What an interesting read!
I got into this reading super quickly, because it's an agile story, which has suspense, mystery and also romance, as well as a paranormal quota. Impossible not to like it.
Kathi presents us with a story that has more questions than answers at the beginning. It leaves you wondering what could be happening, how it's going to be resolved, and I loved that. There are many suspects who could have made an attempt on Gloryanna's life. Together with his personal ghosts Jonathan and Max (his dog) who work almost like guardian angels, they will try to unravel the great mystery.
I liked that it focused on the plot, on the mystery and not sooo much on the romance but, at the same time I felt that this romance was very fast, that it happened from one moment to the next. That there were no talks, special moments, that everything was more "predestined" than anything else. And personally I don't enjoy that kind of romance very much, I like that there is a development. But I can't complain too much either because I liked the story a lot.
Thank you Covenant Communication and Kathi Oram Peterson for the issue I read through NetGalley.
I really enjoyed this ghost/time skip story. I have never read a book with that twist and I really liked it. This book was full of mystery and action. I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the story line and the romance. Definitely recommend this book

I have to admit that this book was very different, but the story, was compelling, and I had a hard time putting it down.
A lone beach, a man caught between the past and the present. A young college student, an ex boyfriend and a professor, who is going to issue a grant to one person. A grandfather with dementia who wants his secrets exposed.
This is a fascinating and intriguing story. It captivates and enchants you as you follow the incredible journey of Gloryanna's quest for answers. It becomes the most natural relationship between Gloryanna and Jonathon as they grow and blossom, gaining strength from each other. So many questions, twists and turns in their story and their relationship, the mystery and the questions you feel that you almost don't want answered.. You feel the need for beauty and happiness to prevail after the tragedy and deceit that has led them through history. The truth will win out in the end, but what will it mean for Jonathan and Gloryanna and the ones left behind? I loved every moment of this story. Beautiful and tragic, suspenseful and mysterious. Hidden secrets that maybe should stay hidden and the answers that you knew but really didn't want to be the real outcome.
Gloryanna Griffin is a marine biologist focused on taking underwater pictures for a paper she needs to write in order to qualify for a grant. In her attempt to capture the best pictures, she gets caught up in a strong vortex. Gloryanna tries with all her might to get loose, but with all her experience and training, she can’t get out of the clutches of the vortex. She wakes up on a beach with a handsome man and her dog next to her. All is well until she learns who this man, Jonathan Dawson and his dog, are ghosts. They tell her they are stuck in time, not able to move on to their resting place. She just couldn’t believe it. This guy is delusional. She had to get home.
This unlikely group, teams up to track down the person who is trying to kill Gloryanna and learn how to get Jonathan and Max back to their timeline. Strange things happening around her, as Jonathan and Max do their best to keep her safe. Out of all the people Jonathan & Max helped through the years, Gloryanna was the only one to see him. I enjoyed this love story between Jonathan and Gloryanna.
I liked this unique, sweet, and fun story as Jonathan and Gloranna try to stay alive long enough to solve the mystery that lies under the sea. This novel touches on WWII and the U-boats. The author has a Fact and Fiction section at the end of the book that was interesting to read and would make great antidotes for your book club meeting.

I loved the uniqueness of this story. Glorianna and Johnathan just seem to be made for each other even though they are from completely different decades. It was fun to see their story unravel. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I enjoyed this new and refreshing idea of a story. Bringing in some supernatural to tie the past and present together made for an interesting read. I would call this more of a mystery than romance since there are certain things that are just hard to write if one person is a ghost! I enjoyed getting to know the characters and how everything resolved.
So very, very good!
I have read many of Kathi Oram Peterson’s books and have enjoyed them all but this book sets a new standard of excellence for her. The book has such a different approach and immediately pulls you in. The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out the villain and the characters keep you trying to guess what will happen next. Gloryanna is a marine biology major hoping to get a grant to pay for graduate school when she is caught in a vortex just as her scuba equipment begins to fail. The next thing she knows she is waking up on a beach with Jonathan Dawson and his dog Max. What she didn’t realize was that Jonathan and his dog had died in 1943 on that same beach yet he was responsible for saving her life. As Gloryanna and Jonathan begin to try to figure out who and why someone was trying to sabotage Gloryanna, and hopefully also discovering why Jonathan can’t leave his beach; more questions than answers begin to appear. This book will keep you wondering and guessing to the end. It is a wonderful read. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.
I really loved reading this enticing romantic suspense novel! The story was very interesting and wonderfully written. I love all of the characters! I didn't want to put it down until I finished it!!.
