An easy feel good book, great for reading when you want to be transported to another place in your mind. Great characters as usual and even though it's a series it can be read as a stand-alone. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

This is book #11 in a series of which I've only read one but found this was fine as a standalone read.

It is a cute, easy reading type of book which I found fun and entertaining. Bea is a wonderful character and being only new to this charming village, she falls in love with it of course. The descriptions of the village and surrounds is lovely and this is certainly a feel good read.

It is a book to escape into and have fun with. Made me smile throughout!

I received this book via NetGalley and give it my honest opinion.

Wow Christie Barlow does it again! This is a beautiful series and book 11 doesn't disappoint!

The characters are beautifully written and described, the location just stunning. I really emerse myself in these books, they provide a really escapism.

Bea and Nolan are lovable characters and the whole book was heartwarming, it shows the importance of community spirit and how much the whole of Heartcross come together.

I recommend this book with 5 well earned stars!

This is book #11 in the Love Heart Lane series, and we return to the little village of Heartcross in the Scottish Highlands. Whilst it is a series, it can be read as a standalone book as each book focusses on a different character. This time we meet Bea, who arrives in Heartcross for a 2-week holiday whilst she nurses a broken heart. On arrival, she books into the local bed and breakfast, where she immediately falls in love with the little village. Bea offers her services at the local Boathouse for the duration of her stay, where she bumps into Nolan, another newcomer who is passing through on his boat following his grandfather’s death.

As like all the other books in the series, I feel in love with this one as soon as I started it. Bea is a lovely character, and we are kept wondering whether Heartcross would reel her in like it has done with all the other newcomers to the village! Nolan is your perfect leading male and you couldn’t blame Bea for taking a liking to him! Their relationship was fun and flirty, but I kept my fingers crossed throughout that it wouldn’t end in tears when they both went their separate ways a few weeks later. It was lovely to meet some of the other Heartcross residents again, and their storylines added to Bea’s and Nolan’s storyline perfectly!

The location of this series is breath-taking and again we are treated to views of the river and it’s hidden little coves. I was immediately transported to the riverbank as I read, sat outside the Little Blue Boathouse watching the world go by! The story was so delightful, making me laugh and cry throughout, and kept me intrigued with Nolan’s story and who the mysterious Patsy was!

It was filled with lots of love and laughter, a wonderful community spirit and a big dose of escapism to take us away from the stresses of everyday life. As soon as I started it, I couldn’t put it down until I’d turned the last page! Loved this book and can’t wait for the next visit to Heartcross!

An enjoyable addition to the Heartcross series. Back to the same style of writing the author had at the beginning of the series which is nice. Introduces a few new characters and clears up some old mysteries. The romance was sweet and gave a nice carefree feeling.

I received a free copy of, A Summer Surprise at the Little Blue Boathouse, by Christie Barlow, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The is the eleventh book in the, Love Heart Lane Book, series. Bea is only in town for a short time, she gets a job for the summer at the little blue boathouse, after calling off her wedding, and leaving town. Bea quickly settles into life in Love Heart Lane, even wanting to start a rescue organization. When her cheating ex Carl comes to town, will she go back to her old life, or stay and start over in Heartcross? A delightful read, a very fun series.

I love this series, each visit to Heartcross just makes me wish I could pack a bagand head there myself. It’s such a great community with a brilliant mix of characters. It was great to return and have a chance to catch up with old friends whilst meeting brand new characters. I love how the residents welcome strangers into their community, straight into their lives and hearts and this time was no exception. This time we have a story of second chances, healing old wounds and uncovering long held secrets.

Bea is licking her wounds after a broken heart, taking time away to start over. She is soon in the heart of Heartcross and finds herself a little job at the boathouse. Nolan is on his own journey, passing through Heartcross trying to solve some family mystery. When their worlds collide, sparks fly but Nolan isn’t going to be around for long and Bea can’t help but feel she’s likely to get hurt.

As always Christie has written this with warmth, humour and the emotion jumps of the page. I adore this series so much and eagerly await each new visit. Although I highly recommend reading all the books set in Heartcross, each can be read as standalones.
Another fantastic read!

As a massive fan of this series and this author I couldn’t wait to get my teeth into this next instalment. The love heart lane series just keeps getting better and a summer sunrise at the little boathouse was no exception. This could be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the books from the beginning for full enjoyment.

Being back in heartcross felt like coming home and being greeted with old friends and meeting new ones

This was an uplifting read of finding love and second chances and of a journey of self discovery and that anything is possible when you have the fabulous community of heartcross behind you.

Can’t wait for the next instalment

Fabulous setting, great characters and that brilliant community spirit again.
I think I fell a little bit in love with Nolan.
It definitely is a place you don't want to leave. A place I now know so well that I feel like I'm living in the book. I know the people and all the places.
A message to any women’s fiction lover who hasn’t read any of the series, ‘Are you serious?’ ‘Get on it right away, you’ll love them’
Many thanks to Harper Collins, One More Chapter, and NetGalley for the chance to read an early copy, in which I give my honest opinion.

I adored this book. I'm not entirely sure i've read anything by Christie Barlow before and i'm kicking myself.

Everything was perfect - the setting, the characters, the laughs. A little bit of mystery thrown in. I had genuine tears rolling down my face at points in this book. Fantastic as a standalone but I can't wait to go back and read the rest of the series.

A very sweet novel, a great pick me up.

It was true for Bea that once to arrive at Heartcross you never want to leave. I was sure that history was going to repeat itself with Bea and Nolan. It was a real page turner.
