This was such a great read! The blurb said it was for fans of Tessa Bailey and Christina Lauren. As a fan of both, I can say that I agree! This had a great balance of funny, sexy and emotional which is all you could want in a romance story. It really had me wanting to travel, but also not wanting me to have the luck that Cassidy has (although it did work out for her LOL). A must read!
I loved the trip from North Carolina to California with Cassidy and Luke. This book is such a fun read, with its enemies to lovers and forced proximity. Both of them have family drama, as Cassidy is trying to make it to her sister's wedding, and Luke is headed to surprise his family and seek some answers.
During their trip, it's one mishap and problem after another, but they get to really know each other as they work together to find a way to get to their destination. Cassidy and Luke have quite a few fun adventures and meet some interesting people on the way.
This was a quick read and very enjoyable. I'd love to see future book(s) with their best friends.
PLANES, TRAINS, AND ALL THE FEELS is an adorable romp of a road trip across the country, throwing two characters together who get along like oil and water but eventually discover they're both exactly what they needed in their lives.
The story is a play on the old Steve Martin/John Candy flick, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, about two oddball strangers that work together to get to their destination after bad weather derails their flight. Here, Cassidy and Luke have their own reasons to be prickly with each other but after being thrown together in a wild road trip, they start to open up and realize they have more in common than they originally thought.
The chemistry here was wonderful and the spicy scenes were great, as well. There's some fantastic dirty talk and some public groping, which I always appreciate. And the ending was 🤌 chef's kiss. DEFINITELY check this one out!

This is obviously a concept that has been done a lot so I wasn’t sure if there was a good reason to cover the same ground but the characters quickly won me over until somewhere about halfway through their journey and the book when I think it derailed. Unlike other versions of the anti-meet cute where it’s hate at first sight I think the author did a really believable job in threading the fine line between the characters rubbing each other the wrong way without making them actual unlikeable. It becomes a really endearing dance they do together as they get to know each other. Unfortunately it’s that slow burn coming together that I was enjoying when the author went in a completely different direction I did not expect. It went from slow burn to imminent arrest for indecent exposure in a couple of pages. Now I’m more of an Austen give me the regency romance with banter kind of fan so the very explicit scenes caught by surprise but if that’s your kind of book I will say it’s the most organic explicitness I think I’ve stumbled across. The chemistry was very believable between the characters. Unfortunately that’s not even the part that annoyed me the most. Both characters have family issues and baggage but they started getting far too detailed and taking up way too much space. It drowned out any romance or fun. Who wants to read a romance that gets weighed down with serious stuff people want to read books to escape from? I think it would have been better to stick to the road trip and the family stuff could have been used to drag out the full commitment to going for a relationship without actually going into such detail. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Short review: enemies to lovers road trip. Add humor, and you've totally got me!
This book had me right from the start. Cassidy is dancer/choreographer who has to get to California for her sister’s wedding. She’s the maid of honor, which means a billion tasks she has to solve to please her monster of a mother.
Luke the actuary is quiet, ordered and finicky, also on his way to visit family, but for a completely different reason. His mother is also problematical.
Neither of them want to be making the trip, which starts out with them duking it out verbally over trying to get into the same parking spot. They are on the same plane--which has to land at the tiniest airport ever, with zero amenities and a single clunker left to rent. They end up together... and the fun begins.
I laughed out loud at the one-liners, and adored Cassidy, especially when she did her dance stretches. (Too many writers have danger protags who never seem to need to stretch or rehearse). The fun keeps on coming as bad luck shadows them, but the attraction between them builds. I loved how the author gradually brought them together.
Of course there was the usual bad breakup at the climax, which costs half a star because I;m SICK of that trope, sigh, and it was based on misunderstanding, again sigh, though at least it was more or less reasonable and it did not last long, yay! Really enjoyed it overall, and am looking forward to this author's next.
Planes, Trains, and All the Feels by Livy Hart follows a seemingly carefree dancer, Cassidy, and a careworn actuary, Luke, on a whirlwind cross country trip. Anything that could possibly go wrong on this trip goes wrong. In a textbook case of opposites attract, the two strangers are thrust together in an effort to make it from North Carolina to California as quickly as possible. Although they start as wary allies who don’t quite hate each other but definitely don’t like each other, the forced proximity of a cross country road trip bonds them irrevocably.
Cassidy is the daughter of a career housewife who is overly critical of her two daughters. Cassidy flees California after finishing college in a desperate effort to escape her mother’s criticism and finds herself in Asheville, North Carolina. Luke, who also grew up near Los Angeles, follows his actuarial mentor to North Carolina, but his heart stays behind in California with his family. His mother is a self destructive alcoholic who is steering herself to an early grave through untreated diabetes exacerbated by her alcoholism. His younger sister is a single mother who works as a nurse and is the full time caregiver for their mother. Although Luke is over 1000 miles away, he feels an intense sense of responsibility for his family, and sends them money monthly, as well as makes consistent trips to upkeep and remodel their family home.
This was an enjoyable book that made me laugh out loud, gasp, and tear up at some parts. The tropes included are forced proximity, meet cute, opposites attract, miscommunication, one bed, and in my opinion, a little bit of insta-love.
The last half of the book was significantly more fast-paced and riveting than the first half. I could have done with a little less build up in the beginning of the book. The only reason I gave this book 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is just that it wasn’t life changing or wholly different than anything else I’d ever read. However, I actually rated it 3.5 stars, but this platform just doesn’t allow half stars. While reading, something in the back of my brain kept giving me a sense of deja vu, like I’ve read or watched a story similar to this before.
That being said, the book was good, and enjoyable. I would recommend it to rom-com lovers. It’s a sweet, HEA sorry, and a great palette cleanser between more heavy or dark reads.
The meet cute is hilarious and I really enjoyed both of the characters from the beginning. This was a funny, sweet and spicy read. I really enjoyed this one.
Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC. All opinions are my own.
5 star fave for 2023!
Funny, smart, emotional and gorgeously romantic this is an absolute gem of a read! Fun and heartfelt, it made me laugh and swoon, with a wonderfully entertaining road trip, fantastic characters, fabulous chemistry, epic sexual tension, and a passionate, slow burning, opposites-attract romance, this book is a fave for 2023!
It’s been a while since I’ve finished a book and felt so happy and so excited, that I’ve immediately had to come and purge my feelings out into a review, but this book has me feeling all the feels. I can’t believe this is the author’s second book! I’ll definitely be adding Livy Hart to my auto-buy list.
Cassidy is a fun-loving, free spirit who is full of life. She is a choreographer, and is about to travel across the country to California for her sister’s wedding. She’s the maid of honor, and is determined to prove to her constantly disapproving mother that she’s capable and responsible, and not the screw-up that she thinks she is.
Luke is everything Cassidy is not. He is quiet, ordered and precise, an actuary for an insurance company, he’s also travelling to California to see his family – though he’s visiting his sister, and their troubled and unwell mother.
Neither of them want to be making the trip, and their trip gets off to a bad start at arrival at the airport, and by the time they get on the plane, they’re at each other’s throats. Things get worse when an emergency landing has them stuck in a remote airport, and then sharing the last remaining rental car to drive to California. We then follow them through a series of unexpected disasters and bizarre situations (“wet sea ghosts”, LMAO!), and it’s a hilariously entertaining read. Their day-long drive ends up taking WAY longer than expected, with lots of surprises along the way.
And while it’s all unfolding, Cassidy and Luke are bickering, teasing, bantering, and getting to know each other. It’s funny and feisty, and these two complete opposites have some stellar conversations! Luke is so uptight, and Cassidy is a completely filterless social butterfly, and they are so much fun together! But they’re also both dealing with some pretty intense family issues, and their raw and realistic personalities make them so relatable. I just adored them both.
And, of course, the more time they spend together, getting to know each other, attraction blossoms. Not only blossoms, but sizzles. Seriously, the chemistry between them absolutely crackles with sexual tension, and more than just lust, it’s real emotion. They are falling for each other, and though they try to ignore it, there’s no way they can stop it.
“I never expected this.” Vulnerability flashes in his eyes … “I can’t believe you’re real.”
This is a gorgeous romance! Though the story takes place over a few days, it has the feel of a slow burn. The emotion is real, their feelings are strong, and the build-up is absolutely perfect as it gets harder and harder to keep away from each other. And by the time they realise that they can’t, they’re both well in over their heads with the feels, and they fall and fall hard. It’s glorious!
“As a general rule” – his mouth hovers near mine, and we share a breath – “I avoid feeling much of anything. But you make it so goddamn easy.”
Quiet and uptight Luke is actually quite the filthy sex god, and oh holy wow, the sexy time is absolutely sizzling! Passionate and intense, it’s a reflection of all that they’re feeling for each other, and God, those scenes are hot!
“I feel so much I don’t know what to do with it.”
I love the dynamic between these two. More than just falling in mad love, they are changing each other. Cassidy is the breath of fresh air that Luke needs, and he is the steady, loyal influence that she needs. They may be opposites, but they complement each other perfectly, and I adored watching them, and their relationship, change over their time together.
I want to let this woman in. Until I met her, I thought feelings were easily controlled. A choice.
Now I’m riddled with the damn things and they’re winning. Leave it to Cassidy to tornado my beliefs, just like she tornado-ed my trip. In the best way.
They both have some pretty significant family issues to deal with, as well as figuring out whether their road trip romance can actually survive the realities of their real lives, and it’s a beautiful, heartfelt journey that I could not put down.
"I want everything.
We’ve only had mere days. I want forever."
I love this book so much. I love the characters, I love their adventure, and I loved watching them fall in love (and they just happen to each have a fabulous best friend screaming out for their own story!). It’s such a fun read, but with a lot of heart, and a beautiful romance, and it’s definitely going down as a fave for 2023!
5 huge stars!
What a cute and beautiful story this is, it is so original and funny and it left my heart warm with happiness.
Cassidy is a mess, a heroine with a bubbly personality, so kind and funny, I have a crush on her and Luke is such a sweet guy, reserved and always putting other people's needs before his own, they are polar opposites in every way, but after circumstances bring them together on a journey full of setbacks and problems, they begin to feel a strong attraction for each other, and feelings begin to emerge, their sizzling chemistry is deliciously addictive, so spicy and hot, I love the way the author narrates the evolution of their relation. I swooned so hard with them!
This story is the perfect mix of sweet, passion and hilarious scenes, it is captivating and unique slow burn romance and highly recommended for fans of

I always worry when I read a blurb that compares a book to an author I enjoy, because very often, the book falls short. That is definitely not the case with this book. Cassidy Bliss and Luke Carlisle are about as opposite as can be. She is a dancer, he is an Actuary. She is a free spirit, and he always has to have a plan. They are both trying to get from North Carolina to California, when they have an encounter in the parking lot that starts their relationship off on a bad foot. Of course, they are on the same plane that has to make an emergency landing, and Luke gets the last car available. He offers to drive Cassidy, and their adventure begins. Along the way, their car is destroyed, the express train they think they are taking is actually stopping at every town. Both of them need to get home quickly, Cassidy for her sister’s wedding and Luke to help with his family, but that obviously doesn’t happen. I love the transition from enemies, to friends, then to more. This is a fun read with two very likable characters. This is my first book by this author, and it will not be my last. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.
I received this book from Netgalley.
This book really has a typical Hallmark movie type of vibe. It's pretty clear how it's going to end up. Don't get me wrong, I love that kind of book so it's not a complaint from me! I just feel as though this is a bit overdone now. I wish there had been something a bit different to jazz it up.
Cass is annoying. Characters like this are not my favourite. Yes, Luke stole her parking spot but it hardly seems like a good enough reason to completely judge and be flat out rude to him, especially when he offers for her to ride with him. Also, she's in such a huge hurry to get to California but sees no problem with having a ridiculously long and unnecessary Facetime with her friend, about Luke. Because I found Cass annoying I really struggled with this book. It is difficult to get invested in a book where one of the main characters isn't very likeable. Although to be fair she does have some redeeming qualities.
I really loved Luke at the beginning but he too got a bit annoying. I understand wanting to be there for your family but you can't put your life on hold to make other people happy. Particularly when they don't care, which is what his mother shows. At some point you have to make yourself happy, otherwise you become resentful and miserable.
A predictable story but one you know about before starting. If you're a fan of these kind of books then you'll probably like this one.
I really enjoyed this one! I wasn’t sure I would going into it, but the banter was top notch from the get go.
The title is not misleading, there are planes, trains, and a lot of feels. It’s definitely a wild ride. We go from a cracked plane windshield to a car that blows up, to a wrong train…. You get the idea.
Cass and Luke are the perfect balance of opposites attract, witty banter, excellent side character bffs that I hope get their own book, and real life problems to deal with. I loved them and loved them together.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for my ARC copy this was a joy to read and review!
4.5 ⭐ The most perfect romcom I've read in years!
This book's put me in a book slump this whole week since I finished it. I don't know what it had in it, but I was hooked! I fell head first and loved every second. The writing flowed so perfectly. The plot was fast, easy to follow, fun and romantic. I didn't want it to end! And although I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the genre... omg I loved it!
Cassidy needs to get to LA for her sister wedding, but the world seems to be conspiring against her. Getting to the airport in her piece of junk car is enough of a challenge, and she definitely doesn't need a hot, suited up guy to steal the only parking spot available and then ignore her when she screams to hold the shuttle bus doors open. And she seriously doesn't need his help when she finds that they're on the same plane to LA... Or when that plane needs to make an emergency landing in the middle of nowhere. Luke hates planes with a passion, but his mother and sister are in LA and there's nothing that he wouldn't do to be there for them. Including but not limited to putting up with a gorgeous redhead that seems to want to hate him on principle.
This book is everything I've ever wanted in a romcom. It was kind of predictable, but in the best ways. It was ridiculous enough to bring levity into every situation, no matter how dire or down-right tragic. The main characters are both so lovable for complete different reasons, which makes it feel like they were perfect for each other. Like a puzzle piece that fits perfectly with the one shaped in the exact opposite way. The whole opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine trope gets me every time! And the spice was so, so good. It took a while to get there, but it was 100% worth the wait. The quiet hero with a hidden dirty side is flawless to me.
The only thing that's keeping me from giving it the whole 5 stars is the miscommunication/ refusal to confirm or communicate openly with one another. It's so frustrating, especially in Dual POV books like this one, because we know! We all know that they both want the same thing, but safe from screaming into my kindle for them to talk, there's nothing to be done about it. That being said, I'm not super-mad about the 3rd act break up, which I tend to hate, but this one I kind of understand. Kind of... the handing of the cat keys in the parking lot killed a piece of my soul though. There's also a lot of difficult/ abusive family dynamics, with disease and addiction involved, so take those TW into account before getting into it.
But if you take a recommendation from me, give this book a chance! I already want to reread this.

***4.5 STARS***
Oh how I loved this story. Forced proximity with a stranger is a trope I need more of. Planes, Trains and All the Feels hit all the right spots for me.
Cassidy and Luke meet in an airport (he stole her parking space) and are at odds from the very beginning. One disaster after another finds them partnering up to make their way to California. This unexpected road trip is filled with pit stops, banter, chemistry and a friendship that neither character could have predicted. Their long journey has them sharing feelings about their lives, family, relationships and dreams.
The main characters carry a lot of emotional baggage. Cassidy has always felt unseen in her life and disparaged by her mother. Luke feels tremendous responsibility towards his mom and sister, so much so that he avoids relationships because family is his priority.
This trip opens up deep emotions and feelings for Cassidy and Luke. They both start to second guess their viewpoints on life and plans they have made. I love the development of their relationship and the raw and honest feelings as they bare their souls. This is such a fun, witty and emotional story that is so smartly written. The banter is absolutely hilarious. I love Cassidy and Luke and their literal journey to developing trust, learning to put down guards and letting in love and happiness.
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review
Thank you NetGalley, Livy Hart and Entangled Publishing, LLC for the ARC of Planes, Trains, and All the Feels. This is my personal review.
This was the first book I read by this author, and I can say as soon as I read the last word in this book I went and looked for other books by her.
I enjoyed this book so much. The road trip was filled with so much kept me lost in the pages.
The chemistry between Cassidy and Luke was crackling and full of sparks. Loved them together.
Grab this book and settle in for a trip you will never forget.

"Anyone who doesn't see how incredible you are doesn't deserve your kindness."
Oh my heart, this book!! Livy Hart has such an incredible way with words and I am so grateful for the opportunity to read them.
Cassidy and Luke are both just trying to get home. Cassidy needs to make it in time for her sister's wedding and is doing her best to show up for her sister despite the family drama that comes along with the event. Luke is fighting to care for his sister, nieces and mom, traveling cross country to provide support he can't always give in person. With both of them needing to be there ASAP, naturally the universe has other plans. After their flight takes an unexpected early landing, the two end up sharing a rental car and a travel adventure to make it back to their families. Through their travels home, the two find their way to each other and learn that life isn't just about the destination, but also the journey to get there.
Check this one out if you are looking for:

Planes, Trains and All the Feels is on shelves May 23, 2023! Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled for this ARC. My opinions are my own.
This was fine. It's nothing special but it's also not terrible. The characters are pretty standard (her sunshiney, him grumpy), plenty of tropes, no major surprises except maybe how spicy some of the scenes were. (IMO, the spiciness level did not match the tone of the rest of the book) I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. Pretty middle of the road for me.
Cassidy is on her way home to help with upcoming wedding of her sister. But it looks like whole word is against her. First someone steals her parking space, then the plane make emergency landing and last rental car is taken by someone else. One good thing is that someone is willing to share car ride with her.
This is first book by Livy Hart I read and I have to say I'm adding her to my authors to read list. I loved storyline and characters in this book. So happy I give it a chance.
I loved this book so much - Cassidy and Luke are two strangers who have a meet-awkward while trying to fly across the country, and end up travelling together when bad weather grounds their plane. Luke is the perfect buttoned up hero, and Cassidy is exactly the type of heroine needed to get him to open up. This book was lighthearted and had great banter, but still dealt with emotional issues (Cassidy and Luke both have strained relationships with their mothers). This was such an enjoyable reading experience, and it has definitely guaranteed I will be keeping an eye out for whatever Livy Hart writes next.
Trains, Planes, and All the Feels by Livy Hart
Like the movie this title is a play on, this is about two weary travelers trying to make it home while encountering every travel delay that they could possibly imagine. They also start out really not liking each other. Cassidy is a dancer/choreographer trying to make it home for her sister’s wedding and Luke is an actuary going home to help take care of his sick mother.
After the first major travel delay, they team up to get home, and enter a tentative truce. As the trip goes on, their attraction to and understanding of each other grows.
This is a cute book, but if you’re coming into it expecting the same tone as the movie, it’s not that. It’s a contemporary romance, but it’s not a rom-com, so I wouldn’t necessarily anticipate that. The trip itself felt a little slow getting started, and the end of the ⅓ mark, I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish. There just wasn’t enough happening (other than two people traveling together and talking to each other) to feel compelling enough to want to know what was going to happen next. However, I’m really glad I kept going because it did get a little bit spicy towards the end, and I enjoyed it. It also felt like we were being set up for a sequel/another book in the same universe with Will and Berkley, and I’d be willing to tune in for that. Overall, there were some slow parts but I really enjoyed this!
