Imagine waking up at after a party with no memory of what happened. That's what happened to Skylar. Our boy Danny wants to help her her heal and be her friend. A slow burn friends to lovers with plenty of raw emotion. B Celeste delivers a beautiful story.

I liked this book a lot. I thought that Danny was a great partner for Skylar, especially after the experience that she went through at the football house. I do believe that many of Skylar's experiences and feelings are those of sexual abuse survivors. I found myself wondering what was going to happen with Becca, and I wonder if she will get her own book in the future. Why was she so mean to Skylar? What is she going through in HER life to be behaving this way? I would recommend this book to others if they were fans of the New Adult genre of romance. I find myself veering away from New Adult as my personal taste has changed. #NetGalley

I’ll admit I was skeptical for this one after reading the blurb. But I loved Danny in book one so part of me was excited to give his book a try. I liked it enough to recommend to someone specifically looking for a slow burn, friends to lovers sports romance, but it’s not a recommendation I’ll shout from the rooftops

Intense

Real world problems and situations make Beg You to Trust Me and the Lindon U series a favorite. Celeste doesn't beat around the bush and she makes it clear that there is help.

Skylar and Danny are goals. Their relationship took time and a whole lot of trust but wow! They are worth the read, worth the emotions, and worthy of the love!

Swoony Danny is exactly the kind of guy you hope your daughter finds and keeps. He is definitely a keeper!

And can I shriek about the final page, my heart just broke. Celeste better be giving us Caleb's book real soon!

What I’ve read, it was amazing. But I DNF it and it’s NOT the author or story’s fault. It’s mine cause I haven’t checked the trigger warnings before reading and it became too much for me and the best thing I could do is to stop reading it. If you’re okay with all the TW, pick it up, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Thanks to NetGalley for and the publisher for let me read the ebook in exchange of an honest review.

While I liked this one, I think I liked the first book in the series better. This was a little slower paced. Maybe it was just me. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for read and review

Thank you Bloom books and Netgalley for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. I should have known better based on the first book in the series that this would touch on difficult topics. I absolutely loved this book and these characters. This was written very well, and I loved the discussions the main characters had throughout the book with each other and their friends and family. The authors note at the end made this book even more special.

I’m very excited for the next book in the series, and I highly recommend this for all those sports romance lovers!!

This is part of the series, and I highly enjoyed the romance set among college sports. The hero and heroine had chemistry throughout the book, and the progression of the relationship was fascinating to observe. The football part of the book really added to the story. All in all an enjoyable Sportsmance.

After waking up in a frat house after a party and not remembering what happened but knowing she's definitely not a virgin anymore, freshman Skylar Allen starts to spiral. That's when she meets Daniel "DJ" Bridges. Well, more like runs from him. He's Lindon University's wide receiver and for some reason he's bound and determined to be her new best friend.
I fell so hard for Danny and Skylar! They were so sweet together. Danny was a total flirt without pushing Skylar past her limits. And Skylar had a lot to get through but she got through it with the help of her awesome family, Danny and new friend Olive (can't wait for her and Alex's story!).
This one gave me all the feels! I loved it! I just wished Skylar would have slapped the heck out of that backstabbing roommate of hers in the end.

I enjoyed this one way more than I did the first book in the series (Dare You to Hate Me). I actually cared about the characters and was rooting for them to get together.

This is a dual POV college sports romance where we follow Skylar, a freshman, who moved across the country for college so that she could finally be herself away from her Beverly Hills life where she doesn't fit in. However, things take a turn for her when she gets way too drunk at a party, loses her v-card and cannot remember anything when she wakes up (trigger warning for sexual assault). So she's clearly going through some stuff and, to top it off, her roommate is the school's equivalent to Regina George, which only makes things worse (trigger warning for bullying). But that ill-fated party also brings Danny into Sky's life, who is basically the most perfect man any girl could ask for.

I already loved Danny's character in the first book, he's the fun, flirty, easy-going and loyal to a fault friend that everybody wants to have around, so I fell head over heels in love with him this time. I loved how he liked Sky but would have been okay just being friends with her if that's what she wanted, I loved their dynamic and I just loved how honest and good he was.

The only thing I disliked was that, especially around the last 30%, Danny just follows Sky around like a puppy when she is being stupid and dumb. Granted, she is going though a lot, but that doesn't give her the right to treat him the way she does, especially when he had done nothing but support her and give her space and very clearly said that he wants everything with her but will happily take whatever she gives him because all the choices are hers.

To summarize: I really enjoyed it, could not put the book down and I need a guy like Danny in my life. And a friend like Olive. Oh and I need to know what the hell is going on between Caleb and Raine.

I couldn't put this book down.

After reading 'Dare You to Hate Me,' I knew I was going to like Danny and Skylar's story. It did not disappoint. There were times I wanted more life and personality from Skylar, but considering how her story started, I suppose it is understandable.

Danny more than made up for things. He was always, well maybe not always, so sweet and caring. Sometimes he did put his foot in his mouth. I loved the way their relationship progressed from friends to more. It was a slow burn, but it was worth it. Danny was so patient and loving. Top-tier book boyfriend, for sure.

Overall a great angsty college read. Just make sure to check the content warnings.

Beg You To Trust Me is the friends to lovers story of Skylar and Danny. It starts off with Skylar waking up after a frat party, in a random bed, without any recollection but knowing she lost her virginity. Danny pursues a friendship with her and helps her work through her trauma, that she doesn't even want to admit to herself.

I liked the overall story and really liked Danny. But Skylar bugged me for some reason. I wanted her to stand up for herself more than she did. Her roommate was literally spreading rumors about her and making her life hell but she was so concerned about what her roommate would do or say when she moved out of their room all of the sudden. I honestly didn't even understand why her roommate was upset or why Skylar cared if she was. There were also a few things that did not add up or make sense that kind of threw me off.

The story did hold my interest but I just wished there was more from it. I had a hard time understanding why Danny was so obsessed with Skylar, someone he barely knew. And I was really frustrated that there was basically no resolution to any of the ongoing problems in the book. I think this would have been more of a hit for me if the issues had been more fleshed out and if at least some of them had a resolution.

Okay this was really hard to put down once I really started to read it. I loved Danny and I loved Skylar, but it just left me wanting something more.

This was a classic sports new adult romance. We have our introverted heroine who wakes up at the house of her first college party that she does not remember. Her roommate and her friend group aren't really the most supportive or even the friendliest. Enter DJ who is intrigued by said introvert, Skylar, because she's not fawning all over him, like every other girl. DJ realizes he will do anything to be around Skylar and their friendship blossoms from there.

This was a good slow burn, DJ is really intent on being her friend and not <I>just</I> getting into her pants. It was refreshing having him not be characterized as a player that only had one thing on his mind, who then <I>happens</I> to fall in love with his target. Instead, DJ was genuinely interested in her and getting to know her. He was actually falling for her instead of just lusting after her. In more ways than one, the way he supported and cared about Skylar helped her grow into herself.
I loved her friendship with Olive (BTW <I>can't wait</I> for her story), and the dynamic she had with her sisters. The twins were really there for her when she didn't even know she needed them.

The only things I didn't love were how the story managed to drag on at certain points, and the handling of the SA. <spoiler>There was no clear resolution for the assault, or with how Skylar managed to deal with or overcome it. It was something she was denying for so long, and when she eventually cannot ignore it anymore she still refuses to acknowledge it. I wish we got a little more information to wrap it all up for the reader.</spoiler>

College setting, opposites attract, slow burn, emotional, with lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Check trigger warning before reading.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

Beg You To Trust Me was book two in this series. B Celeste is a fabulous author. Let's just start with that.
This book was a definite slow-burn, which isn't' my favorite. I'm not really a fan of books not picking up in the few few chapters. It makes me lose a little interest to be honest.

The world building and character development were amazing, per usual. I really enjoy the author's descriptions and details for each. I just wish the book picked up a little faster.

I couldn't put this book down. A heart-tugging, emotional story between polar opposites who are exactly perfect for each other.

Skylar wakes up the morning after her first college party with no recollection of what happened after a certain point, no recollection of how she lost her virginity or who she lost it to. DJ steps in and they slowly develop a friendship. Skylar does her best to keep DJ at an arm's length away, but DJ being a golden retriever in a sexy, football player, determined to love her no matter what, body closes the gap and a romance kindles.

It is a slow burn until about half way through the book. There are some heavy topics so check the trigger warnings prior.

I was getting kind of frustrated because Skylar never felt like she admitted what actually happened to her. Everyone danced around the topic and I think that's what also happens about why these type of situations don't get reported and/or get reported too late until it's too late to do anything. I think if it was admitted straight on about what happened to Skylar, her road to healing may have been shorter and she would be able to start to be able to getting back to living.
