The Snow Cat Prince is a cute, fun adventure story based in myth and legends. A lone snow cat kitten must take the journey to find the legendary crown and save the kingdom, fighting off clever and sly foxes along the way, and making friends he never expected. But maybe some of the things he thought he knew about the world weren’t as true as he thought. Perfect for all ages.
The artwork for this graphic novel is stunning! I enjoyed reading this. The story is so cute! I will be sharing this story with my daughter. She will really enjoy it too!

I have been entirely enchanted by graphic novels over the last year and I make no apologies for it.
This book had SUCH CUTE ART.
The kitten prince is adorable and he sets out on a quest set to him by his older brothers, who hope that he will fail. A heartwarming story about knowing where we come form and our past.
Syv is the youngest snowcat prince in his family. His six brothers are jealous of him because the people like him. They are afraid they will make him king, so they send Syv on a quest to find a lost relic from their ancestor. However, he must be careful not to "betray the snowcat honor" and get three stripes on his back, or he can never return home. Syv is joined by a young human girl named Kit. He learns more about his world and his history on the journey.
Beautiful artwork wrapped around a stunning story of magical folklore in a mystical forest ~ what more could you ask? Giving the ultimate cozy!
Loved watching Dina Norlunds journey of making this over on YouTube, incredible to experience the finish project ♡
The cover caught my eye, I love cats, big or small, real or fantasy. So when I saw this cover I knew I would fall in love. The drawings/artstyle is gorgeous and so is the coloring. The story is predictable but very cute and has an underlying meaning in it. Wich, since this is in my eyes a children's story, means kids can learn something out of it. The fact that the legend gets told to a kid whom then learns the truth and thinks that he should tell the qhole truth just shows that there are always two sides of a story and that you can't just believe everything, even when it comes from the people you love
I'm a fan.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the chance to read an early copy of this book. A review will be posted on my instagram @raisabooksandtea in the following two weeks (January 2023).
This book has some of the most beautiful, vibrant and inventive illustrations I have ever seen. The story itself was also beautiful, with a simple message: To be kind, to be courageous and to seek truth because there are always two sides to a story.
In this story, Syv, the seventh and youngest snowcat prince is on a quest to find the crown of the first Eldking, the protecter of all horizons against the evil sand foxes. But as he sets out on his quest he befriends a mysterious human girl named Kit and soon realises not everything is as it seems.
There is also some lovely bonus artwork as well as content at the end of the book that shows some early designs for the snowcats and the sand foxes and some information on the world building and the lore surrounding the centre of story.
This was such a lovely and heartwarming tale, I would highly recommend.
The power of kindness can conquer all!
Gorgeous art, cute characters (especially Syv), and plot twists!
The story follows the youngest snowcat prince, Syv on his journey towards the king's crown. He met different happenings and the real history.
It's a cute and quick read. There are many wonders, especially at the end of the book.
Thank you so much, NetGalley and Oni Press, for this wonderful ebook.

Oh! My! Goooooooodness!!!!! The artwork for The Snowcat Prince is AMAZING!!!! I knew from the cover that I would fall in love with it and I was completely right.
A young snowcat sets out on an adventure after being fooled into it by his older siblings. They “found” a map that led to the Eldking’s Crown of legend, when they just wanted one less person to feed. On his journey, young prince Syv meets a human girl named Kit who he befriends. She offers to join him and the two set off together.
While the graphic novel is geared toward a younger demographic, the artwork draws you in and the story is beautiful, so it kept my attention the entire time. It’s filled with mystery, intrigue and deceit, which really lends to a really well written book.
As a big fan of Dina Norlund I was excited to see the finished version of The Snowcat Prince and I am so happy that it will be a printed book soon.
The story and the drawings are so beautiful and I love how its inspired by Norway.
The characters are super expressive and lovable and the world is full of magic. Everyone who enjoys fantastic worlds, animals and comic or graphic novels should give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you Oni Press and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this fabulous book. I really enjoyed this fast pases story. Breathtaking illustrations and vivid colors really enhance the book and the story. One can learn so much more from the characters’ body language. Highly recommend!
The cover art drew me in the moment I saw it! It had a Lisa Frank meets Inuyasha look to it that made me need to read it! The story is wonderfully illustrated throughout with eye catching colors and wonderful detail given to every character and scenery around them. The whole story gives you a magical feel the whole way through. Our main character Syv is the youngest prince of the snowcats and gets tricked into an adventure to go find the Eldking’s crown. Along his way he finds friends and learns a lot about himself and the history of his kind! This story has the feeling of legends of old with a new and unique twist with characters that are adorable and interesting! For anyone who is a fan of fairy tales or the like this one is for you!
Algo lindo y tranqui para pasar el rato.
Si bien me hubiese gustado que la trama sea más extensa, esta novela te entretiene y te hace conocer bastante bien a los personajes. Odio a los hermanos del protagonista tbh.
Syv is the seventh snow cat Prince. We start this book with a story of the eldking who used to rule over the land. But the eldking has been missing for a long time. When syvs father passes away, a new king must take his place maybe not an eldking but a new king. The kingdom that he lives in is poor and the people are untrusting of the big cats who just want their gold. Syvs too nice to the people in the community so his six brothers come up with a way to make him disappear. However, syv is more than what people think he is. He befriends a little girl, who turns out to be more than he ever expected. He goes on a wild and grand adventure to find the crown of the eldking and hopefully help his people. I certainly enjoyed the story even though parts of it feels a rushed. There is a big build up and then the ending is anticlimactic and very swift in coming. The artwork is amazing. It’s quite beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This book really makes me think about the old, sci-fi, animated movies that I grew up loving. Movies like the secrets of Nima, the animated Lord of the rings, and other things like that. I would love to see this transformed into a animated movie in the same art style that it has with a few changes to the story, but not many. Overall, this is a fantastic fantasy graphic story that while Maybe not, popular will have the ability to live on for many years if the right nerves get a hold of it.
Syv is sent on a fool's errand by his brothers to retrieve their ancestor king's missing crown from the evil foxes who stole it and cursed his family. But the truth isn't as simple as it first appears, and Syv's journey leads him to question everything he's ever known.
The artwork is very pretty. I love the long, snake-like bodies of the foxes, and I cannot stand how cute Syv is. He's ADORABLE.
The characters are somewhat trite, and the story is very predictable, but overall it is a very enjoyable piece.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This was so adorable. I know the author of this book from her Youtube, where she has lots of drawing and painting stuff and she also posted early design videos for the Snowcat Prince. So I know of this book for a long time and I'm so happy to finally get to read it!
I was mainly there for the art, but Dina Norlund is an amazing storyteller as well. The book has a lot of adventure, friendship, mystery and magic. It's cute and exciting and has twists and turns along the way. I loved the characters a lot.
This is truly one of my favorite graphic novel that I read so far and I can't recommend it enough.
Thank you to Oni Press and NetGalley for the digital ARC!
I really enjoyed reading this book. The illustrations were beautiful and very imaginative. I loved the design for the protagonist, Syv, and I really liked how the foxes were designed like hybrids between foxes and dragons.
The story was also a good take on the hero's quest, with Syv going on a journey to find the crown of the snowcats' lost Eldking. Syv is a very likeable character who only wants to help those around him. I also liked the girl who Syv befriends on his quest and their relationship.
There is also some bonus content at the end that shows some early character designs and sketches and goes into more detail about some of the lore introduced in The Snowcat Prince.
Overall, this was a fun book to read and look through and I highly recommend it.
This was a darling comic! I loved Kit and Syv’s friendship, and I absolutely loved the little lesson on forgotten histories in the story. This is perfect not only for kids, but for adults as well. The art was beautiful!
3.5 stars
The artwork is amazing, absolutely stunning. Just for the artwork I would say read it! It looks so cute and colourful. I loved every bit of it.
The story and characters were fun to follow. The beginning of the story was so good it pulled me straight into the book. The first half or so of the book was pretty good and for a minute I actually thought I was reading a new favourite. Everything looked so good and the story and characters seemed really promising. Unfortunately the second half of the book felt rushed and just felt as if the writer didn’t really know what to do with the story that she had started. It could have been so good if it was just longer. Just maybe 50 or 100 pages more and the story and characters would have so much more depth. It could have been so good. That’s what I personally am a little ad about.
Because I started this book thinking I would love it and ended up just liking it.
It is still fun to read and I would definitely recommend it for adults and children. I just wished it was taken care of a little better. Because the concept for both story and characters are just great.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A great graphic novel for kids with such gorgeous and colorful illustrations. Syv reminded me a bit of the Lion King, going through difficult situations in order to become brave and good. I really liked the plot of the story, so creative as a fantasy story for young readers.
