This story has a good premise. I love fake dating relationships where they start off kot really liking each other but then the feelings develop between them. Ford asks Tessa to give Hime a makeover and pretend to be with him to win over a woman he works with that he thinks he's in love with.
The one thing I couldn't get past is that Tessa was treated badly by Ford when he spent time intimately with her and then decided to explore things with the woman he claimed he was in love with that he worked with. He played around with Tessa and then when he realizes he really wants Tessa and not the woman he works with that he thought he was in love with it's actually Tessa that goes to him and tries to win him over. This makes her look desperate and she should have made fors work to win her back not the other way around.
Tessa is the third owner of Quest, along with friends Chiara and Malia. [Their stories are told in the first two books in the series.] Ford is a sports announcer witih a show on a local radio station and one of their gang, best friends with Chiara's husband. He and Tess have never really gotten along., not really friends though not quite enemies either He's looking to date one of his co-workers Patricia, and works a deal with Tess to upgrade his image -- she's known to help readers change to attract the person they really want. -- in exhange for helping Tess and Quest add a sports angle to their company. Maybe they can help each other out. But the problem is...once they get working on each other's problems, they start to see there is more than meets the eye.
I highly recommend that the books be read in order, although they each have a conclusion. Then all the relationships with all the extra characters -- Mike, Emma, and Rory -- make sense.
Tessa and Ford - brought together by circumstance of sorts, not really friends though not quite enemies either. These two certainly don't see eye to eye but maybe they can help each other out. Problem is...once they get working on each other's problems, they start to see there is more than meets the eye. Can they see past their differences and find a future together? This was a great read!
This was fantastic and such a fun read. I loved it so much and kept turning the pages. Can’t wait to be able to share this with friends.
Save the Best for Last is book #3 of the Twist of Fate series. The Twist of Fate series follows three best friends, Chiara, Malia, and Tessa. Save the Best for Last is Tessa's story. Unfortunately I have not read books #1 or #2. I did enjoy Save the Best for Last but I felt that I missed out on a lot by not reading the other books in the series.
Jennifer Probst writes easy, fun, romantic stories. I like her style of writing. She is a great "go-to" author when you want to relax by the pool or beach. She provides a nice distraction. At some point I will go back and read the first two books in the series. I have enjoyed many of her older books and I am sure I will be reading her again in the future!
The start of the book for me was a little slow and I really did not like Ford at the start but as the book progressed he really grew on me and I just absolutely loved the ending! The way they worked it all out, was just too cute!
Ohhhhhh my goodness gracious this book was amazing! It took me a couple tries, but once I finally got past 20%, I fell in love!
I loved reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me. I love this author snd her writing style.
Thanks to netgally for this arc.
It’s finally Tessa’s turn to find love and what a roundabout way this journey takes her and her friends on to true happiness. A great end to a fantastic series.
Normally I enjoy this author but this book was not it for me. The plot was interesting but the two main characters were so immature and hard to root for. The heroine came across as a bear and the hero was immature. This might have worked for a young adult novel but it did not work for people in their 30s who should be a hell of a lot smarter than this
A heartwarming, emotionally thrilling roller coaster adventure filled with exciting charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Really enjoyed this highly entertaining enemies to so much more romantic journey from beginning to end.
⭐️⭐️ This just didn’t do it for me.
Tessa is a successful woman, part owner of a soon to be billion dollar enterprise and Ford is a sportscaster on a local radio show. They are around each other a lot since their best friends became couples and can’t stand one another.
Tessa makes over Ford so he can get the woman that he “loves”. One he knows nothing about, has not interacted with her aside from work, and one that hasn’t given him any sense that she’s attracted to him. Throughout this makeover, Tessa comes to realize she’s in love with Ford and Ford, well he doesn’t know.
The fact that Ford was in “love” with another woman for 95% of the boom was a huge disappointment. He and Tessa didn’t have any chemistry and their banter was more dislike than anything else. The interference from Tessa Uncle and his friends was abhorrent and a huge violation of her privacy.
I voluntarily read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed it. They were total opposites and the sniping! They really couldn't stand each other.
Ford is in love with a coworker named Patricia. And honestly I have no idea why. I guess she was good-looking?
So Tessa is great at makeovers. She helps give people confidence on the inside and outside. Ford comes to the conclusion that he needs her help to get Patricia.
I loved the friendships in this story. From Tessa and her friends to Mike, to Tessa and her uncle and his friends.
I'll be honest tho, imo Ford was too wishy-washy at the end. It did give us some drama. But dang I was mad about it, lol.
I found this story really hard to get into. The beginning is mostly a massive info dump. It's a really slow burn, enemies to lovers. Fords character really annoyed me and left a lot to be desired. I enjoyed Tessa and the other side characters, though.
There's several things that didn't work for me personally throughout this book. One being, in the beginning, they both were left to babysit and teething infants, and they deemed that a perfect time to play a drinking game? Then, after Ford's makeover and their fake dating, Ford can't decide which woman he wants to bed. Literally leaves one hanging high and dry to run to Tessa, plays family for a day, and runs back. It was cringy.
I'm sure this story works for some, but I didn't enjoy it. Nothing against the author or her writing.... her writing style wasn't what bothered me it was the plot arc and character development. Sorry!
Well, the title says it all actually: Jennifer did save the best for last! After Chiara (Meant To Be) and Malia (So It Goes) found their happily ever after, Tessa is a bit envious. of course, she will deny that she wants a man of her own. But deep down, she feels she is missing something in her life. Her make-overs, part of the Quench emporium, don’t give her the satisfaction that they used to. Basically: Tessa is having an early midlife crisis.
When Chiara, Malia and Tessa decide to include sports into Quench, both Chiara and Malia push Tessa to take this on. Since Tessa knows nothing of sports, Chiara offers to ask Ryder’s friend Ford Maddox. Ford is a renowned sports broadcaster and a bit of a geek. Having met him at some social events at Chiara’s, something rubs Tessa the wrong way. So, grudingly she accepts Ford’s help.
Ford promised his friend that he would help out Quench. He didn’t realize he would be working with Tessa though.Tessa is a bit high maintenance in his opinion. A career driven elite woman, who doesn’t understand the emotions behind Sports. While working together, he learns that Tessa is great at make-overs.. So maybe she can help him with a make-over to get his colleague, Patricia, to finally notice him. Little does he know that Tessa’s make-overs don’t only mean a haircut and a new outfit.
During the transformation process, there is a wonderful slow burn romance budding. Jennifer does an outstanding job of showing how their first instant hate slowly morfs into something new. A wonderful story! Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Nogalley for providing the arc.
Save the Best for Last by Jennifer Probst might be one of my favorite Probst books. She writes lovely characters, emotional romance, and plots that actually make sense. Love her!
I loved this beautiful story. I loved the banter between the two main characters the best. This was a wonderful series.
Save the best for last is book 3 in a series and I recommend everyone to read the books in order.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own. Save the best for last follows Tessa a social media queen and a lover of selfcare and challenges. Her whole life is social media and growing her influence. So in order to stay relevant with content she decides to partner with Ford (arch-nemesis). Tessa and Ford cannot stand each other but there is a thin line between like and hate. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to everyone looking for angst and romance.
Thank you to Jennifer Probst and Valentinepr for the ARC to review.

Saved the Best for Last was awesome. I loved the tension between the characters. They truly disliked each other at the beginning and it was so fun to see the fall in love. I constantly wanted to throttled both characters. Their love was beautiful and their story was so sweet. I loved all the characters and puppies. The HEA was the sweetest and left me with a huge smile on my face.

⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
"Everything has beauty; but not everyone sees it."
Tessa Harper is a true spitfire who loves a challenge. She works as a makeover queen writing articles for the company magazine. Her most recent challenge is putting together a sports podcast, something she knows absolutely nothing about. Ford Maddox is a sportscaster. His most recent challenge is getting his co-worker Patricia to notice him. One night of babysitting answers all of the challenges. Placing Tessa and Maddox in the same room allows them each to solve the others' challenges. Can they help each other overcome their obstacles? Or will other obstacles form causing new challenges?
Save the Best for Last is the third installment in the Twist of Fate series. Although part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone without confusion. It does reference old characters but gives you enough introduction to follow along. Jennifer Probst is dubbed a “romance phenom” writing contemporary romance fiction. This is definitely a opposites attract, enemies to lovers novel full of love/hate relationships. Save the Best for Last was a hilarious, slow burn romance that had me literally laughing out loud with the banter between Maddox and Tessa. I loved the moments they shared at the Baseball stadium, especially when Tessa REALLY wanted that T-shirt! I can’t wait to read more from Jennifer Probst. Highly recommend this one!
