As someone new to crochet I really enjoyed these small, easy to follow projects, Only small quantities of wool are needed along with a couple of hours work and you have cute gifts for both boys and girls.. I made the 'thrilled turtle' and 'fragrant flower'', both worked out just like the photos in the book.and the instructions were simple, even for me!
Cute projects and easy-to-follow instructions. Great for beginner crocheters! I've already made the little Boba Tea as a gift for my teen for Christmas and it turned out great - I used a lighter weight yarn that called for, but it just turned out smaller - still adorable! All of the projects are cute and look easy to make. I'm not a fan of using the plastic safety eyes, so I just improvised by stitching 2 lines to look like closed eyes and it turned out great! I would definitely purchase more books by this author!
I taught myself how to crochet off of YouTube years ago and still love to make new things. I've dabbled a little with Amigurumi but never considered myself a pro at making them. This book had many different amigurumi patterns that were extremely easy to follow and my finished product didn't look like a deformed something. For anyone who is just starting out in crocheting this book is for you!
I'd been thinking about picking up crochet so this ARC came at a great time for me. The projects are cute and fairly unique without being incredibly complicated. Perfect for a newbie.
The step by step instructions with pictures really helped me to understand each of the different stitches involved. I had a few missteps initially, but was able to pick it up rather quickly. Within a couple of hours I was confidently hooking away.
This book with its fun projects would be a great gift for a new crafter. It even opens with a few pages on the different types of crochet hooks, and what the styles and sizes of hook and yarn mean. So if you were gifting the book, you could pretty confidently buy some materials to go with it even if you weren't already a yarn crafter yourself.
I don't think I would recommend this book for seasoned crocheters since the patterns are easy enough to probably figure out on your own, but if you've never knit amigurumi before, this might make a great start for someone more familiar with crocheting flat projects.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC
I love this book! I've followed Knot bad for a while, and his patterns are always super cute, so I had high expectations. They were definitely met! There's a wide variety of patterns and clear pictures, in the beginning for different stitches and techniques, but also in each pattern.
This books is full of adorable patterns with detailed instructions and photos of amigurumi plushies. All of the designs are reminiscent of the authors tik tok and his personality shines through
This is a super cute book full of fun amigurumi creations! I'm not the most confident with my crochet skills, so the instructions and tutorial portions were a bit intimidating for me, but everything was still super clear and detailed. I think this would be a great book for someone who already has some skill with crochet.
Interesting and informative book with clear patterns. It is on American terms but had good clear imagery in its explanations.
I really enjoyed this book and appreciated how the author shared his backstory and history of the craft itself. His supply list and tutorials (directions and pictures) were clear and appropriate. I have been knitting and crocheting for a long time but am new to amigurumi so I appreciated the tips. One of the elements that I liked was how he shared the details of his style but encouraged the reader to incorporate their own creative elements. The projects were well organized by categories. My favorites were the boba tea and green tea patterns.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
A different take on amigurumi. This book teaches techniques and provides patterns for making anything cute- even rocket ships!

What a great book and a total beginner I loved it.

so excited about this! I would definitely say I'm an intermediate crochet and this is a fantastic book for amigurumi. Great for beginners looking for an easy way to start making plushies. There are photo for the more complecated parts and everything is extremely detailed.
Reclaiming the crocheting world via amigurumi. Vincent weaves in personl stories with patterns and tips. Creating made easy with step by step break down and color images! Great book for beginners and those that appreciate visuals.
This crocheting book is for a beginner in amigurumi. The books begins by going over what crocheting is and the materials you will need. The next sections focuses on different stitches and techniques. Finally, they provide patterns and pictures for different things to make. It is nice to see this book written by a male as most crocheting books are written by females and aimed at females.
Super cute patterns with easy-to-follow instructions. A great book for anyone interested in amigurumi.
I really enjoyed Knot Bad Amigurumi. The patterns are very well written and easy to follow, with lots of helpful images
I love to do crafts and I am always so excited when I find new crafting books. Every crafter knits or crochets definitely, so it is always so interesting to find new pattern books and to read about what a crafter has learned and created. Knot Bad Amigurumi is by Vincent Green-Hite and it looked like a lot of fun!
The book starts off with the introduction and then it gets into the details of crocheting. I consider myself more of an experienced crocheter so I did not read the details too carefully. After going over the materials, the book gives a short crash course on the stitches and terminology a person would need to use this book. The instructions seem clear and I like how the pictures show you what to do.
The patterns themselves seem fun and I had a great time crocheting one of the patterns from the book. It was easy to follow and my finished product looked really cute! I like the range of patterns and how they are different from your usual amigurumi patterns.
All in all, this is a great book. I would definitely recommend it. I think that beginners could follow this book but it may take a couple of tries before the amigurumi turns out like the book. Knot Bad Amigurumi is a wonderful crochet amigurumi book.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
NIce crochet book. Patterns were easy to read and follow. Some cute amigurumi patterns.
This was my first time looking at Vincent's patterns. He is a very taleted crocheter.
Thanks Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to see this book.
