I do love a good thriller and this was up there with them. A lot of twists and turns and kept me gripped. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend.

This latest page-turner is a must-read. With its intricate plot twists and shocking revelations, it's nearly impossible to guess the ending.

I admired the author's skillful storytelling, particularly their use of a dual timeline that gradually brings the past closer to the present. This seamless structure made the narrative easy to follow and understand.

This thriller is not driven by it's twists (but there are twists!) but instead is it driven by the characters. This is nice to find in a thriller and I really enjoyed this one.

Thank you Harper Collins UK/One More Chapter and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book started out with a good premise and was intriguing during the first third and began to get somewhat tedious. I love a twisty book and love when the author leads me down a pathway and pulls it out from under me for a surprising twist. This book tried to do this but didn’t deliver completely. It wasn’t the book for me. It might be best suited to someone who doesn’t read much in this genre.

This was one of the most twisty books I’ve ever read, and i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved that it was character driven as it made me really care about happened to them. The plot was also engaging and fast-paced and interesting. I’m excited to read more from this author in the future.

As she’s running away in the middle of the night, with a young child in tow, it’s clear that something terrible has happened, especially with the injury to her arm. But what exactly happened. The book then travels back to the previous year, and the events leading up to the fateful day.

The Lost Wife starts well, but unfortunately soon gets bogged down in irritating characters and a storyline that dragged too much for me. By the time it got to the interesting part, when the truth about the wedding day is revealed, I had lost interest and really couldn’t care what happened to anybody.

Sadly this one didn’t work for me

This story certainly kept me on my toes and I could in no way have predicted the explosive twist!
A mother and child are on the run from the abusive husband but the plot gets way deeper and I was literally knocked off my feet a few times.

I was lucky to receive an advance copy of The Lost Wife by Georgina Lees from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. Be prepared for this one as there is a bit of animal cruelty in it so don't let it shock you. I did enjoy this book and was shocked at all the twists and turns that kept me holding my breath waiting to see what was going to happen. It was really a great read.

I struggled with this book to be honest and almost didn't finish it. I guessed very early on what the twist was which didn't help.

Just not for me unfortunately but not a terrible book.

Maybe this troupe has just been done to death and I have simply read too many domestic thrillers!

The first book I have read by this author and I found it very enjoyable. This is a thriller told from two people's points of view, one of them in the present and one from a year ago.
Initially I forund the book a little slow for me, but once I got into it I didn't want to put it down.
The twists were very clever and surprising in places.
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins UK and Georgina Lees for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

My review:⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Lost Wife is a thriller told from 2 points of view, one in the present and the other from one year before.

The characters are well written, and the story sweeps you along.

I enjoyed the twists and turns that come along, and I didn't see most of them coming!

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to HaperCollins.

This story is told in 2 timelines, the present time and a year earlier.

In the present time we have Lea and her son Josh who are on their way to stay at Bramble Cottage. This was supposed to be a happy day and the idyllic cottage was originally booked for her honeymoon.

What happened to make them flee and why is Lea injured and very afraid?

This book is so addictive, I really didn't know what was going to happen next and I found myself sitting on the edge of the sofa as the tension built to a boiling point!!!

A fantastic must read book.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

I did enjoy this book really hard to review without spoilers
There were some serious unlikeable characters here, but they were part of the plot . Felt do sorry for the son. I just wanted to shake everyone for not looking after him better.

I was given a free copy by netgalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely my own.
