Both my son who is 8 years old and I read the book. It’s a very quick read for my 8 year old but he enjoyed the story & laughed at the Robot not worried about his ‘toy’ going down the cliff. My son did wish the story was longer. We have not read the other ones in the series but wasn’t necessary to enjoy the story. This would be good for 6-8 year olds. I appreciate no potty humor as the parent.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

We loved James Kochalka's distinctive illustration style, the bright contrasting colours on the loud dramatic pictures defines the Glork Warrior books. The story was simple and easy to follow along, my daughter especially enjoyed mimicking how Baby Quackaboodle talks.

Thank you NetGalley and IDW Publishing, Top Shelf Productions for accepting my request to read and review Glork Patrol (Book 3).

Author: James Kochalka
Published: 03/14/23
Genre: Children's Fiction

Note: This is my first Glork Patrol and it read seamlessly. I can only imagine the first two were as fun.

The color palette appealed to me, and I found as the pages went on I noticed the illustrations less and went right away to the words. The illustrations are cute and quirky. I enjoyed the story and laughed out loud a couple of times.

I would gift this in a heartbeat, and would suggest it to babysitters. There is a lot of fun to be had with this story, and cues for Simon Says are here too.
