Thank you for the E Arc NetGalley and Amazon Stories. If you love a good quick swoon this is your story, the only problem is, you don’t want it to end. This book gave me the feels and I loved it so much. I could read so much more about Caleb, Nola, Arden and Grandma. This is the perfect cozy Christmas story to sit and indulge in.

If you like You’ve Got Mail but want it to be even more heavy on the seasonal setting, with protagonists who’ve dated once upon a time, and a very Hallmark-esque Christmas-crazy town, well, this Short Story is perfect for you.
Both Nola and Caleb were good main characters and I really loved their fun letter exchanges. There is something about people who belong together just clicking with each other when they have their guards down and allow connections to happen. Outsider their epistolary fun they also charmed my pants off.
All in all - a short, fun, and sweet Christmas story about second chances, perfect to get in the festive mood during the busy season.

4.5 stars
Short, sweet & merry!! I loved this and the fact that we get to see a bit of Nola from Untying the Knot!!
I absolutely loved the letter writing in this book. Think two grinchy pen pals who are not loving the holiday vibes around them communicate about their mutual dislike through old school letter writing!!
Archer & grandma Louise >>>> let’s be honest they’re the real main characters. I love them with my whole heart.
Tropes:
Second chance romance
Small town

Resting Scrooge Face is a fantastic little holiday novella that is filled with sweet rom-com moments that I adore from Meghan Quinn. My biggest complaint is that it's too short!!
If you've already read Untying the Knot then you have already met Nola Bisley- Ryot's older sister and know that from that story that Nola reconnected with Caleb, the boy that broke her heart, when she returned to their hometown to renovate her childhood home. This is that story.
Nola and Caleb's story has all the makings of a hallmark holiday special- the small town, the meddling family/friends, second chances and making amends all the while there is healing when a kindred spirit is found for the grumpiness that the lonely can feel around the holidays. The correspondence between Resting Scrooge Face and Ho Ho No had me rolling with laughter all the while loving the awkward yet tension filled interactions between Caleb and Nola. With this just being a short novella- their reconnection moves quickly and without much drama. While I would have loved more of these two, Resting Scrooge Face is a perfect little sweet holiday read!

Fun second-chance romance/Christmas story. Super quick read! Thanks, Amazon Original Stories and NetGalley for the digital ARC in return for an honest review!

I enjoyed this novella. It was a quick read and very straight forward. There aren’t any surprises.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Fun, funny and festive, Resting Scrooge Face is a short and sweet holiday rom-com.
From bah humbug to holiday cheer, this cute, sassy, light-hearted story is a sure-fire way to get you into the holiday spirit. Proving that love and happiness are sometimes just a few letter away and all you need is a little... seasonal magic.
4 stars and a sprig of mistletoe

I absolutely loved this short story. Resting Scrooge Face had everything I was looking for in a holiday story including bickering, witty characters, second chance romance and letter writing. I was laughing and swooning throughout.
The only thing that made me sad about this was how short it was. I could’ve read about Nola and Caleb (and Grandma Louise and Arden) for days!
I highly recommend reading Resting Scrooge Face this holiday season!

Resting Scrooge Face is a quick little novella with a second change romance. The book is set in Bright Harbor, Maine which is the neighbouring town of Port Snow - featured in another series from MQ. But that's not the only connection this book has, as Nola makes an appearance in MQ's latest book, Untying The Know - she is Ryot and Banner's sister. And if you are wondering on the time line, this story takes place before Ryot's HEA.
The story is only seven chapters long and features Nola and Caleb, who were childhood sweethearts, trying to avoid each other but unbeknownst to them, writing letters to one another and being very bah humbug with the festive season upon them. The main reason they are both not feeling the cheer, is because they feel that he / she was the one that got away. If only someone could show them that they are meant to be together....oh wait there is! Two to be precise, and they work their magic with setting up meetings and the letters. As all novellas do, it wraps up nicely with some good humor, clever banter and a little swooning.

"Just remember, sometimes people come back into your life for a reason."
A second chance love story between the girl who got away and the boy who broke her heart, Resting Scrooge Face brings together Nola and Caleb, two souls who have lost their Christmas spirit. Following a breakup, Nola moves from NYC back home to Bright Harbor, Maine, a picturesque small town full of holiday cheer. She hopes to avoid her ex-boyfriend, Caleb, his feelings mutual, until the mailman delivers an anonymous letter to her from someone who shares her distaste for the holidays. Finding a kindred spirit in the letter, she writes back, beginning a series of exchanges with the mystery sender until the day she finally meets him in person.
This story spoke to my cold, dark heart as I admittedly share a similar view of the holidays. I loved the epistolary exchange of letters between two people getting to know one another again, fully open and honest with their words. I loved the meddling of Arden and Grandma Louise and I thought they were great characters. As for Nola and Caleb, I didn't like them initially as their words and actions felt quite immature considering their shared history. As their walls broke down, I became more invested in their story and found it endearing how they let each other in, moving on from past hurts and regrets. As a romantic comedy, I didn't resonate with the author's writing, as has happened before, but it's simply a mismatch to my own personal preference. Overall, however, this was a sweet, yet super short, holiday story of two people who were destined for each other and who gave love a second chance.
"Even during our time apart, even when our hearts were both shattered, it’s always been you. Always and forever."

So cute!! Loved the pen pal aspect of this and who doesn’t love meddling grandmothers! You can always count on meghan to give you a feel good book with all the banter.

This is a fun novella set in a small town in Maine. Caleb and Nola are ex’s and Nola is now back in town. The did not leave things on good terms and both are not feeling the joy of the holidays. This was a very enjoyable quick second chance read. I also loved that we got a little glimpse of things in Port Snow.

2.5 stars. This is a short story, and very surface level. I felt like it was too short and rushed. There was no spice in it really. Just kissing. A super quick read to add to your holiday TBR.
Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC!

Thank you netgalley and Meghan Quinn for this arc in exchange for my honest review. This was my first introduction to Meghans books and overall it was cute there are parts that I rolled my eyes (she totally should have figured it out first) also very over mentioning HP in books its not necessary and not something I expect in romance books or frankly mentioned in any books. I will check out Meghan blacklist.

Meghan Quinn and a Christmas Novella? Yes please!
Super cute, very short little Christmas themed book. Honestly the perfect read after reading MQ’s Untying The Knot. Which I literally finished moments before reading this. The story is about Nola Bisley (Ryot’s sister) and the boy her broke her heart many years ago, Caleb. When she moves back home to a town near Ports Snow (iykyk) and that forces them to see each other again.
I very much enjoyed the read, did not take much time at all but still had that Meghan Quinn humor and romance feel.

And it’s Christmas novella season again!!
When I saw Meghan Quinn had a new one coming up I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This had the sweetness of a Christmas novella mixed with humor that was classic Meghan Quinn. The banter was amazing, I adored the side character as much as the main characters, and thank you for including an Easter egg of my favorite lobster loving town. This is a perfect book to start if you are in the mood for a fun Christmas themes romance novella
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon for this ARC

This was a charming and funny holiday short story! I loved the alternating perspectives and the sense of humor. It was a quick read to get into the holiday spirit!

What a super cute read! I was a little wary because of how short it was ... I just didn't know if I was going to get the character development I needed to fall in love with these two, but somehow Meghan Quinn did it!
I absolutely loved it. It gave a good background of the main couple, gave them both a reason to re connect and pulled it all together with a sweet bow.
Such a perfect Christmas read! I am so happy I was able to get this ARC!
I have never read a Meghan Quinn novel ... but this will definitely not be my last! 5/5!!

I loved the idea behind this story and thought the letters would be really cute. They were actually the best part of the story and part of me wishes there were more of them. The setup for the rest of the story was just ok and sort of felt rushed. The ending wrapped up way too neatly and didn’t really come across as realistic. It was cute but very convenient. It would have been nice to see them both become closer slowly instead of the quick 180 we get near the end. Also wish the side characters were utilized more. Still, it was a cute, short read I’d recommend others check out. 3.5 stars.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a copy of Resting Scrooge Face by Meghan Quinn in exchange for an honest review.
This was a short, sweet christmas novella which I really enjoyed! It was a second chance, small town romance and got me in the festive spirit.
There was also an extract from Tying the Knot which is out now!
