Super cute illustrations and a fun read for the Halloween season. Love the fact that it is interactive for the kids, which helps keep their attention while reading and not get side track.
If you read it to a group of kids, recommend reading the page with the action then give them all time to do it before moving on. They'll think it's fun being able to interact too. It's fun joining in on the fun when reading it, as well

Sometimes there is rhyming to it and others it doesn't.

What happens when everything goes awry, the Boo Crew is called and saves the day! The illustrations are done in a cute style that’s truly spooky cute. What I love the most though about this book is the interactive aspect. This makes a great read for one on one, and if executed correctly, for storytimes with a larger group. Things such as shake the book, blow, flip the switch, etc exist in this book and help to make you a part of the Boo Crew to help save the day. Indeed, a precious fun read that I cannot wait to read with my little one!

Cute illustrations! I didn’t love the composition…there’s a rhyming scheme, but it’s not exactly well-executed. Children would probably still enjoy it as it’s very interactive…blowing on pages, tapping illustrations, shaking the book, etc. Fun!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this eARC!

As the leaves begin to turn and Halloween lurks just around the corner, Vicky Fang and Saoirse Lou have delivered a delightful treat for young readers aged 4-8 with "The Boo Crew Needs You." This interactive children's book is a perfect addition to the October reading list, setting the stage for spooky fun during the Halloween season.

Trouble has descended upon Monster Town, and it's a race against time to make things right. Enter Luna, Bones, and Fang, an endearing trio comprising a ghost, skeleton, and vampire. But here's the twist – they need your help! The beauty of this book lies in its interactivity, allowing young readers to become an essential part of the narrative.

From mending a broken pumpkin to setting an unruly haunted house back on its feet, the action prompts engage children and encourage them to participate actively in the story. This not only keeps kids engaged but also nurtures their problem-solving skills as they team up with the Boo Crew to save the day.

Vicky Fang's storytelling is both engaging and charming, with just the right amount of spooky elements to captivate young minds without overwhelming them. Saoirse Lou's illustrations are vibrant and filled with whimsy, adding depth to the narrative and making the characters come alive.

This book is so flippin' cute! We love Halloween books at our house. We also love books that let you "help" the characters. The Boo Crew Needs YOU! was a big hit with our 4 year old and we've read it over and over and over...

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. It is such a fun Halloween childrens book. The story follows the boo crew who goes around town solving Halloween themed problems.

The best part of the book is the interactive activities included throughout that gets your child involved into the story. As I was reading it, I was thinking to myself how this could make a great popup sound book.

I definitely want more books about the book crew.

I loved the illustrations. All the characters are Halloween themed children monsters. I loved the setting of the town.

I honestly could not get enough of this book.

The Boo Crew Needs You is a very cute Halloween book, perfect for a themed storytime. The rhyming text is fun to read, the illustrations are lively and include lots to look at, and the interactive nature of the story makes it fun for kids (tap, clap, and press to help the Boo Crew solve the problem).

This was adorable and I think will make a great edition to the Halloween book collection my daughter has. The one downside to an eARC was that I couldn't enjoy the interaction part but I definitely can see how this would be fun for kids! Definitely preordering this one!

Thanks @netgalley for the eARC!

This was so adorable and fun to read. Join Luna, Bones, Fang, and their Boo Crew as they help the Monster Town get ready for their annual Halloween Ball. Frightful creatures such as a mummy, witch, and others are a delight. It's an interactive picture book for youngsters, from shaking and tipping when the haunted house gets turned upside down. But all in all, everything comes together for the monster bash!

The Boo Crew needs you!

This super entertaining book has cute illustrations of not-so-scary monsters and magical creatures. A ball is to take place, but everything is all out of sorts! The Boo Crew has to work alongside the reader of the book to solve all of the problems so that the ball can take place. Kids get a chance to be involved with completing actions such as pressing buttons, blowing out a candle, and rotating the book to straighten the building. It makes for a super entertaining spooky season read that will surely bring more than one giggle and quickly become one of those "Can we read it again?" Books!

The Monster’s ball is in danger of being ruined and it’s up to the Boo Crew to help. With the help of the readers the Boo Crew works to make the Monster’s a success. This was such a fun read for littles. It was super interactive encouraging readers to tap the page, clap, repeat after the book, flip the book upside down, etc.

This is an interactive book that keeps the child engaged in the story. This interactive story experience is similar to Tap the Magic Tree by Christie Matheson. My three-year-old does enjoy interactive books, but he didn’t favour this story over Tap the Magic Tree. Personally, I enjoy the story and the educational experience from Tap the Magic Tree more than this book. I like the idea of interactive books, but there didn’t seem to be anything overly special about this story other than being Halloween themed with cute illustrations.

The Boo Crew Needs YOU! by Vicky Fang is a delightful book that will captivate young readers and maybe even some older ones wink. The story follows Luna, Bones, and Fang, a ghost, skeleton, and vampire team, as they tackle the messes and frights of a Halloween night gone wrong in Monster Town. The book offers an interactive experience, with action prompts that allow children to join in on the fun and save the day.

One of the first things that caught my eye was the adorable cover. How can you resist wanting to buy this book? The illustrations throughout are bright, fun, and colorful, adding to the overall appeal. The enchanting interactive story nature of the book makes it perfect for young readers. I found myself happily tapping the pages to mend broken pumpkins and turning the book to set a toppling haunted house back upright.

As a Fall/Halloween enthusiast, I couldn’t help but be drawn to this book. Even though it’s only August, I’m already yearning for cool weather and spooky times. The Boo Crew Needs YOU! satisfied my Halloween cravings and left me feeling happy. It’s a perfect read to get into the spirit of the upcoming Halloween season.
