Samuel decides to go to sea to make his fortune so he can prove to Maria’s family that he is worthy of her love and hand in marriage, When he leaves Maria is pregnant and per the Puritan guidelines of the day is shunned and imprisoned for her supposed sins. Madeline decides to research the story of Maria and find out what happened to her and Samuel. With the help of her best friend Chelsea, Aunt Phoebe, sexy historian Evan Thompson and mysterious guide Noah, Madeline sets out to solve the mystery and hopefully right the wrongs of the past,

I really enjoyed this book. The setting, the historical story and especially the supernatural nature of the book really interested me. I was pleased to see at the end that this will continue as a series. I look forward to the next book with anticipation.

Madeline have gift to see thing from past. Sometimes it just memory from past but this time there are message. After buying old walnut box from estate sale Madeline star had vision and dreams about Maria Hallett from 1714.

Madeline alway denying her gift, always looking for logical reason. When she do research about Marie Hallett she tried to understand her power, her purpose on life and get coaching by noah a mysterious scottish sailor, also there are Evan, who help Madeline dig into history. Evan so open minded about her powers, no judgment at one point all of spritual thing make Evan overwhelm. Both of them have trust issue, together Madeline and evan through all obstacle in their relationship.

Wow, i love this theme. I enjoy this book. Make me more understand about spritual term. Concious dream was awe me. Madeline spritual journey so inspire, i hope there are more story about her journey.
