This book has beautiful illustrations and short descriptions for each day of the year. Personality, life path, secret, destiny, and karma. This would be a great gift for someone, although it wouldn’t provide a deep dive into the subject matter. It’s short and sweet.
I went straight to my birthday page (as I guess we all did), and was really disappointed about it. Not really accurate for me!, (or my partners one actually). I expected a bit more about each birthdate and maybe some other information like : your colour, number, stone, spirit animal… I read other pages from friends and relative and the information are quite broad and basic I will say.
I don’t say it was bad, just not for me I guess.
Thank you NetGalley for this Arc.
Well mine was pretty spot on. As well as my mother's and a few friends. It even had me chuckling a bit at accurate bits that I didn't want to hear. While not as long and thorough as some of the other astrology books I have, it succeeds in being exactly as described... 5 short sections on who you fundamentally are. It's designed almost like a planner, with dedicated margins for you to write it. I second what others have said and believe this would make a great gift for someone who likes astrology.
PS Gorgeous cover!
This book is really interesting. It gives so much detail on each day of the year, focussing on different topics.
I also like that it lists some celebrities who were born on each day too - however I think the people mentioned are more known in the USA, so would have liked some more names that I have heard of.
Nice idea for a book, and would make a lovely gift.
A very cool book about birthdays. I loved the illustrations and descriptions. It was a super fun book to read through. This would make a great gift for someone interested in birthdays.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.
I've always enjoyed perusing through books like these and looking up my friend's and family's birthdays in them and having a good chuckle, whether they're spot on or completely off. This one is no exception. I like that the pages of the months are different colors; should help you flip through it easier. I looked up myself and a few friends and family members, and it captured them (and myself) decently well. I never regret flipping through these books, as they do provide much entertainment, this one did just that!
I immediately flipped to my birthday, like probably everyone does, but I was quite disappointed. I expected the info to be brief, one page per day, but I also thought I would find some info that described me. Unfortunately, less than 25% of the text described me at least somewhat. I had to double check the date, to make sure I read the right date
This could just be an unfortunate coincidence, and other birthdays may be much more accurate, but i have to evaluate the book on what I read, so I'm sad to give it only 2 stars.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a review copy.
I was given the opportunity to review this book through Netgalley.
I think that although the subject matter is very interesting, it leaves you feeling shortchanged.
In the book, each birthday has only five paragraphs of information and one of them is only one sentence long.
The book is not terrible. I think it's the kind of book you would gift a teenager who is interested in the topic so they can have a quick read of their birthday and quickly check her friend's too.
Unfortunately for someone like me, who is 32 and wants in depth details! This just doesn' cut it.
The images are cute, the colors are nice.
This was super fun and very much on point for me as well as my sister (I had to look up my loved ones immediately). I will say that the more people you have to apply it too the more useful it will be as each birthdate gets a single page of content (totally understandable). I would be interested in reading more of this authors work.
A very attractive engaging "coffee table" book, I loved the premise and was aware, before even reading, that (by default) the information presented for each birthday was likely to be somewhat formulaic. Still, I think the book, overall, was well done and sure to be a good gift book for anyone interested in Astrology or comparing their karmic profile to family and friends.
My voracious interest about astrology and numerology made me click the request button quicker to reach this arc copy a little faster. But it only informs you about the date of the birthday which made me curious that each person who was born in the same day would share the same destiny.
Truth: I read the informations about my own birthday and half of it is true. Thankfully I can read my own astrological chart that can give me more information about my past, present and karmic burden I have to confront.
So this book didn’t give me any specific, exciting, exploring, additional information that earned my attention solid three stars.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group- Fair Winds for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions.
I wish there was more than one page per birthday and that it was much more in depth. I didn’t really find out much more about myself or my friends than I already knew!
Thank you, Quarto Publishing Group, for the advance reading copy.
This book is so good! I would say anyone who sees this book would immediately flip the page which has their birthdate and read what their personalities are like.
I do feel they are rather accurate!
I find the cover and the colourful pages perfect for the theme.
Go for it. This book doesn’t have an expiry date!
