This was another really good book by this author. I thought that I knew where the story was going but boy was I wrong. This book held my attention and I would recommend it to others.

This was just silly, and it did not work for me. I really really enjoyed The Night Swim, but this did not do it for me. This was cheesy, and it was not good in my opinion. The Escape Room by Megan Goldin was also really good, I wish this worked for me.

This one wasn't for me. I am not into the influencer culture so I didn't find it enjoyable. The main character from The Night Swim seems to have undergone a personality renovation which I found jarring and inconsistent from what we learned about her in The Night Swim.

Wow! I loved the first book in the Rachel Krall series (The Night Swim), but I actually liked this one even more! I just love Rachel's character, and I was happily surprised to find that she had a love interest in this one! I thought this story was really engrossing, and it kept me wanting to turn the pages to find out what was going on.

This book has also given me a new outlook on social media influencers. My main takeaway is that it seems exhausting! Lol

I'm hoping that we will see Rachel Krall in another book soon!

This is book two in this series, but this one could totally be read as a standalone. I did enjoy book 1 Night Swim, a bit more than this one. While some chapters did have a bit of a summary from a podcast feel I missed the mixed media of the first book. Megan gets a mysterious request from the FBI and despite her misgivings agrees to help them, but in her way. Meeting with a man about to be released who is suspected of being a serial killer she tries to find out information but leaves with a vague threat. Posing as an influencer (and to be honest podcaster is pretty related) she investigates a young influencer who has gone missing, the last and only visitor that same inmate had during his incarceration. I thought Rachel was much more reckless in this one and while I understand her need to find the truth I hope she can wisen up and make some better choices.

Megan Goldin is a truly skilled mystery/thriller writer. This wasn't as great as the first book in this series, but it still manages to be a fast-paced mystery and an honest critique of the justice system Goldin touches on the inhumanity of prisons in the US, the way law enforcement neglects women in certain communities and the negligence of the police when it comes to targeting certain people. Unfortunately, there's also a romance, a social media convention, and a very stinky killer. There is way too much happening, and I wish it got narrowed down to one or two things.

I enjoyed this every bit as much as The Night Swim and I'm hoping there will be more in the series. I like the podcast component and the addition of the FBI agent. The mystery was solid and really good. Definitely a must read series for mystery lovers.

I am such a fan of this series. It fills that Mary Higgins Clark place in my heart from childhood but with a more modern take. I love the podcast vibe! Some parts were a bit predictable but overall I really enjoyed the pacing and short chapters. I will definitely read all the books in this series, can’t wait for the next one!

I enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I was looking for a huge reveal or plot twist, but unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed and could see it all coming before it happened. Even still, Megan Goldin is a wonderful writer and she does great characterization and creates a fast-paced plot. Once you pick it up, you’ll be dying to know how it all ends!

I was so excited for another book with Rachel Krall! I loved the podcaster in the first book & this time she is helping the FBI look for a missing influencer. This book was full of twists & turns! I loved the podcast, influencer & true crime in this book.

I am admittedly a big Megan Goldin fan as well as a big Rachel Krall fan and this book did not disappoint. I couldn't put this one down and finished in two settings - would've been one if work hadn't gotten in the way! Even on my busiest day, I was still finding time to pick this one up.

I feel like Goldin did a great job of continuing to develop Rachel's character, this time in the lens of basically strangers, and I loved getting to see her personality a little more. She seems so normal - someone I'd know and love in real life and I loved the tension that built with some of the new characters we met. This was one of the most "classic" thrillers I have read in awhile, and it almost felt nostalgic. I also want to say that I can't wait for book 3 and I hope that Agent Martinez makes another appearance - I'm hoping for more development in their relationship!

This was a decent thriller, but I wasn’t compelled to read it, didn’t connect to any of the characters, and I was a little confused by the ending. The audio performance was good, with Desz delivering the third-person narrative and LaVoy delivering Rachel's podcasts.

I’m counting it as read because I made it over 50%. But then I actually DNF’d. everything on the book synopsis happens in the first 100 pages and then I was just bored. Disappointing.

My greatest regret is that I didn’t read this book sooner. This book build suspense and quite the arc to draw the reader in to follow the story. It was so well done! I highly recommend reading this.

Megan Goldin never disappoints! I have greatly enjoyed her other books and this as no different. Twisty and kept me guessing. Main character is the same as the Night Swim. I almost would say I enjoyed this second book in the series better than the first. More Please!

This was my first book to read by this author but it won't be my last! This was a beautifully written novel that evokes so many emotions and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Don't miss out on this one!

After reading several books in a row that took real effort to become absorbed in the story, what a relief to read Dark Corners, the newest Rachel Krall book by author Megan Goldin! This story immediately had me captivated, and I couldn't wait to be able to return to it and see what happens next!

The plot is twisty and too hard to summarize here, but suffice it to say that you will not be able to put down this book until the mystery is solved in the final pages!

I loved this story and all the twists! Told partly in a podcast and the rest in present day life the reader is thrown into the world of social media influencers and a desperate race to keep a suspected killer from being released from prison. The title is perfect and has several meanings in the story. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put it down!

I am thrilled that Megan Goldin decided to turn The Night Swim into a series. While I did prefer the first book, Dark Corners is fast-paced with plenty of twists to keep the reader interested. There are a lot of different threads, but the ending pulls everything together well and I was satisfied by the reveal. I enjoy books with podcast and influencer elements, so this was a fun read.
