In this captivating fantasy romance, the author weaves a beautifully intricate world filled with magic, adventure, and an undeniable chemistry between the protagonists. Overall, this book is a delightful escape that deftly combines elements of fantasy and romance. It’s a testament to the power of love and the strength found in vulnerability. Perfect for fans of the genre, it’s a story that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the final page. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a magical journey of the heart!
This was such a sweet holiday romance. I instantly fell in love with the main characters and the hometown in the story and was rooting for them until the end. This made the perfect addition to my Christmas reading list for December! I look forward to reading more from this author as well since I really enjoyed her writing style.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for my copy in exchange for my honest review.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Maddie and Ben. They used to date when they were in high school. But when they graduated Maddie decided to go to Los Angeles to try to be an actress. Four years later she come home for Christmas. The first person she sees is Ben. He is still angry at her because he doesn’t understand why she left him to go to Los Angeles. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
I loved everything about Second Chance Christmas. It’s a wonderfully written Christmas story set in the small town of Summerwood, Oregon. The characters are likable and easy to connect with and I loved the small town feel of this story, especially during the holidays.
Maddie, a struggling actress trying to make it in L. A. returns home to Oregon to spend Thanksgiving with her family. She hasn’t seen Ben in four years, since she broke up with him to pursue her dreams. Ben, a Sergeant with the Summerwood police now has never forgotten Maddie and is surprised to see her again.
I loved reading this enchanting story. The characters are believable and easy to connect with and they share a lot of chemistry. This perfect Christmas story is full of wonderful surprises.
Thank you NetGalley for my ARC of Second Chance Christmas by Alison Packard. If you love Hallmark movies and second chance romances this is the book for you. It was a quick, fun, and romantic read with lots christmas vibes. Definitely worth the read.
A quick and easy second chance Christmas romance. Would recommend if you want a little escape read this holiday season.
Second Chance Christmas was a sweet Christmas story about an actress who, largely unsuccessful, travels to her hometown for the holidays and runs into the man she left behind four years before. Sparks still fly but she's not sure she wants to return home and give up her acting dreams. A quick holiday read, better than most! Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This was like a cute Christmas hallmark movie that you felt you were living it ❤️ Maddie & Ben’s relationship was super sweet & it was just a feel good Christmas book. I will probably put this on my yearly Christmas reading list 🥰
Loved this warm, Christmassy book. I enjoyed the story and felt like I was right there in the book! Five stars!
They remind me of hallmark movies. I really have to be in the right mood, or I get bored – but if I’m in the right mood its like stepping outside my mind and just let go. This one did just that for me.
Maddie is a struggling actress who’s come home to her small town for the holidays. On her way into town, she gets into a fender bender and her ex shows up as the sergeant on call – the same guy she abandoned four years ago. Little does she know that when she up and left he was going to propose – that night. Now that they are thrown back together sparks start to fly again, but will Maddie trade the bright lights of Hollywood for the small-town life?
I enjoyed this one and how the characters were well developed and written. I loved the love story between Maddie and Ben and how they came together. Of course, this one is easily predictable, and you know what’s coming – but that’s part of the appeal. I also enjoyed Maddie’s sister as a side character – I would love to own my own bakery! Check this one for a lovely atmospheric Holiday read!
Special thanks to @netgalley and Backlit PR for this e-book in exchange for an honest review. Good news is this one is out now – AND on KU! Grab your copy and a hot drink and sit back and enjoy.
When Maddie left town she broke Ben's heart. Now she's back and both of them find that they still feel the same for each other. Sweet second chance Christmas romance.
So Amazing!
I really love this book, the people in there even though they are gossiping shamelessly, The characters! I loved both of them. It’s a small town with so many Christmas vibes.
Maddie is an actress but she barely makes it forward. Ben is a policeman who works under Maddie’s father. Maddie and Ben broke up four years ago so they are past history but when she came home for the Christmas they both realize that the feelings they had for each other are still in there. But certain events make them close again.
Love Love Love this!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
When Maddie goes home after 4 years she finally has to make peace with her past choices. This was a good read for the season. As Ben deals with his own disappointments he realizes he still loves Maddie. The story moved forward from the beginning with a gentle pace. I did have issues with some of the language and sexual content. Although it was closed door. I definitely would read more from this author.
This book is full of Christmas vibes! I loved both characters and the very festive small town. The families of the two main characters provide some tender moments and make this a truly heart-warming book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
