Hmm.. Don't get me wrong I'm all about Freida's fast paced twisty reads, but this one might have been too over the top for me. To be fair, I just finished the Housemaid, which blew me away, so perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. Never Lie was a quick easy read, but the twists almost seemed too 'in it for the shock value' in this one. I'll certainly look forward to her next one.

I thought I had this one figured out from the beginning - I was thinking “man I’ve read too many of these books I’m starting to figure out the twist from the get go” and I was WRONG. Loved this one.

Wow! I really liked this. I wasn’t sure because the ratings were all over the place. The story immediately kicked off with suspense and mystery. Dual POV with past and present I was dying to see how it would end. I chose to listen to this book on audio and the narrator was really good. I highly suggest listening to the audiobook for this one. I began to suspect everyone and it took several turns. I was pleasantly surprised.

I just recently discovered Freida McFadden and I'm obsessed! Never Lie was such an amazing and suspenseful book, specifically the audio version and narrator. Her characters are complex and well developed, and with each book I think I have it figured out, until I don't! Highly recommended psychological thriller, I can't stop thinking about this story!
