This book was incredibly charming and great for the Winter season, even as we come into the new year I will be recommending this book.
4 stars out of 5 stars
This is a lovely short book, that feels a bit like a Hallmark movie.
It's not a particularly long book but that's fine, it made sure that way it didn't become drawn-out or boring. The characters already knew each other, already had a bit of a romance beforehand that ended through other obligations and secrets. This book is mostly about how they got a second chance at love and rediscovering each other, without the secrets in the way.
I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"Her Winter Prince" tells the story of a "second chance at love." Anton and Cathryn experienced a love of a lifetime when they were in school, promising to stay together. That love ended abruptly when Anton phoned Cat to break off the relationship. Fast forward five years, as Cat flies to spend Christmas with her family in London and becomes snowbound in the small country of Monteval. Imagine her surprise to collide with Anton in the airport, and her astonishing discovery that he is the Crown Prince of Monteval! Determined to renew their friendship, Cat and Anton navigate the twists and turns of fate, and almost lose each other again in the plan.
This is a sweet romantic novel, with a little bit of spice, and a story sure to tug at the heartstrings of readers. Those interested in a fairy tale romance will enjoy the ups and downs of Cat and Anton in love, amidst the constraints of royal obligation.
I received this novel from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
This was a sweet hallmarky love story with two characters who love each other but who have been separated by his obligations and the secrets he keeps. Until he runs into her at the airport and her flight gets cancelled and he brings her home to his freaking castle.
This is a novella but I really can see it as a Holiday movie. It was a fast read and very fun and sweet and romantic. No real surprises and everything is very coincidental shall we say. Its a fun and light read and I enjoyed it.
A truly beautiful feel good second chance romance story, a story to warm the heart of every romantic. Well written and good characterisation.
I adored this story! it gives me hallmark movie vibes and really fit the bill for what I have been looking for in a cosy festive story
I adored the characters and the fact that this is a second chance romance.
What more do you need!? Since this is a novella, I won't talk about the book too much and just please give it a go if you like cheesy romance books because you will not regret it!
Such a cute Christmassy reading! Not gonna lie, I shed a few tears..
Loved the way the author brought grief and pain, and let's say a bit of karma ( its mean but, I kinda liked it). The writing was fluid and the characters relatable, especially Anton.. super recommend.
It got me interested in more.

Thank you NetGalley and Felicity Collins for this wonderful ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Her Winter Prince is the Christmasy Hallmark book you need to read this season. A swoon worthy Prince and a stunning artist take a chance at a second go around of love. With Cathryn be able to look past Anton’s past and fall in love with her Prince?
Things I LOVED:
-plot
-Anton
-culture
-second chance romance
This novella was their perfect book to get me in the holiday mood. I absolutely loved the premise and the overall plot of the novel. While a good portion of it is predictable, I was still entranced by the craft of storytelling that Collins uses throughout this story.
I especially loved Anton. Can we talk about a dream boat? Hubah Hubah. 😍 Anton is the perfect gentleman. After their break up, he can only think of her, and even accepts that he will marry someone who he does not love because it isn’t Cathryn. Throughout the story, Anton struggles internally with sharing his emotions and the tradition that his family carries.
I love the European background this story is set up in. The strong tradition and emphasis on royalty really helped suspend my disbelief!
Second chance romance is becoming a new favorite trope of mine 😍
Things that need work:
-babbling
-occasional repetitive events
Honestly, the only reason why this isn’t a five star for me is the babbling that happens in some passages in the novella. Overall, the author does a great job balancing background info with dialogue but sometimes I was looking for more speaking portions between the characters.
Overall, this book had me enthralled and fully engaged in the story of Cat and Anton. I would absolutely recommend this story to any reader who is looking for something short, sweet, and familiar during the holiday season! Cheers🤍
This was an amazing story. I loved it. I loved the chemistry between her and Anton. She was mad at him for leaving her when they used to date and she thought he didnt like her so the opening story starts where shes going to the airport to go to see her family but the plane has to cancel over head because of bad weather for a couple of days they tell her that she has to get a hotel. But then when she's about to go she sees her Ex Anton the guy she was so mad at and was going to tell him she would one day tell him off but then she freezes. She finds out a secret hes been hiding that hes a prince and she cant believe her ears thinks he's making it up till he invites her to his castle and he sees what he really does his family is really royal. The whole time he kept the secret basically its like they always loved one an other even though there was the abrupt breaking up over the phone he did and eventually tells her why he broke up with her he needed to take the place of his brother who died tragically and be the Prince of Monteville and he feels like he doesn't need to take the role because it was his brother's thing since he died and feels guilty. She tries to tell him he is worth it and it's okay. I feel like the plane having that whole thing where it wasn't allowed to fly it was meant to be so she can see the boy that got away and they can reconnect again.
They end up falling in love towards the end and I loved how he put everything aside to go see her back with her family as she tells him thank you for showing me the castle and the sleigh ride and everything he did for her and giving her the necklace. He goes to her family home takes the plane after reading her letter and basically there is a prologue they get married and its a beautiful wedding I can imagine what it looks like in my mind. I loved them together. Such a beautiful story thank you for letting me read this story.
This arc was given to me for free and 100% opinion is my own.
