This one started a little slow and was full of some ridiculous predicaments, but I still loved the characters and how they each grew from their experiences. I feel the grumpy/sunshine resolved itself pretty quickly but the characters were so fun it didn't matter.

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels was my first experience reading from author Livy Hart. I feel like I was almost reading a different book than most. There wasn't anything wrong with it per se I just wasn't enjoying myself. The writing was okay, I just never found myself connecting to the characters and their heavy backstories.

Cassidy is a choreographer and the black sheep of the family. Her sister is getting married and Cassidy needs to fly home to perform her maid of honor duties. Luke is a by the books kind of guy. He shoulders the responsibility of financially taking care of his mother, single mom sister and her children. After a series of slapstick issues, Luke and Cassidy agree to travel across country together (in the only rental car left) to get to their respective family emergencies in California.

I was excited to read a forced proximity road trip with strangers. Unfortunately, it was all too much. Both characters had a lot of baggage. Add on broken windows on planes, no rental cars, car crashes, train schedules, more planes. It was transportation chaos. 2.5 Stars rounded up.

I couldn't make it very far into this book. The male MC perspective was a little cringe and I couldn't find myself motivated to want to see what happened to either character.

Let me tell you how much I adored this book, I could not put it down. I love the opposites: Grumpy-Sunshine trope. And let me tell you, that’s what Cassidy and Luke are.

This story is a fast pace involving mishap after mishap with lots of laughs and smoldering chemistry.

Cassidy need to get to California for her sister’s wedding and it seems like the universe doesn’t want that to happen. Luke, too, is on his way to California to visit his sister, who is caretaker of their ailing mother. After the plane has to make an emergency landing, Cassidy and Luke become unlikely co-travelers in their quest to get to California. As their plight progresses, and more snafu’s evolve; the closer they become and more of their layers are peeled back as we learn their life stories that shaped them. Even though they are opposites, they are the right match for each other. The attraction between the two is long and drawn out before it reaches a fever pitch and is well worth the wait.

So what happens once they reach their respective destinations? You’ll have to one click to find out. And trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Pub for the chance to read and review this book.

Not saying I would hate getting stranded in an airport and end up traveling across the country with a hot stranger but I'm not not saying that either 🤣

Luke, the parking spot stealing where's Waldo grump (but actually secret cinnamon roll) and Cassidy, the slightly hot mess sunshine (and also the sweetest person ever) embarked a cross country adventure full of alllll the travel misshaps. Complete with two possibly scheming friends, [a lack of] road trip games, plenty of snacks, kitchy pit stops, the one bed clamshell, witty banter and some definite chemistry, I loved getting to travel with Luke and Cassidy! I loved watching their enemies to friendship to lovers over the course of their trip and am now hoping for a book two for Will and Berkley!

This is definitely a read for all you road trip enthusiasts and grumpy/sunshine/enemies/lovers fans!

Such a delightfully fun and cute romantic comedy! I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and completely engrossed till the end. Cassidy is trying to get home to help with her sister's wedding, but things just aren't going her way. She's already running late and in a hurry, and some jerk pulls into the parking spot she was waiting to pull into at the airport. Luke is trying to get to LA to help out with his sick mother. The last thing he needs is to have the lady from the parking lot yelling at him. Then there is a problem with the plane and they have to land early. Because of a storm coming, the car rental agency is closed. When they finally open, there are only a limited number of rentals available. To make matters worse, Cassidy ends up having to share a ride with Luke to get to LA.
Funny antics, mishaps, and some annoying problems make for a fun and delightful read. The book definitely left me with a smile on my face and a happy feeling afterwards. The characters were interesting and well-developed with realistic qualities that gave them an authentic personality and were easily relatable. The story was delightfully cute and I really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a fun, quick and light read, that will put a smile on your face then you definitely will want to pick this one up.

I had to DNF this book because it was not for me. I have struggling and I cannot let that ruin my reading jam. I might reread this sooner, but that is for my future self to decide.

Okay Livy Hart, I see you! This book was pure swoon, chaos and laugher. I loved this road trip romance, Cas and Luke had mountains of sexual tension. I loved watching these two function together, with a road trip that did not go right in any way shape or form. I loved listening to this via audio, it was laugh out loud in the best way.

"This is Cas, she's important" - stop it, this is so perfect.

Kind regards to #NetGalley for the ARC for this book in exchange for an honest review.

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels by Livy Hart had all the best of a RomCom. It begins as a misunderstanding that whose awkwardness ebbs and flows at the appropriate moments in the story. There were moments that made me laugh out loud. Cassidy and Luke are both heading home for different reasons, each has their share of family issues that they share on their journey across the country to their respective homes. A seasoned reader knows that the will fall in love by the end, but when you begin to see it happen it still warms your heart. A great read.

This was a cute rom com. Cassidy and Luke bring the Grumpy Sunshine trope big time! I love romance books that I can smile all the way through. It reminded me of a Hallmark movie, but with some steam. I look forward to reading more by Livy Hart. Thank you NetGalley for letting me enjoy this advanced copy.

Yes. So much yes. A travel disaster that leads to a road trip full of disasters with two strangers. A wild ride to a HEA but one I would read over and over again! Cassidy was so easy to relate to and I felt her family tension and pressure, it is an all too common pressure. It was interesting that Luke felt similary but handled it much differently. I was rooting for them the whole time and really liked how real they were. Livy Hart had me hooked and I cannot wait for more.

A cute, lighthearted “rom com” with witty banter and lots of laughs. Cassidy has to get home in time for her sister’s wedding and her knight in shining armor happens to have the last rental car at the airport. But he’s the jerk that cut her off in line, didn’t hold the door for her and has a knack for annoying her. I think you can guess where this story is headed! A fun summer romance read!

I really enjoyed Talk Flirty to Me last year! And when I heard Livy Hart was writing a road trip romance I was so excited! The plot was interesting and I really liked the side characters. I enjoyed the author’s inclusion of relatable family dynamics. I just felt like this could’ve been a bit shorter but overall it was cute!

Truthfully, I tried to read this book on 3 separate occasions, and it stressed me out so much, I have finally decided to DNF. I couldn’t really get into the characters’ and each of their stories enough to invest in the romance so 12 chapters in, I decided to tap out.

I really loved Livy Hart’s debut novel and will absolutely be reading her next one. This just wasn’t for me.

this was such a cute romantic comedy with lots of character growth.

Cassidy was a relatable character. She was in charge of helping with her younger sisters wedding but her mom and sister kept making her jump through hoops. From the beginning, we see how hard she worked to build her own dreams in her own way despite how devastating her mother’s comments and overt favoritism towards her sister was.
Her trip home to California led to a collision (literally) with Luke and the events just went downhill from there.

This story was well written and humorous. The drive to Cassidy’s sisters wedding was really entertaining as everything that could go wrong did. At first I didn’t see the depth to Luke but he was really a good guy taking care of his family. Both characters were loyal to their family and that was their motivation for their actions. Their chemistry was evident early on and the build up was angsty. This is my first time reading Livy Hart but I eagerly look forward to her next book

I absolutely enjoyed Planes, Trains and All The Feels, my first book By Livy Hart.
Enemies to lovers, the banter and chemistry was amazing. I laughed out loud in many scenes and their friends, secondary characters were so much fun. I’m actually hoping the next book is about them! Berkeley and Will!

I’m excited to have this book featured for the Let’s Talk Romance Book Club next month.

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels by Livy Hart is a classic rom com. With interesting characters that are complete opposites and difficult family situations, this book started strong and had really fun transportation mishaps. I really enjoyed parts of this book. Ultimately, I had some issues with the ending and with excessive and unnecessary love scenes. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

5. FREAKING. STARS. OMG. LOOOOOOVED THIS BOOK!

Talk about sizzle! Talk about spark! Talk about spicy! Talk about making us wait for it! Oh my god! Livy Hart will be an auto-buy author for me after the magnificence of "Planes, Trains, and All the Feels." In a book that almost mirrors (but also expands upon) the general premise of John Hughes' "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles," everything that can go wrong does go wrong for main characters Cassidy and Luke. Once strangers, their bad flight diverts and lands in the middle of nowhere. They can't get a hotel room, and they don't have a lot of money on hand, but Luke snags one of the only cars left to rent and offers Cassidy a ride across the country so she can get to her sister's wedding. He is a grump, she is a ray of sunshine, so they don't have a lot in common, but they are certainly drawn together based on their mutual disdain for one another. As the tension amps up between then, that disdain eventually turns into some of the hottest spice I have read in quite some time. Two words: car camping. *insert sweating emoji here.* I was hooked from the very first page. Cassidy and Luke's chemistry is palpable, their affection for one another is grand, the time they spend together will make you laugh alongside them. Author Livy Hart explores trauma and some really heavy themes in an interesting, compelling way that will keep readers hooked on more than just the steaminess. A lot of the time, the spicy scenes are the only thing driving a story, which has a tendency to make books boring and repetitive. Not this book! This book puts its money where its mouth is. It's slow, it's sexy, it's delicate, it takes its time, and then BAM!!! Direct hit right in the gut, heart, and groin. You might have to suspend your disbelief a little bit, but so what? I looooved the characters in this book. I see so much of myself in Cassidy that it's not even funny. It felt like Livy Hart reached into soul, grabbed my lived experiences, and put them on the page. I also loved Luke, too. Good lord, what a crabby dreamboat. I cannot wait to read Berkeley and Will's story. Please do yourself a favor and read this amazing book!

Planes, Trains, and All The Feels is a cutesy, fun little "strangers on a road trip with mishaps" romantic comedy.

Luke and Cassidy do not get off to a good start but ultimately warm up enough to be able to help each other get back home.
I definitely felt their chemistry bloom, but sadly, i feel that the intimacy overshadowed a bit too much of the story. It definitely had some fast "i love you" feelings to it, though.
But other than that, i liked that both had family situations going on, and they had a super sweet ending.

That's about it, and honestly, all i can remember...

"Out here, we're the only two people who exist. My black and white life doesn't exist. She is Technicolor, as rich as the sky."

Cassidy Blake has to get to her sisters wedding. There is no other option, she is the maid of honor, her mother is already hounding her, and somehow everything is falling apart without her there... but getting there is going to be a lot more difficult than anticipated when her plane fails.

Luke Carlisle hates flying, but he will do anything to support his family, and that includes facing his fears, or even travelling with the deranged woman that was yelling at him in the airport parking lot.

Their start is less then pleasant, when they meet battling over a parking space. yet they've somehow ended up in a road trip together to get to their destinations.

________________

Planes, Trains, quite literally everything else that could go wrong, and All the Feels. This plot is insanely ridiculous, but that is entirely the point.

The absolute chaos of every situation was a bit much at times for sure rather than the comedy that I think was desired. It definitely helped balance out the tension between Cassidy and Luke. Their hostility and bickering dissolved while their bad luck continued.

This book is definitely more enjoyable if you go in not taking anything seriously and try not to roll your eyes too hard at certain parts *cough* pretzels *cough*. Overall it's a fun road trip/ all chaos that could possibly happen/ steamy/ bickering good time. I wanted more from the book and the characters, but this is definitely something to pick up if you want something fluffy to pick up.

3.5 stars
