Liv has a dream of owning her own bakery, and doesn't need a man. This was a sweet but sad story. I loved the chemistry and the steamy scenes between the two of them.

Gina Gordon’s A Taste of Trouble is a fine character-driven book that moves the reader through the MCs’ disappointments and fears through career moves that are roller coaster rides, and finally into love that the reader sees coming but the characters have to be hit over the head to accept.

Liv’s life long passion is to be a pastry chef with her own bakery. When the opportunity to do exactly that comes her way, she is beset by every problem that could occur but in true heroine fashion she never gives up. Live just lifts her head and keeps on keeping on.

Jake’s life long passion is photography, as evidenced by an amazing picture he took of his grandparents’ hands when he was only seven years old. He is convinced that photography can only be his hobby and he must earn a living working for a man he doesn’t entirely trust.

Liv is working as a bartender when she meets Jake and it’s one of those meant to be moments. I loved how they worked through wanting only sex, then wanting something more, then disappointments set in and they have to either end it or move on.

There is a villain in the piece and that takes Liv out of her dream into reality as she has to overcome hurdles thrown her way by this wicked person. She also has to readjust her thinking about what kind of man her father was, and that’s a whole story unto itself.

This is a wonderful story that is hard to put down and enjoyable from beginning to end.

No rating or review. This didn't work out for me. Thank you for sending the book anyhow.
