Lucy Score does it again! "Forever Never" is a red hot romance, full of steamy scenes but also precious, sweet characters. Remi is a creative, free spirit who returns back to her small hometown to escape the demons of the big city. She reconnects with family but she also sees her longtime crush, Brick. Brick is strong in every aspect of his life. He is loyal, solid, steadfast and brave...except Remi Ford is his kryptonite. She is his brother's ex, his ex-wife's best friend and the daughter of his boss. Remi is forbidden in every sense of the word. Maybe that is what fuels their attraction? This book has a damsel in distress element as an old enemy comes searching for Remi but he is going to have to come through a "Brick" wall to get her! Great read.

Lucy Score creates these amazing characters that hit hard. None are easy, no one makes all the right decisions. They are messy and their affections and hurts are messy too. The story is charming but with a less agile writer so much here could go off the rails. It doesn't. Instead it stays sexy with a slow burn, but rooted in the ways hurts linger and can muddle attraction. In short, totally worth reading.

I wasn't expecting so much drama or angst with this romance, and I didn't particularly like Brick as a love interest. The descriptions and banter were okay.

I’ll do just about anything for some peace and quiet and a Lucy Score book. This was fantastic. I loved Brick (like, da-yum) and I don’t usually care for characters that are artsy but Remi is such a chaotic smart-ass you can’t help but root for her. Loved the setting and the small town characters, the family dynamics. And spice level, if measured on the Scoville scale, would be Carolina Reaper hot! You can’t be sad while reading a Score book. Special thank you to NetGalley for a digital copy.

This is the first Lucy Score book I have struggled through. I ended up putting it down and then going back to it. I couldn't figure out the why. Why couldn't they communicate? Why couldn't they admit their feelings for each other? Why were they constantly butting heads. I persevered. I yelled at them. I laughed at their ridiculous arguments. I felt the end was nuts. I LOVED it. IT is a slow burn then fire the entire second half. I give it four stars. I took a a star off because they made me so angry.

Brick has always had a thing for Remi, even if she has been off limits. Remi left the small island for a bigger and better world, but something has made her land back on the island. A big secret Remi doesn't want to get out. Brick however always knows when she lies. Steam level - on fire!

WHEW! This was a spicy one! :)
If you are not okay with open door romance - then stop reading now. Otherwise, full-steam (see what I did there? haha) ahead! Brick and Remi are fire and ice. She's sunshine and he's the grump. And together.... chemistry galore. They grew up together but Brick (that's his nickname, btw - no eye-rolling allowed) is a good bit older than Remi so he always stayed away. Even when she was "of age" he worried it would look inappropriate so he kept his distance... until he couldn't any more. This is a bit more scandalous than some of Score's other books so be prepared for a little more angst and a lot more steam. Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, Bloom Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Another quick and fun read by Lucy Score. True to my feelings towards all her books is my distaste in the way the men tend to speak to the female characters.

Absolutely loved! This book was perfection, the setting of a small island in winter was wonderful, and the characters were everything. Run, don't walk, to get this book!

I've really enjoyed the few Lucy Score books that I've read this year. They are just plain fun and a little steamy too! Forever Never takes place on Mackinaw Island and I can relate so much to the Michigan winter that Remi and Brick go through since I'm from the U.P. It's always fun to read a book that's close to home.

Remi has had a thing for Brick for forever...hopefully they can finally come to terms on these feelings that they have for each other. Sit down and buckle in for a fun ride of romance and mystery too!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

FOREVER NEVER is a wonderful book by Lucy Score, who blew up on Book Tok last year from her book THINGS WE NEVER GOT OVER. I was so excited to read another long slow burn from Score, and this book did not disappoint in the slightest. Lucy Score does phenomenal character building, and truly builds up the angst and tension over the course of her novels. There was so many swoon-worthy moments in this book, as well as emotional points that led to a well-curated story. Even though this book was long, it went by fast because I truly could not put it down. I am so excited to read more of Score's previous works and I cannot wait to see what she writes next.

Lucy Score is one of those authors who never has a dud. Her books are diverse, always different, but you know the minute you step foot in them they will transport you into another world.

I read this one within a 24 hour period only stopping for sleep and snacks...if that tells you how lovely it was.

Brick has always been a little in love with Remi. She's always been a little in love with him. But age, jobs, school, and life just seemed to always keep them apart. When Remi is in trouble, she returns to Mackinac Island and immediately into the arms of Brick.

I loved the wide cast in this one and am a little disappointed some of the side characters haven't gotten stories *yet*. Adorable, laugh out loud moments but with real personal growth and enough swoony moments to melt your heart.

Another winner with Ms. Score. Read her, you won't regret it.

I was thrilled to receive an advanced review copy of this book because Lucy Score is a reliable and enjoyable author. I first came across her work earlier this year with "Things We Never Got Over," which quickly became one of my favorite reads of the year. Since then, I have been making my way through all of her previous books, and this latest one did not disappoint. I loved everything about it. Lucy has a talent for seamlessly blending romance and emotional storytelling with just the right amount of spice.

I really liked Brick and Remi… after a while. It took a bit for me to get into this book, but I ended up really enjoying the connections that Remi has to the island and the healing that she seems to get by coming back.

Wow! This is my first Lucy Score book but it will not be my last. This was a great book from start to finish and hard to put down! Five stars!!

Yes yes and yes. First this is the perfect book for winter! I loved Remi.’s personality. The build up to when Remi and Brick finally give in after 15 years … was fantastic. My family visits mackinaw every year, so reading a story that takes place on the island … it was perfect. I love suspense in a book. And I felt it was great mix of that and banter between Remi and the town. Also, really enjoyed the fact she managed to add in the one horse trope. Overall, I loved it.

Lucy Score does it again! super steamy romance with a touch of mystery! I loved the suspense for the sub-plot about Camille, along with the main idea of the romance. If you loved Things we Never Got Over, it's definitely worth reading this one!

Thank you NetGalley, Lucy Score, and the publisher for this free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review! I was so excited to get this ARC because Lucy Score never misses and is always a joy to read. I discovered Lucy earlier this year with ‘Things We Never Got Over’, one of my top reads of this year, and have been working through her entire backlist. And this book did not disappoint. I loved everything about it… Lucy is a master of mixing romance and a emotional story/plot with amazing spice!
