Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of The Innocent Wife by Lisa Regan that I read and reviewed.
This is the 16 book in the Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan and in this book Josie and her team have to figure out who has it out for TV personality Beau Collins and is killing the people in his life in a high priced game to uncover his lies to prove he is not what he wants the world to see.
I can honestly say that I wanted to take a shower after reading this book because the people in this book were all so full of shall we say crap you had no idea who was telling the truth and who had something do hide. The only people you only did not have to second guess it almost felt like was Josie and her team and at time they were getting testy with each other too.
This book was a great read but like Regan really had a lot of characters that were pieces of work in this book and I really wanted them all thrown in jail just because you did not know if they had any moral compasses.
The Innocent Wife get five out of five stars from me.

A famous TV couple seems to be the perfect couple, happy, and fabulous. Then, one night she is found murdered at home, and he finds her there. After this an assistant is found murdered. Turns out this is a complicated case for Josie and her team. The deeper they dig into the lives of the TV couple and the crew around them, the more secrets are revealed.

A great add to the series! I especially enjoyed how the author keeps on peeling layer after layer showing the reader the skills and depths of her writing. It was enjoyable reading about the TV crew members and their complicated relationships. It is like they live on an island of their own. great story, skillful writing!

Claudia and Beau Collins are marriage counselors & relationship gurus with a highly successful TV show, soon to go national, best selling relationship book, and podcast. For their 15th wedding anniversary, they are planning to televise their romantic dinner, but when Beau and the crew show up at the Collins' house, they find Claudia brutally murdered. The killer has left behind a prop and what seems to be a threat that he isn't done. Denton police detective Josie Quinn and her colleagues sift through clues and lies in their race to find the killer. Although I'd previously only read the first book in this series (I really need to catch up!), I had no problem connecting with the characters. The book is well written and the plot is twisty and clever.

Whew! I need some oxygen after reading this marathon of a book! Lisa Regan is definitely a master storyteller. The Josie Quinn series just keeps getting better with every book. If you enjoy a book that will keep you guessing until the very end, you will enjoy this book and this entire series. I do not believe I have ever seen an author like Lisa Regan that can thoroughly shock me to my core with her mysterious endings that you will never see coming. I very rarely "solve" her mysteries until she reveals the true culprit. This book was no exception. If you like a book that will keep you guessing, this one is for you.

Claudia and Beau Collins are authors and television hosts who give advice on marriage. Their fans adore them and idolize them. They also want to have the perfect marriage just like Claudia and Beau. Their marriage appears so perfect in every way. However, I guess like any good "reality hosts", they both have their secrets, and the public persona does not match the real relationship. When Beau arrives home to celebrate his 15th wedding anniversary with his beloved bride (of course the celebration is to be televised), he finds her dead body sitting at their dining room table with a small wooden puzzle box in her lap. Detective Josie Quinn knows there has to be significance with the box. As she starts putting her own puzzle together, the pieces do not fit. When another woman dies who was part of the team of Claudia and Beau, things start getting a little heated. The plot and mystery go full steam ahead after this discovery, and then it is a race against time for Josie and company to find the killer or figure out who the next victim may be. I have read so many of these books that I feel as if I know Josie Quinn, Noah and company. Josie Quinn is definitely my hero. She is fearless and ready to attack to save the life of another human being at any time. She has fought her own demons and won. Even if you have never read any of the previous books, Lisa Regan refers back to the past enough in this book so that you will know how each character arrived where they are today.

There is unlimited suspense, intrigue and mystery with a shocking and twisted ending that you will never see coming. Be ready for the jaw drop! Once again Lisa Regan has written a masterpiece for those of us who love a good mystery/police procedural. Hang on tight once you start reading because it will suck you in immediately!

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I have enjoyed previous books in the Josie Quinn series, but this one is not my favourite. I felt it lacked in pace and suspense. The characters, especially Beau, were unbelievable and lacking in depth. The plot had good promise but failed to live up to my expectations from the author and overall, I was left feeling disappointed. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

This story reminded me of part of the quote, " It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." There are so many twists and turns and secrets revealed that it is both exhausting and compelling to read. Josie and Noah are having to deal with the past when Luke comes back with his search and rescue dog Blue. Add in a murder that has a riddle with secrets to be revealed followed by a penalty of more murders for not solving them quickly enough, grabs your attention quickly. So many characters seem good, but aren't after secrets and lies are exposed. Definitely keeps you guessing how things all fit together until the very end.

Another great Detective Josie Quinn book. The Innocent Wife is the 16th in the series and they just keep getting better. You could read this as a stand-alone but why would you when the whole series is so good. A well known couple are getting ready to celebrate their anniversary when the wife is murdered. Lots of twists and turns and a surprising ending. I highly recommend this book and series.

The Innocent Wife (Detective Josie Quinn Book 16) by Lisa Regan A compelling mystery with an intense storyline. I did not expect the twist at the end. Very good addition to the Josie Quinn Series, #16 and Josie and her team are still going strong.
Always look forward to an addition to Ms Regan's series.

Thank you to the author, Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book

Josie and her team have a high-profile case on their hands – a wealthy and beloved therapist and TV personality was found murdered in her home on the night of her wedding anniversary. The killer staged the scene with the victim, Claudia, sitting at the dinner table holding a prop from her and her husband’s popular television show. Clearly, they are making a statement about the couple’s marriage. But her husband, Beau, swears that they were as happy and in love in real life as they portrayed themselves to be in the media.

Just as Josie and her team get started on the investigation, another body is found. And again, the victim is tied into Claudia and Beau. Now the team doesn’t know whether to suspect or protect Beau. They interview everyone connected with their TV show and soon find more questions than answers about the couple. But they better find the answers fast because these aren’t the only victims Josie and her team find. Everyone is feeling the pressure to locate the perpetrator because it doesn’t seem like anyone is safe. But to do that, they need the truth about Beau, Claudia, and their marriage therapy empire. But exposing the truth would reveal a life built on lies. And how many liars feel any moral obligations? Josie and her team are counting on at least one; otherwise, there will be no justice for any of the victims.

This was another great book in the Detective Josie Quinn Series. Whether you have read the previous stories or not, you will enjoy the fast pace and clever little twists throughout. But if you haven’t read any other books in the series, I would ask what is wrong with you because these books are amazing and you are totally missing out! I don’t know how the author keeps the characters and plots so fresh after so many books but she does it every time.

Another great read in this brilliant crime series.
Josie is called to investigate the death of a woman who was meant to be celebrating her wedding anniversary. Instead she is found dead and as her home is regularly filmed for tv, there’s lots of people to interview.
Her husband is devastated but as the investigation gets under way it’s clear he has more than one secret that he’s trying to hide.
Another woman close to the couple is soon found dead and it seems the killer is playing some kind of game with them.
This is a gripping crime thriller that will have you racing through the pages right up to the nail biting ending.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Lisa Regan strays from that murder and missing girl trope (whew!) and takes a unique spin on that woman in trouble because of a man trope in this cat-and-mouse game for revenge.

Beau and Claudia Collins were idolized for being the perfect couple, but like all couples, they have their dark secrets. Josie is called to the scene of Claudia's murder and races as bodies fall to discover the secrets to this perfect marriage as a game begins between Beau and a killer.

There is a reason Lisa Regan's Detective Josie Quinn's books to the series have ratings over four stars here on GRs and is a loved series. She has devoted readers who keep on reading this series; that should be enough right there!!

So if you jump in on this series at book 16 or less, you have yet to learn why it is so loved. For that reason, I suggest reading a few earlier books to appreciate the characters and see why they are loved so much. You don't need to read them, that is a lot of books, but you do need to read more than the first two because Josie starts off as one prickly character and doesn't really set a good tone for the series. By book 3, you should be hooked.

In my blog post, I have suggested which books are a must-read to appreciate the characters, which ones you could skip, and what other ones you could start with.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the second time I've tried Lisa Regan, and I've come to the conclusion that her books aren't for me, which is a shame because I'm a huge police procedural fan. I had the same qualms with #16 as I did with #14. I can see why she had such a large fanbase and if you're a fan of this author, please ignore my review LOL

A twisty and fast paced read. Secrets and lies abound, and a killer playing a game made for an entertaining read. Having a character from Josie's past reappear was an interesting development. I really like Josie and her team and I'm looking forward to what's next.
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

Another visit to Denton in this the 16th book in the Josie Quinn series
The main plot concentrates on the murder and its aftermath of Claudia Collins. Claudia is part of a local celebrity couple whose perfect life and relationship is not all that it seems. There is a lot going on here as the case progresses at breakneck speed what lots of surprising twists. The subplot is quiet, apart that is for the return of a former character, and I kinda missed that this time.
This reads perfectly well as a standalone but for a fuller experience I’d urge you to read the series in order.

Another enthralling Detective Jose Quinn mystery. This is the sixteenth in the series, and as I said after the fifteenth, they just keep getting better.

Claudia and Beau Collins are a popular local TV couple in Denton, PA. whose show is all about marital relations. When Claudia is found murdered the night of their fifteenth wedding anniversary party (which, of course, they were going to film), the scene is set for more murder, secrets, lies, and game playing, all to be investigated by Denton’s Josie Quinn and her team.

I really like the Josie Quinn series and typically stay up late to finish each one I read because I can’t put them down! Josie has had a difficult life but she is a strong, competent female protagonist who remains caring and upbeat despite the adversities she has experienced. She is surrounded by a supportive team including her husband Lt. Noah Fraley and other repeating characters.

If you like well written, character driven, fast paced police procedurals/thrillers, and are not familiar with author Lisa Regan, I recommend this series. I can’t wait for the next one!

The Innocent Wife can work as a standalone, but I encourage those new to this series to go back and read some of the prior ones.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read’The Innocent Wife’, book 16 in the Detective Josie Quinn series written by Lisa Regan, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Detective Josie Quinn and her husband Lieutenant Noah Fraley of Denton Police Department are called to the home of famous TV marriage therapists Claudia and Beau Collins where they find the body of Claudia holding a small puzzle box. As they dig deeper into her life they find themselves entrenched in a web of secrets and lies as they realise that the killer has to be part of Claudia and Beau’s close circle of friends and colleagues. When the clue in the puzzle box leads them to another body Josie needs to act quickly before there are any more victims.

‘The Innocent Wife’ is a rollercoaster of a thriller with a well-written and convoluted plot as Josie struggles to get honest answers to her questions. Although the sixteenth in the series, the story is as involving as the first and just as gripping, with twists and turns that have kept me in a spin not knowing when the killer was going to strike again. This is a thoroughly enjoyable thriller with perfectly described characters I’ve grown to admire, and such a complex plot that I couldn’t even begin to identify the person responsible. This story has had me hooked from page one and I can definitely recommend it to all readers who love losing themselves in a thriller.

Fabulous book in the series and I am a huge fan of this Author. I await each new book with much excitement. A celebrity couple, gruesome murders, a lying, cheating husband. What more could you want? I never guessed who the killer was. Read this series or if you can’t at least read this book. I highly recommend it. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

Claudia and Beau are a couple of love gurus that have their own show and books out. They have made the wrong person mad with their secrets and lies and Claudia winds up murdered.
Detective Josie Quinn investigates this case with the help of her husband Noah and ex-fiancé Luke. This is the 16th book in the series and was a very suspenseful read. This book will be released December 12th. Thanks NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

Josie Quinn is one of my favorite detectives and book 12 in the series is a really solid outing. Josie and her husband Noah are on a murder investigation revolving around a charismatic tv couple, therapists who both have secrets. An intense and ever evolving story where you can’t figure out who in the immediate circle is responsible and more importantly, why. A sold four stats.
