This is a fun and insightful birthday/astrology resource. The authors unravel the mysteries of birth dates, giving us an overview of understanding ourselves and others better. based on date of birth This guide offers an interesting journey of self-discovery and meaningful connections with others. An entertaining resource for anyone curious about the hidden magic behind their birthday.
I enjoyed this book; I've always been interested in what my birthday may mean and this book helped me to understand this way of thinking. It was fun to read up and connect the birthdays of friends and family and learn more.
Thank you to Netgalley and Author Monte Farber for allowing me to read and provide an honest review of the book.
I loved this. It was spot on for some and ehh on others. Really fun. This would make a cool birthday gift for those friends into these kinds of things. There’s even a place to put peoples names on their birthday.
This is a standard book that fits in the divination space. It was easy to digest and the writing was very insightful. I enjoyed the layout but this is not the first book I would recommend to those who want to dig in to astrology.
I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher.
This book gives a short description of each day of the year. It has a small section on personality, destiny, life path, karmic lessons (lessons you will learn on life's journey), and secrets (hidden talents or traits based on your birth day). They also have a quote for each day and a short list of notable people who were born on the same day. On the side is a small lined section to add the names of friends or family who were born on that day.
I thought it was an interesting book and done well for its type. The formatting was beautiful. I found the information contained for my birthday to be 50/50 on how right it was, but I never expect this type of book to be 100% spot on. As a book of true study for meaning, I would not recommend this one. However, as an introduction to this type of material or as a tabletop-type book, it is perfect.
A lovely unusual book, perfect for those interested in star signs and birth charts.
Thanks so much to Netgalley and the publishers for letting e access this book in exchange for my feedback.
3.5 stars
I have mixed feelings about this one. This is a different kind of astrology book. The focus is on each day of the month instead of each sign. Because of this, it isn't as in depth as others.
Each day gets one page covering, personality, life path, destiny, karmic lesson and secret.
While I love the idea, this book isn't really practical for most people, unless you have a lot of loved ones and friends you wish to read about. You would most likely read your own date and your significant other's, then be done with the book.
I'd say this is a good book for the right reader.
The idea behind this book is to provide insight on a person's life path and such based on their date of birth, somewhat like astrology but seemingly more specific and accurate.
However, when I looked up my birthday in this book, I felt that the descriptions of my personality, life path, and destiny were not a truly accurate description of me. It brought up things that apply to me sometimes but not all the time.
But I did like how each page provided room to write your friends and family members down on each birthday page and the idea that you can learn more about people in your life this way.
I also found out that I share a birthday with a former U.S. president, which is cool.
The book has a nice design, with different colours to help distinguish between different months of the year. The written content is nicely summarized into one page for each day of the year.
Although I didn't feel that the descriptions intended for those with my birth date don't necessarily describe me perfectly, this does not mean to say that the descriptions won't hold true for others.
This book is a fun read and it's so accurate. It doesn't only show you your personality but also show you your life path, destiny, karmic lesson and a secret about you. As an astrologist, I find this fascinating because this is the culmination of astrology and numerology. Karma is such an interesting topic to study and learn about. Although, this bookit feels like a coffee table book rather than something you actually read cover to cover. That won't discourage me from buying this though! Because this'd be a simple and fun book to pass around while sitting with your friends and family but if you take the notes to your heart, it might just be a life changing set of quotes!
I like the format of the book and how it is easy to understand. I found the information for my birth date to be quite accurate but not for my partner. It was interesting to look at.
he Karmic Birthday Book covers all 366 days in a year--including February 29, Leap Day. Each day is giving its own dedicated page with information regarding personality, destiny, life path, karmic lessons, and secrets to help each individual along their path. Each day also includes a short list of celebrities who share the birthday as well as a place to record the names of family or friends born on that day. There's also a quote that sort of summaries or resonates with the energy of the day. The illustrations are vibrant and definitely lend a mystical feel to the book. While interesting, the information provided is fairly general. It's obvious the authors pulled inspiration from astrology and other sources to present the entries. However, to gain a fully developed picture other sources of astrology should be consulted. Anyone interested astrology will find The Karmic Birthday Book handy as a place to record birthdays as well as discovering some insights into specific days.
This is a fun book to have out on your coffee table when friends and family come over. The sections that this book lists out are fun and relevant, but I would have liked even more information for each birth date.
I liked this book. It breaks down each birthday with insight into all aspects of life. Months are delineated by different colors. I especially liked the area to write down the names of loved ones on their birthdays to help you understand them.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc!
I started reading the introduction and found the whole tone to be pretty pompous, so I figured hey this guy must have most days accurate if he's this sure of himself. I found most of mine to be accurate, but not really for anyone else I looked up. Now I get it, astrology is subjective and of course not everyone will particularly resonate with what's basically a generalization about a day, but I expected a little more than what I read lol.
That said, it's still a fun book to skim through if you don't take these things too seriously and just have fun with them :)

First and foremost, I LOVE the cover. It definitely helps with the whimsical aspect to the book. But, the descriptions I felt were "somewhat" accurate. Naturally, I checked mine, but I also looked at my best friend, my mother and other people I know first. I figured if there's were not accurate then mine surely would not be. For each of the people, maybe 50% of the text on average were accurate for them. For mine, it was more accurate but not entirely. I think this book would be a good novelty to have around the house. Similar to a conversation starter that might be laying on the coffee table.
This was a fun, light read - perfect for anyone interested in astrology. While there weren't any huge insights in this book, I think it would be a great birthday present or holiday gift.
I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book. Extremely hard to download I found not finish this.
This is a fun coffee table book. I enjoyed looking up friends’ and families’ birthdays and found the descriptions to be pretty spot-on for the most part. This is definitely not a read-it-cover-to-cover book, but it would be an entertaining reference to keep around.
This is a set of short and fun details of certain personality traits and beliefs attributed to your date of birth. It lends some positivity, even if they are not necessarily true on all fronts. It's a quick enjoyable read and notes some famous people who also share your birthday.
A lovely book, well and concisely written. Would make an excellent gift.
