I was delighted to introduce this book to my library group. The children absolutely enjoyed this Christmas book.
Albert loves to help his friends out, so even though Parker wasn’t his friend and he had kidnapped him, he still gave him a hand. Only to find out that he and his friends were in a deep pickle. The fruits and veggies told an important story that had you thinking about your food choices.
I love the concept of this story about healthy foods against junk foods. It was hilarious and entertaining.
I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.
This book was just ridiculous. The fruits and veggies jump from one adventure to another and they are all more absurd than my weirdest dreams. And most of the scenarios make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Even the dialogue is awkward and stilted.
I feel like if the author would have picked one absurd event and really fleshed it out with problems and logical resolutions, this could have been a palatable book for me. But as it stands, there's just too many events with too few details in too short of a book for me.
That was the review I wrote before I came to build this blog post and discovered that the author is an actual child. I still stand by my review because it is honestly how I felt about the book while reading, but I would have felt differently had I known beforehand that the author is a kid. I do not expect the same level of rational story telling from a child that I expect from an adult. There were some details in the story that were really nice touches coming from a child, things I wouldn't necessarily expect a kid to think of. And this kid has some potential. He's definitely got an active imagination, now he needs to work on fleshing out his stories and using more natural sounding dialogue.
I'm adjusting my rating to 3.4 stars out of 5 with the information I have now, because my experience reading still wasn't great, but this kid would know what kind of story would appeal to kids more than most adults.
This was such a cute Christmas book and the kids loved it. The pictures are awesome. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early copy in exchange for my review. The kids really enjoyed it!!
I loved Adam’s first book and could not WAIT for this one to come out. He is such a talented young man with insight beyond his age! A Beautiful Christmas is a story with a very important message. It’s definitely worth the read, especially for upper elementary and middle schoolers. This is making my Christmas gift-giving list so much easier!
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for accepting my request to read and review A Beautiful Christmas.

Genre: Children's Fiction -- Humor & Satire
The cover is bright, fun, and cheerful. The illustrations carry over the cover theme throughout the book.
Sadly, the story is an absolute miss for me. This is billed as an early chapter book, with as well humor and satire. The chapters are there; however, I found the story convoluted. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything funny either. I tried to imagine the characters as people themselves, and that didn't work. This was long and senseless. Early on I would flip back, thinking I skipped a page or misread what was written.
I did like that Mrs. Claus wore lavender, the page was pleasing to my mind.
First and foremost, I would love to thank NetGalley, the author, and publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read this advanced copy. This is such a nice book and enjoyable story
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
A Beautiful Christmas is a quirky chapter book for children about VIP fruits and one of the fruits fearing he will get the wrong gifts for his fruit bowl friends and the whole kitchen hating him. I liked the concept of this book and how it encourages children to eat healthier but I just couldn't take to the writing unfortunately. The book flowed very rigidly and not something most children would enjoy due to this. I could see children becoming bored from the story and giving up on the book. There's a cute certificate at the back for eating fruit and veg that was a nice touch but unfortunately this book wasn't a hit for me.
very lovely children’s book, definitely good for children! the graphics and the story are absolutely amazing.
