The title grabbed me right away, but it didn't hit me as funny as I hoped for.
Some jokes were funny, but others just sounded like more sexist remarks against women.

A few laughs at first, but, certainly gets redundant after a few chapters. I would have to equate this book to one that is "blond jokes". At first we all chuckle, but after a while, it's a bit boring. It may be considered a good book if you like to spend your time bashing women. I read this book out loud to my husband. We laughed at first, but after it was...."isn't there any better material to laugh at"? It also reminds me of the middle school joke books...not much substance. Maybe the author needs to add a bit more detail to make her jokes really enjoyable throughout the book.

"Jokes to Offend Men" by Kelley, Kraese, Herzlin, and Yates is a collection of humor that unabashedly pushes the boundaries of political correctness. With a cheeky and irreverent tone, the book sets out to challenge societal norms and provoke laughter through a series of jokes aimed specifically at men.

The authors do not shy away from controversial topics, addressing stereotypes and poking fun at various aspects of masculinity. From relationships and stereotypes to workplace dynamics and social norms, the book covers a wide range of themes that can be both amusing and thought-provoking.

One of the book's strengths is its ability to elicit laughter by challenging societal norms and the status quo. The jokes are intentionally designed to be provocative and edgy, often pushing the boundaries of what is considered acceptable humor. For those who appreciate dark humor and are not easily offended, this book can provide a refreshing and entertaining read.

However, it's important to note that humor is subjective and can be deeply personal. While some readers may find the jokes hilarious and relatable, others may find them offensive or distasteful. The book's title itself suggests that it targets a specific audience, so it is crucial for readers to be aware of their own sensitivities before delving into its contents.

Additionally, the book's narrow focus on jokes that offend men may limit its appeal to a wider audience. It would have been interesting to see a more balanced approach that includes jokes that challenge gender stereotypes on both sides, fostering a more inclusive and engaging reading experience.

In summary, "Jokes to Offend Men" is a book that aims to entertain through its provocative humor and willingness to tackle sensitive topics. It may appeal to readers who enjoy humor that challenges societal norms and are not easily offended. However, its narrow focus and potential to offend mean that it may not resonate with all readers. Approach this book with an open mind and a willingness to engage in humor that pushes boundaries, and you may find yourself laughing along with its audacious wit.

This book wasn’t quite what I expected, but it was a fun listen and some parts were quite funny. It was enjoyable to listen to whole doing chores, but it’s not sure it’s quite my style

Me and my husband both laughed listening to this. Feminist and funny. I would recommend this to all.

I really liked the audiobook format of this, it was great to hear the delivery and punch lines of every joke. Not all the jokes made me laugh but did make me feel not alone in my interactions in the world. This book can make you laugh and cry at the same time.

Could not get into this. Didn't like the style. Didn't feel like it flowed. Found the voices annoying. I would have preferred that they eased into this. Didn't come off like a book.

It's funny because it's true! < Me, constantly, while listening to this book. At some point we all need a little levity in our lives, so after a long day of smashing the patriarchy, or the patriarchy trying to smash you, or probably a little bit of both, kick back and have a cathartic laugh with the sisterhood thanks to these four funny women.

I was disappointed with this audiobook. I thought many of the jokes/observations were funny, but the delivery was kind of bland. Generally speaking, jokes need to be delivered - they need personality and expression. These were jokes read off of a page. I'd prefer this in the format of a comedy night.

This was a good audiobook. The story was easy to follow, the narration was well done and the content was interesting. Not every joke landed with me, but for the most part I found it funny and relatable. I would recommend it. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to listen to and review this audiobook.

Thank you to NetGalley and these authors for this audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest feedback and review.

This audiobook took only a hour to listen to but I wish I had more by the end of it. Some of these jokes had me laughing so much I had to pause it and some had me rolling my eyes in agreement. There were times I said "hell yeah!" I loved this! I hope these smart funny women come together again to give us another book.

Thank you to NetGalley, the authors, and the publisher for an Audiobook Arc of Jokes to Offend Men in exchange for an honest review.

I went into this hoping to laugh a lot and have it read in a comedic sense. I chuckled a few times, but nothing really made me laugh out loud. The jokes were okay. I was hoping to love this but the title was a bit misleading. About maybe 10% of them were jokes. Most were just remarks or insults that could be offensive...and those weren't funny. Was a bit disappointed. The only section that really stuck out to me was the medical one where they talked about chronic pain and experiences in the doctors office -- and that was because I related to them. Again, the statements were more true and/or relatable rather than funny.

1.5-2 stars

A hilarious, and at times a little too honest, collection of "jokes" guaranteed to make men uncomfortable. The honesty and vulnerability of some may even make you squirm in your seat. BUT some are just genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. It was a rollercoaster listening to this collection, but I enjoyed it. I ran through a range of emotions, decided on a few to keep in my back pocket, and texted some to my friends immediately. Something most women can relate to and bond through.

I loved that someone made this, because it’s needed, and it would be incredible for men to read or hear it.
I did laugh at some of these jokes because they’re so outrageous, but it really shows just how stupid and misogynistic society and the jokes men uses are.
This book really shows how many men are sexists and makes jokes on our behalf, which they have no right doing.
And I probably would have enjoyed it more if I read it instead of listen to it, my brain just works too slow.
but the jokes sometimes were really funny and sometimes just made me really angry at our society and men.
so even though you’re not to jokes or whatever, everyone needs to read this both men and women, it’s a funny way to let people understand just how fucked up our society is.
