I love Emily shiners books. This one in particular was very good. I enjoyed it a lot. It was a great thriller. It was definitely a reread for me.

This is the second book I have read by this author. I have also read 'The Caretaker' which I would highly recommend.

I was originally drawn to this book by its eye catching gorgeous cover and intriguing sounding synopsis and title. I am also a huge fan of Emily and of this is half as good as her 'The Caretaker' it is guaranteed to be a page turner!! I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Inkubator Books. I have yet to read a book published by Inkubator Books that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).

This novel consists of 42 chapters. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book is based in California, USA.

This book is written in first person perspective and the main protagonists are Collette and Amanda. The benefits of books written in first person perspective are as long as they are well written it makes you feel that you are being spoken to by the protagonist and it can create more of a bond between yourselves and them. If there are several protagonists you also get to see more of what is going on.

'I'm Following You' discusses some topics that may upset some readers or may not be suitable for others. I like to point this out ahead of time in my reviews so you can judge if this book is for you or not. In this book Emily discusses the loss of a child.

This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions that really set the scene and put you in the storyline. The cover and synopsis suit the book perfectly.

The storyline was captivating and addictive from the first page until the last and I was completely invested in it. It was absolutely rammed full of lies, deceit, tension, twists, suspense and everything you could ask for in a page turning psychological thriller. I just could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting. The atmosphere was perfect for the storyline that makes the hair on your arms stand on edge. It was extremely fast paced with something constantly happening to keep you addicted. Every time I kept telling myself one more chapter the one I was in ended at a point where there was no way I could stop reading so I absolutely devoured it in one sitting!! It was absolutely ram packed with mystery, secrets, tension, suspense and absolutely everything you could ask for in a psychological thriller. I absolutely love Emily's books and am guaranteed to be shocked every time I pick one up which is not an easy feat considering how many books I read a year so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Emily!!! One of the things I love about her books is that they can also be quite thought provoking and always end with MASSIVE BOMBSHELLS that I absolutely love and never do see coming. Emily's evocative writing drags you deep into the storyline from the first sentence to the very last and will keep you up until the very last word! I also love the fact that she includes a chapter or two from another of her books so my to be read list has always got a guaranteed page turner included!!! The ending of this specific book absolutely blew me away and I was just sitting there with my mouth wide open for ages before shouting out "What the actual ****!!!" and THAT ladies and gentleman is a true sign of an absolute must read. I've said it before about Emily's books and I shall say it again!! I would absolutely LOVE to see this turned into a movie and would wait up all night to get tickets to watch it!!

An intriguing and clever page turner about what happens when suspicion turns into obsession that will absolutely blow your mind with its explosive twist of an ending!!!

The characters were all realistic and strong and I was completely invested in them throughout. I love the fact that we got to see what was happening from both Collette and Amanda's points of view and to know why they were doing what they were and how each of them were feeling throughout. Emily weaves their chapters together with perfect timing until it all comes together with an explosive BANG!! This also really helps the reader understand them more making them more realistic to the reader. I had mixed feelings towards all of the characters and was suspicious of what the truth really was and what each of them had to gain by lying but I never did see that ending coming!!. There were times where I had a lot of sympathy for several of them and actually hoped things would work out and then others where I thought one of them in particular needed some serious psychological help. Unfortunately, I really can not say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. You will just have to pick up your copy to find out who is right, who was wrong and what happens to them all and trust me you will not regret it!!! Regardless of what I thought about who, each character worked perfectly to make this page turning psychological thriller!!!

Congratulations Emily on yet ANOTHER huge success. This is why you are in my favourite 5 authors list!! Here's to your next success 🥂!!

Overall an absolutely unputdownable, action packed, intriguing psychological thriller that will keep you up at night on the edge of your seat with a pounding heart!!

‘I’m Following You’ is one of those suspenseful and dark thriller reads that it’s difficult to put down. There are many good twists and it’s very atmospheric at times. I even had to put it down because it was too late at night and it was making me feel quite anxious - but that’s exactly what you want when you pick up a thriller.

I loved the different POVs and although I was sure I had it figured it out, I was wrong. I always have a problem with book ending, but this one was brilliantly executed!

Wow talk about a fast paced thriller with twists and turns that are completely unexpected! This book will grab you from the beginning and you wont be able to stop until the end. I like my thrillers to be full of twists and turns so I don't see what's coming and this is exactly what this book did!

We follow a doctor named Amanda who has the perfect life she happy lives in a nice neighborhood until someone follows her which turns into stalking. Then she tries to figure out what they could possibly want from her and why are they messing up her life. If you have been on the fence about this book read it ! you will not regret it. I will definitely read more from this author.

Collette
She is someone who is suffering from grief and guilt after the death of her sister. There were moments where she made good points about grief when she was talking in her grief group, and while the other members had good intentions, it does show just how hard it is to accept it and move on. I do feel bad about how the grief has affected her and just how severe that grief has consumed her.

Jackson
I really loved him as a character, especially with his comforting and supporting nature towards Collette. I loved him worrying over her and listening to her whenever she talked about her plans and her frustrations. And I just never knew how much of a character he was till I read on 👀

Amanda
She is the doctor being followed and at first i didn't know what to think about her, as in should I be on her side or not? But later on things do become clear 👀

Liked:
I absolutely loved the ending. It's my favorite thing about this book. I like the tension and anxiety inducing situations, there was many times where I had to stop reading because the situations where Collette or Amanda got themselves into was nerve-wracking, but I would always come right back because it kept me wanting to know what happened next and that's what I like in a book.

Disliked:
I'm not saying that there are not some flaws but personally there wasn't anything that I disliked or that really affected my enjoyment of the book.

Overall Thoughts:
I just got done reading this and I just have to say that I absolutely love this book, even when at some points I had to stop reading because it was making me so anxious yet it made me want to keep reading to find out what happens next. I tried to keep guessing how the book would end, it was nowhere close to what I thought, it was so much better and I didn't expect it. When I finished I just sat there for a while trying to take in what I just read. Honestly amazing. And I think the ending is why this book deserves 5 stars!

Recommendation:
You should definitely give this a read, personally, I think it's a fun and engaging book that you read while snuggled up in bed.
So if you like this genre and are debating whether to give this a read or not, just go for it. Even if it doesn't become your favorite book, I'm sure that it would be a fun read anyways.

Not a bad story…woman trying to avenge her sister’s death by drunk driver. I thought she was made to be overly easily manipulated and I could intuit the progression of the story.

This was such a face paced, quick thriller. I was hooked and absolutely loved the twist at the end. You will not be able to turn the pages fast enough.This was my first Emily Shiner book, but will definitely be adding more to my TBR.

Collette lost her sister after she was hit by a drunk driver. It was reported the lady who had hit her sister had died before the trial, but Collette doesn't believe she has actually died. She has convinced the women has changed her identity and is living without consequences. Collette then makes a friend in her grief support group who is on her side and encourages her to look for the woman who hit her sister.

Amanda, a highly respected oncologist, notices a red car following her one day on her way home. As she continues to see this red car she realizes she is being stalked. As time goes on Amanda starts to fear for her safety as the dealer's behavior gets increasingly more terrifying. As far as Amanda knows she doesn't have any enemies, so who is stalking her and what does she want?

This was a great twisty read. It starts off quickly and does t let up all the way through. So many red herrings that I was hooked and couldn’t stop until I finished it. Another brilliant book from this author. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Even though I figured out the connection half way through, it still was a sucker punch of fun and thrills! As always Shiner reels you in with the utmost tantalizing bait & takes control until you're in too deep to get out (not that you want to!) It was absolutely thrilling and full of suspense that leaves you wanting more like another piece of dessert even though you're more stuffed than a Christmas Turkey. The characters keep you on your toes and Shiner delivers the ending with such a finessed punch you're left breathless. Believe me, my darlings, this gem is one to be devoured like your favourite guilty drink. You won't be disappointed with Shiner's incredible wicked plot she twists & finagles. A fast-paced easily delivered scrumptious dumpling!

This book was dark and suspenseful. I figured out the plot twist about midway through but that didn't make the journey any less fun! Loved it!

This is the second Emily Shiner book I've read now and it was another amazing read!
Throughout the book, I felt like I was trapped in some kind of limbo where the two main characters were on either side and although I knew lots about both of them, I didn't know how they were really linked or how it was going to end.
I liked the back and forth almost cat and mouse writing style. I could really tell both women were getting more and more desperate as time went on and I think the ending was really good. I actually think the last chapter, although brilliant, didn't have to be put in - could even have been a secret chapter - as it was so well executed. The title of the book also just clicked into place after reading this final chapter, I was just thinking it was about Colette but I loved that lightbulb moment for me.

Emily Shine does it yet again. She has written a cliff hanger of a story with mystery and thrills all through the book. definitely recommend.

An addicting read that is very hard to put down! It’s a darker thrilling read for sure but you’ll need to know what happens!

This is the story of Collette. She is devastated when her sister is killed in a car accident. Collette feels guilty because Her sister wanted to stay the night but she sent her home because she had arranged to meet up with a man. Colette reads that the woman who killed her sister is dead as she could not live with herself. Colette doesn’t believe it and thinks she spots her. Colette is determined to get her revenge.

This was a fast paced thriller but you have to leave any realism behind to get any enjoyment out of this book. There are too many coincidences and too much that would never happen in real life. I enjoyed it for what it was, a fast paced unrealistic thriller.

Wow!!! This book was excellent with one character i loved and one I loved to hate!!! It steadily built up tension throughout to an absolutely jaw dropping ending that i never in a million years would have guessed this book was excellent and I highly recommend it!!!

I'm Following You by Emily Shiner was great psychological thriller. It was a quick read that was fast paced and a great page turner from start to finish. with great characters and plot and with a fantastic ending especially as I didn't see that happening!

This was a great book. The plot seemed to be familiar from other books but the author twisted it up towards the end. I knew something was coming but I wasn't sure what. I would definitely recommend this book and I will be following this author in the future.

I liked the story line and I enjoyed the book. I have to say that I just kept thinking to myself nobody really thinks like this. Although grief can make you do some unexpected things some of the behavior of Collette and Amanda was just unrealistic especially Collette. The ending made it all worthwhile.
