Strawberry lane book
Fiction book

The book starts off with one story by telling us of a man named Jackson Landry. He was a lawyer but felt like he was wearing someone else’s clothes when he was called a lawyer. His dad gave him every crazy person in the valley to deal with. This is how it was stated in the book. Jackson had taken over his father’s practice two months ago. unfortunately, Jackson’s first client passed away. Unfortunately, he never got a chance to pay Jackson for his services.

The second story is about a nurse who helped all kinds of people, good ones and the not so good ones, as she called them sinners. The nurses name was called Ona-May. She overlooked peoples shortcomings because she had quite a few her self.
She would sometimes steal and curse when she was frustrated.

Another story is about a man named Rusty who had parents that didn’t take care of him when he was a child at all. They both were never sober, and left him all alone to fend for himself. He became a drunk as well when he was older.

As usual, it's again a pleasure to come back to Home Creek a few years after the previous book, because we will meet Pecos (now father of 2 girls) from the 2nd book. What's a shame is that we don't have news from the other people, met before.
I really fell for Rusty and Jackson, the 2 heros from this book.
It's so sweet to be in a town full of nice personns, slow burn loves coming.
If you appreciate small town romane, don't hesitate !

I couldn't put this book down. Captivated me from the start.
The characters were great - like old friends I kept rooting for. The plot had it all - friendship, family, action, starting over, and of course romance. The story reminds us that while some family is related by blood, a lot of who we consider our family is not!
Yes there is a slight cliff hanger, as the author gets us excited for the second book, which I am looking forward to.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was fine. Starri was orphaned when her parents died in a car accident in Honey Creek, a small town in Texas. One day, Rusty, a man with a difficult childhood, has an accident in the exact same spot. They save each other.

I enjoyed the found family elements of this a lot, and it had little touches of humour which I enjoyed too. In the end though, I couldn’t quite warm up to the characters as much as I wanted to, something was missing for me. But it’s a nice small town romance if you’re looking for one.

There is so much going on in, Strawberry Lane. At one point I thought I could use a chart to keep everyone straight. It definingly kept my attention. I hope that there will be a sequel so we can read about the other two siblings that are not found in this book.

This is a heartwarming story about several people who thought they’d never find family to love and receive love in return. The characters and the settings are all well described and realistic. This is the first book in a new series by this author and I am looking forward to reading the next installments to find out more about these people and their lives. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley for this title.

Another great small-town romance, big on the connections by fate, gentle on the bedroom scenes.

Starri Knight a believer in fate. Rusty O'Sullivan is a loner who has seen the poorer side of Honey Creek. When an accident near Star's home lands Rusty in the hospital, fate throws these two lost souls together. Starri is looking for someone to love, while Rusty needs someone to make him feel less alone. And as Rusty recovers from his accident, he also has to take care of his inheritance from a father that includes a found family.

Once again, a truly warm and cozy journey into the world of Honey Creek and Someday Valley. It's a place I never tire of traveling to.

"Having family is one thing, but learning to love them is another."
The above line couldn't be summarised more perfectly. A heartwarming tale of brotherhood and kinship. The relations and the dynamics were portrayed beautifully and I loved the whole concept which brought the story together.

Jodi Thomas remains a fan favorite and while her books can be a hot or miss for me, I do feel a sense of comfort from reading her books. This book about finding new beginning in the wake of tragedy was sweet and a good introduction to a new series. I genuinely loved the character of Rusty and how he started building a family. Rusty was an easy character to like and relate to. I look forward to seeing his family dynamic expand.

I voluntarily read this book and the views and opinions are all my own.

Strawberry Lane by Jodi Thomas is the first book in the Someday Valley Series, but it is still set in Honey Creek. What a sweet, entertaining romance story. Such a quirky lot of characters who despite all their differences find love with the oddest partners. Somehow they make it work. I really loved Rusty as he reminded me of one of my best friends I grew up with. Brought back many good memories of him. This is such a feel good story. It makes you realize you don’t always know what is going on with someone, it may be way different than it looks on the outside. You should always give someone a chance and not just judge them by their first appearance. This book will warm your heart and make you smile. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books a free copy of this ebook.

I love Jodi Thomas books. This one was a new series about how the people in a small town work together. I love how the lawyer brings the two brothers together. The brothers form a bond and they have the towns support when trouble comes to town to harm the younger brother. I love the romance in this book too! It is always hard when a good book ends but I look forward to the next one in this series.

Strawberry Lane is another great book by Jodi Thomas. There are many appealing well-rounded characters in this book. The main characters, Rusty, Starri, Jackson, and Amber, develop in unexpected ways. And the peripheral characters are mentioned but remain mysterious. The plot twists are quirky and are sometimes full of action, and sometimes contemplative. The settings are diverse and unusual. Altogether this an excellent set-up for a new series. Thomas, a highly skilled story-teller, does a particularly good job of creating and sustaining series in interesting ways, as evidenced by her Harmony and Ransom Canyon series. I look for ward to the next book in the Honey-Creek series and strongly recommend it for readers who love a good tale.

The cover of this book immediately drew my attention. It's so sweet!
I really enjoyed this book! It followed the story of Rusty, a 32 year old man who has lived a fairly solitude/lonely life on the outskirts of town. Throughout the book that changes. At the start of the book I wasn't sure about Rusty, he seemed like a grump but mid-way through you begin to love him and you also fall in love with other members of the small town.
I'm going to buy the physical copy of this book, I loved it that much!
I've also added Jodi Thomas' 'Honey Creek' series to my new year TBR. I can't wait to get started!

A heartwarming story about family found, new beginnings, new love and more! There is more than one story unveiled throughout the book.

Rusty isn’t the bad boy people think he is. After he’s pulled from the wreck of his vehicle, he meets Starri, who becomes like a sister to him, a lawyer trying to give him an inheritance he wants nothing to do with from the father he never knew, Amber, who becomes someone special in his life, and Zach, a stranger in town who turns out to be more.

I look forward to more books in this series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've fallen in love with reading Jodi Thomas's Honey Creek series, not only for the unexpected romances, but also the intrigue and action. Ms. Thomas reaches a great balance of the three. And there are always messages that I receive from her books. This one was to go after what you want before it is too late. I don't typically like just romance books, so I'm always pleased to find an author who goes beyond the romance like Ms. Thomas does. I love most of the characters that Ms. Thomas has created. The ones I don't like are the ones I don't think anyone would like, like Vern for example. I recommend this book and the series to people who like more than romance in their books. This book, along with the rest of the series, will keep you turning the pages and wanting to know what happens next!
