any of them out in the time I had access to the book. The collection is colourful and well explained but I cannot provide a full length review since I was unable to try any of them out.
I asked for an ARC of this book because my wife has just started to crochet. She says she found the creatures featured here to be adorable and the patterns easy to follow. She actually asat down and made an adorable rocket we gifted to Bottle Rocket (a roller derby league mate).
There are some really unique and cute patterns in here that are a lot of fun to make. I loved the wide variety of patterns as well from a rocket to a beach ball.
This was an informative and easy-to-follow instruction book about crocheting cute amigurumi items. The work begins with a discussion of materials and terminology, goes through techniques and tutorials you’ll need, then ends with the patterns.
The discussion of techniques was quite helpful. It covers simple stitches, to attaching panels, to various needlework techniques for decorating the crocheted item. The patterns are divided into five topics: space, forest, seasonal, beach, and food and drink. Each topic has five patterns related to it. The instructions are easy to follow, especially with the tutorials in the front of the work. Some of the patterns were a bit odd, for example the satellite and the scarf, but they were all still cute.
I definitely recommend this work to beginner crocheters who are looking for an array of fun creatures to make while learning some basic crocheting techniques. My thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for allowing me to read this work. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I've followed Vincent on Instagram since before I could actually crochet, so I was so pleased to get this book approved on NetGalley! Full of cute anthropomorphic amigurumi patterns with easy-to-follow instructions, and most of the designs are small ones you can stitch up pretty quickly, the book makes a great gift for crochet fans.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.
I've been a fan of Knot Bad for a number of years, having followed on instagram and found their designs so cute and fun - I have a crocheted Bulbasaur on my shelf created by them some time ago!
This book captures the joy and pleasure that Vincent Green-Hite feels for the craft, and gives a number of adorable, accessible patterns for crochet fans of all abilities.
I found the instructions and imagery helpful, easy to follow and at a suitable level even for my minimal skills. The patterns are themed but have the consistent style that Knot Bad is known for. I think any crochet or amigurimi fan would find this collection of designs enjoyable to make.
I have not tried or checked every pattern, so I can't confirm if there are any issues to that level of detail. I look forward to making some of these adorable designs!
Knot Bag Amigurumi is a fun collection of 25 cute amigurumi crochet patterns. This is a great pattern book for both the experienced crocheter and for the novice who is looking to learn how to make amigurumis. Along with the patterns there's step-by-step advice on stuffing, adding features, color use and more. The patterns themselves are easy to follow and adorable. I like the space themed ones best.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Cute creations! I can’t wait to make some myself.
To say this was knot bad wouldn't really be doing it justice. I loved the book, from the humourous writing and little inside jokes, to the authors story and the cute creations. He explains not only how to start and gives an accurate review of materials but also explains really well the basics of how to crochet with really thorough pictures. The items are adorable and not just the run of the mill kind of objects either. I'm not a beginner but this book would help me a lot if I was. Loads of stars! Thanks to Netgalley and the author and publisher for allowing me a temporary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. I'm going to have to but a copy as my time is almost up with my temporary copy!
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
Knot Bad Amigurumi is a great beginners guide to crocheting your own cute creations! With 25 easy to follow patterns this book is a must for any beginner and there's something for everyone to enjoy in this book. The author gives tips and advice such as yarns to use, hooks and which are best to use and even step-by-step stitching tutorials. I've had a go at crochet afew times but always get waylaid with other things so I'm definitely hoping to create something cute and fun from this book. The book is easy to follow and understand in terms of lingo used and I loved the projects shown.
This is a great pattern book! All of the patterns are so cute! This is a well written book for crocheters of all skill levels, including beginners. I highly recommend this book if you want to make cute amigurumi!

This isn't the type of book I would normally review but as I'm currently learning how to crochet, I thought why not?
I've learnt the basics (I've almost finished an infinity scarf/snood 😂) and amigurumi is the next step to create 3D items/animals. I wanted to test out the patterns/designs to see how hard they actually are.
The instructions were well written and clear with helpful tips along the way.
I liked the pictures that were alongside the patterns so you can see what it's meant to look like.
Overall this is a good little book to help beginners get started.

Great book, some fabulous idea’s. Can’t wait to give them a try.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
What a great colorful book written by Vincent Green-Hite who would resonate with any audience of today Self-taught via You Tube, he brings a sense of adventure and skill in demonstrating the art of amigurumi to all ages.
The cute little creatures and items come alive with color and character, and the tutorials are really easy to follow and very well photographed . Fun to look at, fun to make and not too big - great project.s for everyone.
Thanks you NetGalley and the publishers for the DRC
