This was a very interesting read.
This was a quick little motivational read. I don’t think it was too different than most motivational reads, but it did have that Kevin Hart humor and flare to kick it up a notch.
Very motivating! Kevin writes in a conversational and direct manner to engage the reader in his 15 attributes of success. Quick read with a lot of great nuggets of inspiration!
This is How We Do It is a delightful, transformative read that left me wanting to embrace a brighter outlook on life. As a self-proclaimed 'Pessimistic optimist,' I resonated with his relatable perspective.
This book motivated me to cultivate a more positive attitude, share it with others, and let go of self-defeating thoughts. Beyond the laughs, Hart's words inspired genuine personal growth.
It's Kevin Hart, what more could you expect. This book was insightful and entertaining. I highly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.
A short, quick read full of basic advice that is pretty much common sense, or at least it should be. It's just like having a conversation with a good friend. Pretty good read
This is exactly what I needed right now. Whether your working through a hard time or just want to better yourself and your mindset a pep talk from Kevin Hart is exactly what you need!
I’m a Kevin Hart fan! He is so positive and uplifting and I love his stuff! I associate him with positive and fun people like Tiffany Haddish. The two of them individually and together always bring a smile to my face.
I didn’t expect this book to be so short but it is exactly as the title suggest, a pep talk which focuses on fifteen tools to achieve your best life. It is a quick self-help book perfect for when you need a pick-me-up or reached a stumbling block on your life.
The titles of some of the chapters are questionable but his advice reads like common sense and things that you already know however, it is affirming to read about it again kind of like a gentle reminder for yourself.
Reading this gave me a sense of optimism and I feel motivated to live my life better and in a more fulfilling manner.
Thank you Netgalley and Amazon Original Stories for the arc.
Honestly I wasn’t expecting to get as much from this book as I did. Once I could stop reading it in his voice I was able to focus on the message not the author. It really was great.
I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this book but I was so pleasantly surprised! I picked it up as I love a self help book and Kevin seems like a lovely, down to earth guy. Turns out, he and I have a lot in common in terms of how we feel people can grow.
One of my favourite parts was this: “ What people don’t realize is that discomfort is temporary. What happens after that discomfort is the immense sense of power and freedom that comes from having been able to do something about it, to be able to replace things that aren’t working with things that will.”
Keep in mind this is a super short book so don’t buy it expecting lots of content. I think it could be a great pick me up or motivation book to reread when you feel you’ve lost focus of your goals or path in general.
100% motivational, good-hearted, and entertaining. Kevin Hart has written a great book full of good sense. I expected silly humor, yet was quickly drawn in by his bright intelligence. Putting the work in takes first defining your goals/dreams/priorities, then living each moment rather than passing time. I was surprised how much I loved this book, and I’ve become an even bigger fan of Mr. Hart through reading it.
Tiny warning: If who find offense with swearing, move along. You’re missing out, yet there are lots of F’s in this one.
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Original Stories for sharing a digital ARC in exchange for my personal views.
Short and sweet motivational book by Kevin Hart. The advice in this is fairly straightforward, and the book itself is too short for many of the anecdotes to pack much of a punch. The advice itself is nothing lifechanging, but this could be useful for a punch of positivity to turn your mindset around.
This wasn’t full of new and improved or never before seen ideas or tips.
but Hart got down to the core of what someone should do if they want to be the best person they personally can be.
it was well written, easy to follow along and understand with the right amount of personal anecdotes without making this about Hart himself.
i really enjoyed this and would recommend it as a quick self-help pick me up and self-buster when needed.
A great balance of humour and genuinely useful advice, Kevin Hart shows his strength as an author here. Yes, he’s funny but this book also shines a light on his experience and, yes, wisdom. A pleasant surprise for me, to be honest.
I read very little self-help types of books but I am a fan of Kevin Hart. This was a quick read and the brevity of the sections made "the gems" easy to digest. This would be a great read for a younger person because it gives good advice about how to think 'bigger' about things and how you go about your life. It's a great book for building the foundation of how you operate in your daily life.
This was a quick, fun read, and it actually made me want to make some changes in my life. I am what I call a "Pessimistic optimist"....I usually have an optimistic outlook, meaning I hope for the best, but I certainly expect, and prepare for, the worst.
Reading this book has made me want to adopt a more outward optimism, and to share that optimism with those around me. I also need to work on accepting how things are, and dealing with them on their own terms, rather than wallowing in "Why me?" thoughts.
I thought I would get a few laughs out of this book (I did!), but Kevin Hart actually inspired me to make some changes for the better.
This book was a page turner from beginning to end. Hilarious and inspirational story from Kevin Hart. Loved learning things I did not know and more about this amazing artist. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a great little book with advice on how to develop as a positive person in a world that is so focused on the negative. These are not new ideas, but Kevin Hart gives little vignettes about how he has applies tools for positivity and growth to his own life. He learned these lessons from others along the way, and he wants to pass them on to the next generation.
I would love to listen to this on audio.

This is a quick read, full of pep talks from Kevin Hart. While I could feel his personality throughout the book, the message fell flat for me. The ideas were not new or particularly catching. Some of the themes reminded me of stoicism, and I would recommend reading Marcus Aurelius’s "Meditations" if you liked this book.
