This is a fun version of Groundhog Day. In this variation Jack Lincoln is a time-loop relieving the same Thursday. For nearly five months he has been literally running into the same girl. He’s become convinced that they way out of the loop is to have the girl, Gemma Peters fall in love with him.
In this reimagined telling most of the book happen is one day. Jack spends part of the day trying to convince Gemma to be open to the fact they have met, gone to lunch and met his PHD scientist friend many times. And he does know a lot about her that is uniquely specific. Gemma has a few issues of her own. Her last boyfriend used her to get ahead in his music career as her father is industry mogul. That leads to her being more estranged from her father. She is also concerned about her brother getting to LA.
I like that I didn’t have to read about the same day many times, which is more the norm in this type of storyline. Gemma comes off in the beginning as lacking confidence but she has learned her distrust from incidents with her ex and her dad. I like the story arc includes a change and growth in herself and not just Jack fixing things. This is a positive, kissing only, fun story and easy to recommend.
Thank you to Penguin Group Dutton for the ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review. (3.5 Stars)
I loved the ending/last 30% of this book!! This felt like 50 first dates meets John Mars. The first half was maybe a little sci-fi heavy for romance lovers and maybe a little less romance heavy, but once I got through the first 50% and wrapping my head around the time glitch it started to really pick up. So many cute scenes at the end of the book that made me smile!! 3.75 stars!
This was a very cute read! I usually enjoy a time loop and this was no different!
I enjoyed the romance aspect of this book, as well as the growth of the main character. The book really spoke to the main character’s own journey and realizations, which was valuable.
Overall, this was a cute read with some substance. I would recommend this book!
This very romantic story is reminiscent of Groundhog Day and 100 First Dates. Gemma and Jack are stuck reliving the same day and must find a way to break the cycle. It has some great characters that provide wonderful entertainment. It is at times funny and poignant. They have lots of help from family and friends to get them to their happy place.

I enjoy time loop stories and this one did not disappoint. The Deja Glitch is a light, fun and cute read. I liked that this was told in a day instead of taking us through the 5 months of Gemma and Jack meeting over and over. Also, I like how we read this from Gemma’s perspective rather than Jack; Gemma being the one totally off guard not knowing what is going on and Jack who is in the loop and knows exactly that. The two had great chemistry and I was falling more in love with every scene they had together. I also like that Holly didn’t just write about G&J’s relationship. She wrote about her relationship with her best friend, brother, and her father and I think all those parts played a big role in Gemma’s character and we got to see how she developed on her journey throughout the story.

A super cute romance with an enjoyable twist on a time loop! It was interesting to see a time loop through the perspective of the secondary character, and not have to read through the same day over and over again.
This book was super cute. I feel like time loop books can be a little hard to pull off but I really enjoyed this one. It’s pretty low spice so if you are not into that this book is a safe choice. I think my o my complaint is that I think some of the scenes are a little too long and wordy. I still finished it in a day so that wasn’t a huge deterrent but I could see some people getting bored with it.
Solid 3 stars!
Super cute and fun read! Generally not a fan of time-loops due to the repetition but this book manages to skip all that by not having Jack repeat the time loop over and over, it happens off the page. This book has a little bit of everything I love, romance, characters with personal growth and a sassy best friend! Gemma took awhile to grow on me but I appreciated her growth throughout the story. I loved the twist in that the author decided to tell the story from the love interests perspective and not of the person stuck in the time loop - a different take that intrigued me. Would recommend if you're looking for a quick, easy read!

✨My Opinion✨
Cozy Fantasy time loop
rom-com
Clean romance
Insta-love
Introverts
Family drama
Miscommunication
There was a dog at the beginning, but it was quickly evident that the author forgot/didn’t think the dog was important to the plot… so we never see him again, which made me sad.
Other than that, I ate this story up! It was so cute! There was drama, personal growth, and fairly clean considering they are stuck in the day they met. It didn’t feel repetitive and the steaks felt high enough with the threat of having to repeat the day of things go downhill.

I really loved this book! I read a time loop book in the past that I loved and this book lived up to the same standards. The characters are funny, interesting and really lovable. The chapters are pretty captivating and I thought it was an easy book to binge. This book is in third person and almost completely in the female main character's pov so keep that in mind! I'm used to reading first person dual pov so this caught me off guard in the beginning 😭. I thoroughly enjoyed this book though and I would definitely enjoy reading more from this author!
This is not for me. I couldn't get into it. It may be when I was reading it but I couldn't get past the first chapter ever. I tried multiple times
Gemma Peters in a bit of a rut after her ex used her for connections to get a record deal, and she's not interested in dating musicians ever again. She (literally) runs into Jack at a cafe one morning, and the two of them enter a time loop. He realizes they're stuck in their own personal Groundhog Day, but she doesn't.
This is a unique take on the time loop trope, as Gemma is the one we see the story through, and she doesn't realize she's in a time loop. I enjoyed the interactions and eventual chemistry between the two, but Gemma's childishness was a little too much for me.
If you enjoy the time loop trope, you might enjoy this slow burn romance!

A mix of 50 First Dates and Groundhog Day, Jack, our main love interest is doomed to repeat the same day. He can’t figure out why or how to undo it, but he knows it has something to do with Gemma. The problem is that she doesn’t remember him and has no clue what is happening. This was a very cute story. Easy read, not a whole lot of spice, and a HEA. Cute for those who like simple syrupy sweet style romances.
Gemma runs into a guy at her coffee shop and ruins her blouse. He seems familiar, and he tells her it’s because she’s lived the same day over and over. Jack believes he needs her to fall in love with him in a day to finally end this Groundhog’s Day situation. She doesn’t want to believe him, but he knows things about her he couldn’t guess.
A really fun concept about confronting things that scare you, believing in yourself, and opening yourself up to new possibilities. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
With all the time loops I have read, you would think I would have grown tired of them by now. After reading this hilarious meet cute I can confirm that is not the case!
The Déjà Glitch
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This is a mostly single POV romance told from Gemma’s perspective as she goes through a day filled with Déjà vu while Jack tries to convince her they’ve lived this day before (147 times!) He’s an almost unwavering sunshine to her slightly pessimistic grumpiness but it’s a match you can’t help but root for!
It was a quick read and a lot of fun, a cute romantic take on being stuck in a time loop!
Things I enjoyed:
✔️ slow burn
✔️ found family
✔️ Jack’s tenacity
Thank you to @netgalley , @duttonbooks, and @hellohollyjames for a chance to read this creative and sweet romance

The Deja Glitch
4.25 ⭐️
This book was such a cute, comforting read! I don’t usually love time loop romcoms but this was wonderfully done, actually made the trope to its advantage!
Gemma and Jack must break out of a time loop, if only Gemma could remember Jack! This books is full of real characters and the sweetest gestures from Jack. Seen from Gemma’s point of view, we get to see Jack as well as her family and friends who’s relationships start to change throughout the story.
I read this book in a day, I was enjoying it so much! Check out this book when it comes out August 1st! Thanks to @netgalley for this ARC of The Deja Glitch!
Omg, gosh darn cutest book! This just made me smile the whole time I was reading it. Nothing hot or heavy, but just good old fashioned romantic comedy.
Oh, this novel was good, more than that. The way the story was set into motion and was written so beautifully, I was hooked from start to end, I couldn't put it down for a single second. my eyes were glued to my screen. I was curious about how novels written in time loops work, and this one gave me a great impression of those. I really like the concept and enjoyed that the entire novel is just based on events that are happening in one day, and I would say a good 12 hours straight, the flow of the character's conflicts, motivations, and everything in between was written so smoothly, there were no loose ends and it was a smooth transition to each scene. This novel is also an easy read and not too difficult to follow and it grabs your attention immediately. 10/10 would recommend and so happy that I got accepted to read this ARC
Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free ARC copy of this book for my review.
Overall, this was a cute rom-com style book, but it was a bit over explained in places. You really have to suspend belief for most of the book to enjoy the story overall. Trying to re-invent Groundhog's Day yet again doesn't really work very well in this one.
2 stars for it was ok.
