I absolutely love this charming picture book with adorable illustrations of anthropomorphic fruits, nuts and veggies that we associate with fall. From acorns to squash, there's a pun for everyone! The pictures of parent and child type characters in the form of apples, pumpkins, etc., declaring their love in word play way. This is a perfect book for parents and grandparents to read to their children on a chilly fall day. It's sure to inspire cuddles and laughs.
This book is very cute! It was written to make words that go with foods or objects, to show appreciation, love, and affection! There was laughter and some words my son didn’t understand that I had to explain because he didn’t quite get it but, after we talked about it he enjoyed it! #NetGalley
A cute little introduction to puns for the smallest readers. My children enjoyed the funny puns and all of the pictures of big and little characters like the pies or apples. This is a very simple book but I envision little readers enjoying the adorable and colorful illustrations and hearing their parent or caregiver say sweet things about them.
This is such a cute series, but this specific installment was not my favorite. Though the illustrations were cute, the majority of the rhymes were a bit of a stretch.
Super cute and very vivid colors with an adorable poem to read to any child! Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for and honest review.
The book is unbe-leaf-ably cute and punny! The big and colorful illustrations can be pointed out and you can ask children about the colors or if they know what item is being displayed on each page. It'd make for the perfect snuggly bedtime storybook.
Cute children’s book where guardians can show and tell their children how much they are loved with a touch of fall! Great illustrations.
I love this book. It was so cute and puny. It was fun to read aloud.
You’re the apple of My Pie uses fall themed puns to express just how important your little is to you. Kids will love the fun illustrations as well as the punny rhymes.
I can’t wait to gift this book to my nieces and nephews.
This book is recommended for ages 0-3 years of age. My son became quickly bored with the book, who is 3 years old. It has a lot of pictures but I wouldn't call this a story book. Each page is an image with the following page being a sweet sentiment with a punt play on the image. The words with the punt are all different colors.
The illustrations are cute but its probably the only thing that I really enjoyed about the book.

This is a brightly coloured and nicely illustrated punny book that is a perfect length. I realize it is geared to young children but some of the puns go right over the head of older kids. Nevertheless, it is still quite cute, positive and fun to read.
My gratitude to Sourcebooks Kids, Sourcebooks Wonderland, the author and NetGalley for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
If you enjoy puns, this book will be enjoyed by you with your little one. Younger children won’t easily pick up on these puns on their own, but over time they begin to understand more of them if you explain them as you read along. This type of humour is better understood by children who are about four or five years old, but children three and under will enjoy listening along and looking at the cute animations.
Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Kids, Sourcebooks Wonderland and NetGalley or providing me with a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the cutest little board book that your littles will love. The pictures are bright and colorful with cute little pictures. This book is fall themed to perfect for the coming season. Your little ones will love the sweet puns included in pages such as "Agourding to me, you're perfect. My heart is full and true. Everyone will dissolve in giggles while reading this sweet book.
A very cute and punny book that is fun to read. Illustrations are bright and pop off the page. Adorable.
I love the play on words in this book! It was such a cute read and I loved the illustrations! It is a perfect fall read with an adult. It is really such a cute book.
If there's one thing to know about me, it's that I'm a sucker for puns! This book was absolutely adorable and put me in the fall spirit! It is about love and family and is sure to make any kiddo smile. Although the puns might be more appreciated and understood by older kids, the amazing illustrations are sure to wow all.
This book is adorable, filled with cute illustrations and many puns. It’s about family love. It would be a great book to have students make into a writing piece by making additional pages.
Although I thought this book was adorable I don't think it should be read until a kid is more around 6 or 7 when they start to understand puns.
The art is beautiful and the little quotes would make amazing Valentine's cards or weekly focuses in a class to find the wrong word.
Rose Rossner's You're the Apple of my Pie is an adorable, punny and heartwarming book that would be an amazing addition to a classroom library and every child's bedtime story collection. The illustrations are fabulous and the message is sweet and funny. The plays on words are great conversation starters and are guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of kids and adults!
Thank you to NetGalley for this ecopy of You’re the Apple of My Pie in exchange for a honest review. This is a cute book that reinforces self esteem and love . There are many play on words in this enchanting book . Great for bedtime with a parent or loved one and child. I shared this with my 6 year old grandson .
You’re the Apple of My Pie is a fun-filled adventure into the world of fall-themed puns accompanied by beautiful illustrations. Overall, I had a ball reading and reviewing this book.
Although the puns themselves may be a little over the head of young readers, I think kids get more of a kick out of how you react and laugh without fully understanding the pun itself.
I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley.
