An excellent historical review of past mysteries of aeronautical events that interests you and enthralls you with each chapter you read. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in aeronautical events from the past.
This is OK for me. I didn't like all of these, but the writing is good overall. This is for a niche audience, so those interested in history will probably like this most.
Thanks very much for the free review copy for review!!
From UFOs to planes vanishing in midflight this book is full of air mysteries it is so easy to blow off a UFO siding but when you put it in the historical aspect where they knew nothing of electrical lights and flying objects it’s amazing to see how many reports they had I think my favorite story in the book was the one about the air balloons but I would be hard-pressed to say that was my favorite because I had so many great stories in this book I would be the first to tell you if this was a copy and paste text but let me say it is definitely not and you can tell the author has Don their due diligence to give a great varied report of mysteries that happened in the air. I truly love books like this and this would have to be among my favorite. Totally loved it! I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
An interesting book going back to the first airships, many of which are not often talked about, so the book was a great interest to me. Amazing feats of courage and intelligence in both making and flying these machines. There are stories about the early aircraft, and of course the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, ending with wreckage TWA Constellation over the Grand Canyon. I like the fact that this book draws on the stories of early aviation, be it airships or aircraft, very interesting.
Thanks you NetGalley and the publishers for the DRC
I loved this book! It is easy and quick read, but contains good amount of information. I also loved that it talks about people/events that I haven’t heard about before (at least most of them). I am impressed and I already want to read more books by this writer
