A grumpy meet-cute in the airport parking lot is just the start of the awkward interactions between Cassidy and Luke in this wonderfully sensitive rom-com. That may sound contradictory when I say "sensitive rom-com" but that's just what it is. A fun romantic comedy with so many warm and fuzzy feels that it's just perfectly lovely.

Cassidy and Luke both have reasons for trying to get from North Carolina to Califorrnia. When their flight is forced to land and they end up trying to travel cross country via almost any and every other form of travel, they find themselves having to rely more and more on one another. But in doing so, will they be able to share a side of themselves that others never see or will they manage to keep their walls up regardless of the forced proximity.

The growth that each character experiences over the course of the book is noticeable and meaningful to the development of them as individuals and as a couple. In addition, their best friends are great side characters with some potential for their own book in my opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

I loved Livy Hart's first book so much I was sure there was no way she could top it, but this has become a new all time favorite. It is a charming, sweet, funny, steamy, and emotional story with so much heart.

Luke and Cassidy don't start off on the best of terms. However, they become reluctant road trip companions after their flight ends up grounded mid-trip. They both need to get to California ASAP, but things are never easy.

Cassidy was so sweet, giving, and determined. I loved how she was able to make connections and friends wherever she went. Luke is the epitome of a stand up guy. He worked so hard to provide for his family and there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. Cassidy and Luke start out not understanding one another, but it was nice how their relationship evolved as they traveled. They each have family issues and past experiences that affected their relationship development and I was curious how they would work through it all. In the end, the emotional/family issues were nicely handled and I liked how they worked through everything.

Livy Hart did such an excellent job creating relatable, interesting characters. From the very beginning I was hooked and couldn't wait to see how they reached their HEA. I already know this will be one of my top books of the year. I cannot wait for more books from Livy!

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels is about Cass who is going back home to her sister's wedding but through a series of crazy events she ends up traveling with the man who stole her spot at the airport and they have to travel the rest of the way to California.

I loved this book - I traveled to my sibling's wedding recently and am so glad I did not have the travel problems these two had. From a failed train ride to limited funds for travel to problems with the speed of trains, these two encounter almost every travel problem that they could and I was laughing the whole way with them.

The chemistry between Luke and Cass was so good - they had the cutest meet-cute (he unknowingly stole the parking space she was about to park in and she was not very happy) and I loved how I could relate to Cass and how positive and sunshiney she was (yes, this was a grumpy x sunshine). I adored how Luke was a nerd (he even talked about how he does cosplay).

I adored how this book combined the perfect amount of humor and heart and I would HIGHLY recommend this book for those in need of a summer rom-com.

My Thoughts:

Is the story ridiculous? Yes! But is it worth the read? Absolutely!

The entire plot centers around everything going wrong, yet somehow, the story felt entirely plausible in a ridiculous, fun, rom-com way. Cassidy and Luke may have just been trying to get home, but what they find in themselves and with each other along the way changes their lives forever.

Here's what I love most about this story:

The complexity of the characters. Cassidy and Luke have different personalities, interesting backstories, unique family histories, and relatable insecurities. And what I appreciate most is that Livy Hart took her time peeling back the layers to these characters so we progressively understand and fall in love with them throughout the story.

The romance between Cassidy and Luke. They are total opposites. Yet somehow, they are exactly what they needed. Both Cassidy and Luke's family dramas and insecurities are inextricably linked, and it was heartbreaking seeing them both struggle. However, I loved how over time, they realized how those things were holding them back, and if they wanted to live a happy, fulfilled life and open themselves up fully to love, then they needed to make changes. It was wonderful watching them grow as individuals and then as a couple.

The sex scenes . . 🥵 The tension was smoldering, and their chemistry was explosive! I don't even believe in God, but I think I need to go to church after reading that! They were THAT HOT! The car scene in Moab under the stars is legit my dream date, so definitely going to be showing that to my husband (lol). I also wasn't the light exhibitionism, but I'm not complaining!

PS: I need Will and Berkley's story next! The tension was so amazing between these two!

So why isn't this getting 5-stars?

It took me a bit to fully invest at the beginning. There might have been a lot going on since we were introduced to two characters, and then they immediately have to deal with a travel nightmare. But I was hooked 25% in when they finally make their way home together in a rental car, and tensions start to rise.

I sometimes skimmed during some of the non-dialogue. The writing isn't bad at all. It was just sometimes a bit wordy.

Overall, this is a delightful story that I 100% recommend reading! I saw the film Planes, Trains, and Automobiles when I was very young, and this is a much more fun, charming, sexy version of that. I laughed at the banter, felt emotional over the character's struggles, and felt *things* when things started getting spicy. It was the perfect story to read during my flight to the UK.

Cute and fun rom com ride about a disastrous roadtrip across country between two people who started off on the wrong foot. Cassidy and Luke constantly surprised each other after their initial meeting wasn’t great. Cassidy is the embodiment of sunshine and openness and Luke is straight lines and detailed plans. But somehow together they compliment each other and their chemistry is magnetic but is it just a result of their road trip bubble or can they last?

If you are looking for a fun (somewhat predictable) enjoyable rom com read than add Planes, Trains, and All the Feels to your tbr.

Livy Hart is a new-to-me author. Thank you to Entangled Publishing for the ARC.

Cassidy and Luke is Grumpy Sunshine goodness. She's the Sunshine, He's the Grump.

A case of Murphy's Law happens throughout the story. Cassidy is trying to make it to her older's sister's wedding, and Luke is trying to get back to California to check on his mother.

With so many mishaps, such as the plane's cracked window, being stranded in an airport, to renting a car and send car going up in flames, well you see where the Murphy's Law statement I made.

Throughout two basic and yet totally opposites strangers road trip it back to California.

The banter between Cassidy and Luke was so good. But when these two finally stop berating each other, the chemistry and sparks was fire. Luke's dirty mouth was a very pleasant surprise.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

Thank you again Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity.

This book was so freaking cute I can barely stand it. All of the things I want in a romance novel.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Livy Hart for this ARC. One of my favorites so far.

I struggled to get into this one, I think primarily because the love between Cassidy and Luke felt too easy despite being an enemies-to-lovers book? Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advance copy.

After one travel delay after another, Cassidy is determined to get home in time for her sister’s wedding. With only one rental car left, she finds herself sharing a car and road tripping across the country with the man who has been so rude to her all day: Luke. As they travel together, they start to enjoy each other’s company, even as things continue to go wrong and their trip keeps getting delayed more and more.

This book has it all: laugh out loud moments, heavier themes handled with such care and love, and amazing tension and steam. Cassidy and Luke's trip was so fun despite all of the issues they ran into along the way. I found myself flying through it wanting to know what would happen to them next. This book is definitely a wild ride but such a fun journey to be on.

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the advance copy.

4.5 stars!!
What a fun book! A rom com version of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles this story was fun from start to finish. I loved Cassidy’s character and how she loosened up Luke. She definitely seems like the life of the party.

I liked all the trouble they had while traveling and it was fun to follow along with Luke and Cassidy’s journey and the interesting people they met along the way. This book was a little spicier than I normally read but I still loved the story! I also liked the sister relationship and I’m glad they were able to come to an understanding and stand united against their mom.
I didn’t love the third act break up/ miscommunication though. Why can’t adults just talk about their feelings? Easier said than done, I know!

Overall, this was a super fun book to kick off summer, the season of epic trips!!

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels is an enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract steamy roadtrip romance. With tons of forced proximity, you see Cassidy and Luke trying to make their way to California after a plane ride gone wrong strands them in Joplin, Missouri. Full of hijinks with shenanigans for days, there are many laugh out loud moments mixed with tender ones between the two leads.

I adore Livy Hart's writing, which packs a punch with great one-liners. Hart does a fantastic job building sexual tension and the steam is super well done. While there are heavier themes, they are handled with care (CW: parent with addiction, past parent abandonment). Consequently, I listened to this audiobook while on a roadtrip of my own, which was an extra fun treat. The dual narration was fantastic and I sped through the audiobook, which kept me wanting to find out what happens next.

This book is perfect for those that loved Lauren H. Mae's Wishlists & Roadtrips. Planes, Trains, and All the Feels is out now!

I couldn’t not adore both Cassidy and Luke. The story felt so real as both characters felt they were not good enough despite the fact that both are great, giving people. Even though their relationship developed very quickly, it always felt true which is a testament to the author’s writing. I would love to see a follow-up novel with Berkeley and Will. Wonder if that is in the cards? Although I received an Advanced Readers’ Copy, my opinions are my own.

This was the cutest romcom I've read in a while! Obsessed with Cassidy and Luke's serendipitous and disastrous journey to each other. I look forward to reading more from this author AND telling all my romcom loving friends about this book! Thank you for the eARC.

Planes, Trains, and All the Feels truly is ALL THR FEELS!! Luke and Cassidy’s story made me swoon, made me laugh, made me cry, melting my heart and causing all the swoops in my stomach. This lovely, tender, sexy, book takes the close-proximity and opposites-attract tropes to another level. After reaching the end, I had to go back and re-read some of my favorite scenes because my heart didn’t want to say goodbye to this captivating couple. Dare I hope that there will be another book in this universe about Berkeley and Will??

Cass and Luke are both eager to get to LA - each for their own reasons - but life has different plans for them.

They accidentally meet when Luke steals Cassidy’s parking spot as she’s rushing to get to her flight on time. Cass immediately thinks he’s out to spite her when he ignores her as she’s trying to flag the shuttle to wait for her. As luck would have it, they end up on the same flight to LA and when their plane malfunctions midair, they look to each other for help.

The plot was quite ludicrous (but isn’t that why we love romance novels?) and quick-paced. I got annoyed with Cassidy and Luke at different points of the story, but overall it was a sweet novel that showed character development. If you’re into being a little stressed because of failed trips, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Cassidy and Luke’s story is cute and utterly delightful. Planes, Trains, and All the Feels is a rom com full of banter, laughs, drama and steam with all the feels. I didn’t know what was going to happen from one minute to the next but that was part of the fun!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Seriously though, this book caught my interest from the first chapter. I found the characters very likable and relatable. It was fun to see how the main characters' (Cassie and Luke) relationship evolved from the parking lot of the airport through FINALLY arriving in California and beyond.

Truly....pick this book up and read it! I am also really hoping there is a second book to this series about Berkeley.
