Christmas at the Little Knitting Box is a lovely, cosy festive read which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was somewhat predictable but that's what I want in this type of book and it really got me in the mood for Christmas.

Cleya moved to New York from London after a divorce. She went there to help her grandfather with the little knitting box the store that had been in her family for years. she really is enjoying her life in New York City she has a best friend opal and does her best to get out to see her but the store keepss her pretty busy. She does make it to opals Thanksgiving dinner though and she is on high alert for her friends inevitable set up. When they introduced her to Dylan she thinks he must be the guy but then Opals husband quickly takes him away and Cleya is confused. When she goes outside to get air he soon jointer and they share a private moment and a bottle of champagne. This leads them to making out in the street. He wants to see her again but she’s not looking for a long-term relationship but that doesn’t stop her from continuously thinking about him. When he asks her out on a date she says yes send it on this day to find out things that she doesn’t like but she will also find out how strong her and Dylans chemistry actually is. This was such a good Christmas story and I know this is a horrible summary but I didn’t want to give anything away but wasn’t in the blotter. Just know if you’re in the mood for a Christmas book that this is a great one. There is so much in this book cute kids a hug guy a single dad and a woman very deserving of love. I loved it! I just love this author more and more each book I read by her! This one I did struggle to like the main characters to start with and boy was I getting frustrated with them at times but as I got to know them more, the more I grew to love them and became invested in their stories! The shop felt magical to me and it made me think of a wool shop we had locally when I was a child and how I loved visiting it with my nanny so thank you for conjuring up past memories for me as well as making me lose myself in this book!

This book was a pleasant book that gave me just enough to want to read the next book in this new series New York Ever After.
This book had so much in it that I felt at times I was right there with the characters. The author did a good job mixing so much together and making it all work smoothly. Suspense, Christmas, family, romance and knitting make for a combination that definitely feels good reading.
This would make an excellent Hallmark movie!

This is such a lovely heartwarming read with likeable characters and cute children! Cleo runs the the Little Knitting Box in New York and Dylan is a single dad to Ruby and Jacob. They meet at a party held by joint friends Violet and Robert. Dylan comes with children and an ex wife, and Cleo moved to New York four years previously from England after her divorce to take over her grandparents knitting shop. There is an instant attraction and I really loved how their relationship developed and how they both faced up to their pasts and what they really wanted in life. I also thought that the sensitive issues of post natal depression and loss were covered well but not made to much of a focus. I found this an easy, festive read that only took me a day to read whilst curled up with hot chocolate and mince pies!

I loved the premise of this story, and really wanted to love it, but had a difficult time. The language and vernacular used was...unusual. I'm about some hand-crafts, but not into knitting, so it could just all be knitting-related words, but it felt like it needed a glossary. The plot itself was simple and sweet. Like a Hallmark movie, it breaks your heart before rebuilding your faith in humanity. The romance is expected and there aren't really any twists, but if a straight-shooting Christmas read is on your wishlist, this might be just the ticket.

I haven't read a Helen Rolfe book for what seems like ages, so it's good to return to her books and what a book this is, I am in absolute love with every part of this, from the gloriously festive cover to the heartwarming story which is full of love, friendship and of course Christmas!
This book instantly caught my attention, I love a Christmas story and have a soft spot for New York set stories, so this one pulled me towards it and I am delighted to say it didn't disappoint. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this book, it has the most adorable characters in the form of Cleo and Dylan, they are likeable and relatable people who you easily can get behind. I liked how it's split between both of their perspectives so you get to know each of them in a natural way and I was completely glued to watching their lives unfold, it's charming and engaging on all levels.
I loved the knitting aspect, I don't knit myself much preferring to crochet, as I can never seem to get my head around using needles. As with any pair of woollen socks, this is warm and cosy and will leave you feeling all of the festive joy and full of romance. A definite must-read!!

I’m a knitter of sorts so I loved the setting of this story and the knitting speak. It feels warm and almost tactile to read with the descriptions of the different wools or yarn.
The characters of Cleo and Dylan are fabulous, there are twists and turns and ups and downs for these two. But sparks fly between them and I was rooting for the pair of them from the start.

Relationships can be tricky, there is baggage, kids and exes to contend with and this story melds all this together we ease.
Dylan and Cleo are clearly meant to be together but there are obstacles, Prue, Dylan’s ex is a large one, totally manipulative and one you will love to hate!
If only they’d talk to each other properly!! But we’ve all been there, those conversations in your head that you have second guessing every little thing, I recognised so much and so many feelings rang true.
And ooh - the little twist bringing Cleo and Prue together, I LOVED that, unexpectedly brilliant, but the outcome of that meeting leads to something that you will have to read to find out…

There is hope and grief and love and joy, twinkling lights and snow - everything you could ask for really, plus it’s made me want to reach for my knitting needles again!

Really enjoyable read. I loved Dylan and Cleo. 5*.

What an absolutely, gorgeous story, as a knitter myself I enjoyed every wonderful moment although I had to Google Vicuna! I'm so pleased that Chloe and Dylan found their happy ever after

I was supposed to be reading this book as a readalong and just read a few chapters ... which ended up being one sitting!!!

Set in New York this cute read centers around Cleo and Dylan. Cleo’s mother died when she was young and she's had difficulties forming any kind of relationship since. She's not been able to move on. I liked how she was forced to challenge her mindset and finally find peace, especially with her step mum and her ex. Her story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming.


Dylans ex wife left him and their children but has realised that she made a mistake. They were also able to move on. I loved the ending. I won't spoil it but it was one of those 'hugs from a book' moment.

I just loved everything about this book I love to crochet so I was instantly drawn to it. I was thrilled to see it was book one of a series. I'm already looking forward to reading more.
