As a wife to a wrestler, and mom to boys who love wrestling AND dinos, this was a hit. It's simple but cute and fun, especially for wrestlers.
I had a great time reading this book. The illustrations on each page really help bring this book to vivid life. Along the way, readers of all ages learn some cool facts about this sport. Kids are going to have a lot of fun reading this book.
This is a very short book that kids will be sure to love. It involves dinosaurs which is always a win! Because of the length and simplicity of the writing, I think this book would be good for 1-3-year-olds. Kids will get some wresting vocabulary words like pin and headgear, which adults can explain further to build on the knowledge. It could also be a great starter book for a child interested in wrestling.
With only a few words per page this book is a great book for kids who are learning to read to read. The pictures are colorful and its a very quick read.
I was excited to see My First Dino-Wrestling by Lisa Wheeler and Barry Gott! My students love all the Dino-sports and Dino-holiday books and these board books will be very popular with my littlest learners. With just the right amount of rhyming text and exciting illustrations, dino lovers will love reading these. I love the signs the dinos are holding around the ring giving extra details. Look for it Feb. 1, 2023! Thank you to @netgally and @carolrhodalab for sharing the eARC with me to review. #MyFirstDinoWrestling #NetGalley
For a dinosaur lover, this is a fun book to pick up some new types of dinosaur as well as some wrestling lingo. like Advance, Countdown. Cradle pin was new for us. We got a chance to relate to a boxing museum that we had visited.
Thank you NetGalley and Lerner Publishing Group, Carolrhoda Books ® for accepting my request to read and review My First Dino-Wrestling.

The illustrations are brightly colored. I found them difficult and had to study them while turning my device trying to make out what I was looking at. The story didn't fair much better with me.
While I was gathering my thoughts on the illustrations trying to make sense of the story, it was over. At this point, I threw my hands up in defeat.
2.5 stars
Cute picture book about Dino’s and wrestling. What’s not to love about Dinosaurs? What kid doesn’t love them..
Young readers will love this introduction to the Dino Sports series with its fun, colorful illustrations and simple text!
I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.
So I read this book and wrote an entire review by hand without realizing that this is a board book. Which makes my review pretty much irrelevant. Things that I expect from a book for an infant or toddler are very different than the things I expect from a book for a young child that's just past the toddler level. In my original review, I talked about this book being simple, but the words being too difficult for an early reader type book, which maybe should have clued me in that it was a board book, but it didn't.
Now that I know this is a board book, I've gotta focus more on the illustrations, which were excellent. They were bright and colorful and would definitely be eye-catching for a toddler. And while it's not a book I'd really want to read over and over again, I'm sure I would have a few times because at least it goes by quick.
Overall I give this book 3.7 out of 5 stars.
I received a free eARC of this book. Thank you for the opportunity.
Kids like dinosaurs. Some kids have older siblings who wrestle or families who watch wrestling. This book brings both together with cute illustrations and a very limited rhyming text which introduces key wrestling vocabulary. . This would be a nice addition to community libraries or preschool classrooms. Nice job.

I received an electronic ARC from Lerner Publishing Group through NetGalley.
An introductory book for Wheelers Dino sports series. Few words that capture wrestling with more information shared in the ringside signs. The artwork matches the series and brings out each dinosaur's personality. I especially like security removing the two hiding under the mat as the match ends. A high energy book for toddlers. Lots of colors and excitement.
First and foremost, I would love to thank NetGalley, the author, and publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read this advanced copy. I quiet like the art but not the story because I dont really understand about wrestling

First and foremost, I would love to thank Net-Galley, the author, and publishers for allowing me the opportunity to obtain an ARC copy of this novel for my honest opinion and review.
With the help of my 6 and 8 year old, we read and reviewed this book together.
They enjoyed the pictures, but the story was lost on us.
There wasn't much of one, and we couldn't find this books purpose.
Overall, we were not entertained and hate having to provide such a low score, but we felt there was some thing missing.
I'm love the Dino series by Lisa Wheeler and have many of her book on my school library shelves. I didn't know she has a set of books for younger readers that begin with the wording "My First". The difference being one line per page instead of four, but there is still rhyming. The illustrations are still adorable but other than getting some basic sports terms and movements there isn't much here word wise. It is fine for the before school age children it is geared towards but I'm not sure how many would be familiar with wrestling.
Incredible! Fun! Informative about dinosaurs and wrestling, my 2 oldest loves. My first grader enjoyed it a lot, now I just need to get him out for wrestling.
I know so many little kids who love not only dinosaurs but also sports, and this is a great combo of the two. It's a very clever idea!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book! Below is my honest review.
Summary of book: Enjoy the action as dinosaurs in wrestling gear face off in this action-packed board book.
Pros about the book:
✔️ Sweet and short
✔️ Illustrations are adorable
✔️ Dinosaurs wrestling
Cons about the book:
❌ None
Would I recommend this book? Sure!
The illustrations are cute without being so overwhelmingly cute that you're overloaded. It doesn't take away from the theme of children's story. It is a bit short, but I can imagine reading this to a toddler. Their attention spans do run low.
This was a very short and to the point children’s book. I liked the illustrations. It was however, confusing for those who don’t know a lot about wrestling. There were just short words or phrases on each page.
