In fantastical sparkly book we are invited to Mermaid Day! Day of music, food, friendship, and more!

In this fun book we meet the Mer-queen who is setting up for a fun day at the palace (and surrounding areas). It is Mermaid DAY!! Yep! The party is here and it is a day full of dancing, music and fun and I was just fully enjoying it even though I couldn't be truly part. I loved seeing the mermaids and the sea creatures have a wonderful day that just seemed to get even more awesome with every hour. One of my favourite animals to keep finding was that eel that had messages on its body!  But I was also delighted with all the mermaids, they all look so fun. 

Oh, and I loved when THAT sea creature popped up, I was a bit worried at first because well it is THAT kind of creature and you never know, but it turned out to be all good and I was just smiling and giggling.

The ending was fun, OK, it was also sad because the party was over, but it was also fun because I loved seeing all the creatures and mermaids go to bed, see them be so knackered because of the amazing day. I do have a question about one of the mermaids, he is sleeping on land? XD

The art was oh so much fun. I love how diverse the mermaids were. Often mermaids are drawn to be bubbly and look pretty much the same. But not in this one! We got punk/goth looking mermaids, we got mermaids with stripes (and jewellery) on their tails, short and long hair in all colours. The rest of the art was just so fun and sparkly, at times I just wanted to step inside the book and party along with everyone. It looks like such a blast! And so many details~

All in all, this is one day you shouldn't miss out on! Get this fun and sparkly book full of happiness and music~

Our whole family had fun with this cute book! The colorful illustrations are very eye catching and the rhymes flowed nicely! My kids loved picking their favorite animal on each page. The description says ages 4-10 but I think it would work well even for 2 and 3 year olds!

We absolutely adored this follow up to the Unicorn Day books! The beautiful animation combined with the fun story made this one a hit in our house. ♡

If you're looking for a cute book to read with the little ones, look no further! This well written, fun story about a mermaid queen that throws a party for her sea friends will be enjoyed by both the kiddos and adults alike! The colorful pictures and great illustrations of the book will keep the younger kids engaged while older kids and adults will appreciate how everyone is welcomed at the party, including the shy shark. Highly recommend this book as an addition to any children's personal or public library!

Cute book! The illustrations are beautiful and I love the style of them. The art is very colorful which I feel will appeal to kids. Also love that the story rhymes

As a teacher and a fan of all things mermaid, I can't wait for this book to release. This is a cute little story about a mermaid queen throwing a party for all her friends. They are having a great time, but what will happen when the shark joins the party? A must read for any teacher or parent that has kids who enjoy mermaids and sea creatures.

Super cute book for mermaid loving kids...and also shark loving kids. I reviewed with my son age 6 and daughter age 5. They loved the illustrations as well as the rhyming content of the book. My son liked when the shark came to the party. My daughter preferred "only the mermaids". All in all it was a fun and colorful book that kept both of them entertained. Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebook kids for the ARC of these book.

In "Mermaid Day", we get to join the Queen of the Mermaids as she throws they best party under the sea! The almost lyrical wording on the pages, as well as the fun colored art work made this book such a great read with my mermaid loving kiddo. She even said "this is a great mermaid book. And if I know all about those great mermaid books." Safe to say this one is well loved by our resident mermaid lover and deserves a place on any any fellow mermaid lover's shelf.

This is a fun book that is all about mermaids. It isn't a new favorite for me but mermaid loving children would enjoy this.

Loved the drawings in this book! Each illustration is so detailed, there are so many tiny details to see, notice and pay attention to! The illustrations are also bright and colorful, the illustrations make this an especially joyful read. There is just the right amount of text to make the pictures really, really, really stand out in this beautiful book, and the story of a fun mermaid party is cute too.

A cute, colorful follow up to Unicorn Day and Unicorn Night. Mermaid Day will fly off the shelves as young patrons get excited about another mythical creatures book. The rhyme scheme is done well and the mermaids are diverse in a myriad of ways. This story about being welcoming and making friends of all shapes and sizes is simply charming.

This is a fun book for any child that loves mermaids! The illustrations are so colorful and fun. My son especially loved the part of the story that included the shark! It was a great opportunity to explain inclusivity to him.

Mermaid Day is a great book for kids who love mermaids and the sea in general. SO many animals are highlighted in this book. The illustrations are top notch- we loved all the bright colors!

My six year old daughters loved this book because they love all things mermaid. The illustrations were engaging and had wonderful narrative notes tucked inside. They particularly loved spotting the unicorns from Unicorn Day. While they were excited about this book, it didn’t have a story that makes it a book I’ll grab for repeat story times. The strength of this book is the appeal to young readers who love all things mermaid.

A cute book about a mermaid party! The illustrations are more CGI style, which isn't my favorite, but that's more of a personal preference. The story was cute though!

Adorable book ideal for any mermaid lover. The rhyming text, bright illustrations and cast of diverse characters make this book ideal for story time.

The art style is fabulous and children as well as parents alike will certainly enjoy Mermaid day. The illustrations and graphic design are wonderful 😊

Read this with my 5 year old daughter for bedtime tonight and she really enjoyed it. She liked that the words rhymed so she was able to decipher what the words were based off the rhyme. She also enjoyed the illustrations. I think this will be a new favorite in our home
