This was a pretty quick read. I had the ending pegged early on, but it was still a good story. Well written and engaging!
Huge thanks to Inkubator Books and Netgalley for sending me this ARC for review! All of my reviews are given honestly!
Emily Shiner is a popular, prolific psychological thriller writer and here is another one! I’m Following You, seems short, perfect for a holiday plane ride. A bereaved woman, having lost her sister to a drunk driver, is fixated on a doctor who she thinks is the driver but now living under a different name. Notwithstanding that the actually driver killed herself before the trial. The drivers death was confirmed but not accepted in the haze of grief. Vengeance is planned, and everything is rather silly. As the reader, surely we are not supposed to believe the doctor is the killer, makes no sense. Still, when the final interaction occurs there is a sweeping, satisfying surprise twist.
“I’m Following You” by Emily Shiner is a fast paced psychological thriller. When Colette’s sister is killed by a drunk driver, she sets out to get revenge on the person who did this. The only problem is that the person who did this is dead. Or is she?
What it got right: I loved the short chapters. This book was definitely a page turner and enjoyable to read. I had so many guesses as to what the ending may be, but I was still surprised when reading it.
I also found this book to be accurate in terms of all the therapy and medical scenes written. It’s totally possible for a patient’s chart to get lost in translation between doctors. Some offices aren’t the best in terms of communication so I’ve seen this happen first hand. In terms of grief, it could definitely make you believe in things that aren’t there to justify a behavior. It’s frustrating that Colette seems to blame so many other people for her sister’s death, except for herself. However frustrating it is, this can be what some people experience.
What it could improve on: The one larger plot hole I found was that Amanda didn’t take down a license plate number in the beginning. I know it mentioned she wasn’t good with numbers but even the first few characters of a plate would have solved a lot of problems. The other thing that bothered me was that she didn’t try to install a camera of any kind at her house.
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC of this book!
A good read that kept me involved in the storyline with interesting characters. For me, personally, it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat but I thoroughly enjoyed it and can recommend.

A worthy 5 stars.
Mmm mmm I kind of went back and forth on this one?! It was a good read, it had light suspense, action, murder, mystery and a weird who done it! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! The ending was definitely a bit of a shock! It wasn't one of my all time favorite but it was still good! I will recommend reading this book as it was worth reading! its definitely a decent read! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Amanda is a respected doctor with a lovely home, but things go wrong for her when a stalker begins to follow her and try to ruin her life. What she doesn't know is that Collette wants revenge for what happened to her sister... but has she got the right person? What follows is a tense and thrilling journey that will end with secrets and shocks. A brilliant page turner with brilliant twists. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.
This is one if those books that gives you exactly what it promises, a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing til the end! It's so well written that it just flows and drags you aling for the ride. Its a really original concept and I didn't at any point feel like I was reading a slightly different version of a million other thrillers. The characters are well developed enough that you do care what happens and become engrossed in the story. It's a super quick read but one that I highly enjoyed.

I really enjoyed this book overall and it kept me entertained! I was very surprised with the ending as well, so if you like plot twists...
4/5 stars.
Thank you NetGalley, Inkubator Books and Emily Shiner for letting me read this in advance!
I'm Following You by Emily Shiner is an engagingly tense psychological thriller fuelled by an unyielding need for revenge, and I devoured it in a single afternoon. If you are unfamiliar with Ms Shiner's work, add it to your TBR immediately.
Amanda is a highly respected oncologist who one day realizes that she is being stalked by someone in a red car. Unaware of the driver's motivations, she fears for her own safety as the female driver continues to increase the intensity of her intimidating behaviour. Trust me when I say that you will be unable to turn the pages quickly enough as this diabolical cat and mouse game reaches its explosive and shocking conclusion. 4.5 stars
